It is so much fun to fight the big bugs on a team with them. Connecting with them this way is so precious. Also, this is the most entertaining way to maintain brain plasticity that I've discovered so far.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a middle-aged woman with bills, responsibilities, and limited gaming time, I love Deep Rock Galactic because it respects my time: clear missions, controlled chaos, satisfying teamwork, and a proper sense of completion. Even if someone gets distracted by an interesting flying bug (THAT'S ME), the team can usually still get the job done. No vague life-purpose crisis. No endless open-world wandering pretending to be freedom. Just a contained mission with a finish line. And my tired brain…

unlabelledView post →This is an in-depth comparative review, coming from someone who's been playing since the game went 1.0, and has sunk multiple hundreds of hours into Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, and Darktide. I think that DRG is far more engaging and replayable than any other co-op PVE shooter on the market because of its level-design. Every other game in this genre I can think of has handmade levels. They look stunning but are partially memorized within ~5 runs and on the 20th they don't really have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 84 hours in Deep Rock Galactic, I’ve learned two universal truths: teamwork matters, and someone is always going to press the button too early. Playing this with my kiddos has been an absolute blast — not just because shooting alien bugs is fun, and mining precious gems is lucrative, but because the game quietly teaches cooperation while pretending it’s just about yelling “I NEED AMMO” at full volume. Every mission is different, every cave is a mystery, and every drop feels like a shared…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Danger. Darkness. Dwarves One of my all-time favourite games. I've been playing on and off for over 3 years on multiple platforms, and it's still a blast. Easy to pick up, nothing complicated, and no maze of menus to navigate. The gunplay is varied and fun, with satisfying feedback. You have 4 classes to choose from, each having their own set of main and secondary weapons, along with a choice of grenades, meaning most people will likely find a class and loadout that suits their style. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thousand Hour Review If there’s a game that I gotta leave a review for, it’s this one. A lot of passion and care is put into this game, and that’s something hard to find in a lot of mainstream games nowadays. Everything from the very cooperative gameplay and the engagingly complex mission designs, to the phenomenal soundtrack and immersive sound design, to the characters of the game and their many quirky voice lines, to the smaller details like the many neat things found in our hub area, the…

It's just a lot of fun. I realize that's not the most insightful review, I'll leave that to the more hardcore critics, I just know this game has brought a lot of joy to me, my friends, and my family. Thanks to the developers. Cheers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I jumped into Deep Rock Galactic thinking “yeah this looks alright,” and came out shouting ROCK AND STONE like it’s a legally binding greeting. This game is chaos in the best possible way. You and your friends drop into a cave, immediately get lost, accidentally split up, panic when bugs start pouring out of the walls, and somehow still make it out alive while laughing the whole time. It’s less “tactical mission” and more “dwarven survival comedy.” The co-op is where it really shines. Every…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of the most addicting games I've ever played. Pros: 1. Ridiculously small size, it's only like, what...3-4 GB? 2. Season passes are completely free and you don't need to fear of missing them. You just started the game yesterday and you want to try the first season pass? You can do that. NO FOMO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! 3. Fun on both single player and co-op. If you play solo, a drone called Bosco will fight alongside you 4. Addicting gameplay loop. All the caves are randomly generated 5. If…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now at 1400 hours, with a heavily explored game space. I can say this is one of the best coop games I've ever enjoyed, with a strong modding community. I hope for a Season 7 in the near future, but even if we were done here, I'd give it the highest acclaim. Good game.

I started gaming when I was around 11 years old on an Atari 2600,then a commodore Vic 20, then a commodore 64 which I eventually had over 600 games for. I am 60 years old now and have been through many computers. My point being I have a massive amount of gaming experience and I am telling you this game makes my top 5 best games I have ever played…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got gifted this game during Season 3, but i haven't really gotten into it until Season 4 rolled around. I missed out on a lot. The game is simply good. The majority of players you encounter in the lobbies are really chill and usually have no problem with you messing something up. The gameplay loop is nice, there's no huge penalties for losing the mission, the only paid content is the game itself and the DLC armors and skins, which are purely cosmetic. The seasons have their own "season…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't fully understand this game when I first picked it up around its early access release. It sat forgotten in my library for a good year or two after that, gathering dust and honestly, I didn't even think about it. When I decided one day to try it out again I was shocked at why I didn't stick with the game the first time around. DRG has been like crack cocaine for me — the gameplay loop, weapons and gear customisation, enemy and mission variety — it has SO much content and SO much going…

unlabelledView post →Step aside, wimps. Listen to a deepbeard. After almost 1000 hours of laboring in the maws of Hoxxes IV my unbegrudgingly verdict is that this enterprise rocks. The booming explosions, the glimmering metals, the mesmerizing music, the phat hips as the dwarves run. It's all magnificent. The whole endeavor is a crystal clear of a beauty to look at, the music is euphonic as it strikes those rich notes, and boy, when the bass drops it's a mystical mix between glory and synth dwarfness that takes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I genuinely love Deep Rock Galactic. I’ve put hundreds of hours into it, bought cosmetics, convinced friends to play it, and defended the game for years because it used to feel like one of the few co-op games made by developers who actually cared. But now it honestly feels abandoned. Instead of properly supporting the game that built the community, the studio seems more interested in chasing trends with spin-offs like Survivor — which is basically “Vampire Survivors but with dwarves” — and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, great co-op, great gunplay. The only thing missing is a button to kick Molly’s metal butt.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a tragic deep dive into the rich history of Snow White's original four dwarves, before they were enslaved by the prince, poorly cloned and captured Karl only to rename him Dopey. A brilliant regaling of what once was, and a stark reminder that even in a place far off, nothing is untouchable by the greed of men.

Straightforward gameplay, progress, setup and customization. Worth to mention, no predatory DLC (only to support) and free Battle Pass.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deep Rock Galactic is what I would consider a near perfect video game. It has everything I love in games, all wrapped up into a single, chaotic package. Satisfying guns to shoot, rewarding grinding, fun movement mechanics, and masterful use of procedural generation that ensures every mission is fun and endlessly replayable. Each of the characters are genuinely funny, full of character, and impossible not to love. The gameplay swings between moments of tense combat, and brief well-earned…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the best coop game since L4D2. Despite its age, it still has a very active community (as of Aug 2026), and there are players online 24/7.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →597 days passed since release of S5 which was kinda meh Season 5 content was fun for like a week at most And now after such long wait time of almost 2 years we got an update with not even overclocks/balance changes just couple mobs and a biome... No new weapons since forever No new gameplay interactions All of that update (s6) was outsourced to Invisible Walls game studio and was not made by main devs Why not create a monthly vote/workshop (tf2 style) to vote for user content even an non…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is one of the best values in gaming. Any season content they introduce is both free AND stays around after (sometimes). Events give you previous years rewards too. Overall, they do a good job preventing FOMO while being a buy once- play forever live service game. All DLC is entirely cosmetic, and I bought it just to support the devs. Fun game solo, more fun with friends. Rock and Stone Forevermore!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is disappointing so far. I went in with an open mind knowing it'd be a very different type of game - but the roguelike mechanics just aren't fun here. Giving it a few more runs later to see if it gets better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite games of all time, if you couldn't tell by the playtime. The way you interact with terrain with Engineer and Driller as well as the sheer speed and movement flexibility of scout (my main, on which I have almost 30 elite promotions at the time of writing this review) make it incredibly fun to play. Killing bugs feels satisfying, the objectives on most missions allow for a fair amount of player autonomy so you don't need to play too close to your team all the time. There's a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the baseline gunplay and movement have remained excellent, seasonal changes have been mixed or poor in quality since season 2. The core technology that makes the game super replayable, the cave generation, has been tweaked over the years seemingly with less care than it should have been, and it has made the game environments less scenic to explore and less fun to traverse than in prior iterations. I would have recommended this game for most of my time playing, but after several…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deep Rock Galactic has quickly become one of my favorite co-op games. My friend and I can sink hours into it without even noticing the time pass. The visual style is striking and instantly recognizable, and the characters’ voice lines add a ton of charm and personality to every mission. The teamwork, the hectic fights and the sense of progression all come together perfectly. Honestly, it’s one of the best cooperative experiences you can play right now. Rock and stone!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most polished, feature-complete co-op shooter I have played. It stands above Left 4 Dead, Payday 2's golden era, and Space Marine 2 for me. These devs do not disappoint, and I have gone out of my way to buy every bonus cosmetic pack they release for the game, just to support them further. The game starts out a little slow with the progression, as that is how it teaches you all of the different mechanics of your weapons and gear. However, the longer you play, the more the game…
