positive · AI labelView post →The new series of 'Death in Paradise' looks interesting as the main actor disappears only to return years later pretending to be a character from ‘Z Cars’. Mr Fartrage is playing a detective as he prances along the pier trying to solve the case of missing voters. “I’m clueless.” he says

neutral · AI labelView post →Very excited to confirm that Death In Paradise series 14 will be starting on Friday 31 January, at 9pm on BBC iPlayer and BBC One! 🎉🎉🎉

Dani was the BBC Commissioning Editor for Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise and was a passionate champion of both shows, as well as every programme she worked on. deadline.com/2026/01/dani...

neutral · AI labelView post →My Mum has been married to my Stepdad for 13 years, and part of that stability is that he keeps the TV remote nearby so he can pause it when my Mum starts going "oh, what's he been in, you know, that show with whatsername out of that other thing" which is constantly, as she loves Death in Paradise.
neutral · AI labelView post →I’m watching an old episode of Death In Paradise, and who should show up but Joel Fry, as would-be pro surfer, Steve Taylor, with a very dodgy generic Caribbean accent. #OFMD
neutral · AI labelView post →2/2 This week I've been bingeing on The Brokenwood Mysteries, an almost cozy, formulaic whodunnit series not unlike Death In Paradise but more nuanced. Set in NZ, imagine my surprise when one of my primary school teachers pops up as one of the huge cast of regular characters! It's a small town. 😅😂
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching every episode of Death in Paradise except the ones where the lead changes, so I can headcanon it as a Doctor Who spin-off show about a Caribbean island having a Time Lord as its chief inspector
neutral · AI labelView post →I did actually really enjoy the first episode of Ludwig on BBC. Admittedly it’s a light-hearted murder mystery kind of show, but it’s so much better, so much cleverer, so much more human and empathetic than your Death In Paradise schtick.
negative · AI labelView post →Can't believe I'm saying this, but in trying to find stuff to watch with the kids, we've started watching Death In Paradise from the start. And it's, sort of fun. It's not the greatest TV show ever, but for light and breezy Sunday night watching it's... Fun.
neutral · AI labelView post →There might be Life on Mars but there’s definitely Death In Paradise! Tony Marshall will be appearing in the new series.
neutral · AI labelView post →DEATH IN PARADISE is an amazing show because it posits the existence of a pristine, beautiful Caribbean island that has the highest murder rate in the world and everyone who wants to commit an incredibly complex, intricate homicide goes there to do it despite a zero percent success rate
positive · AI labelView post →FYI Guadeloupe is the French Caribbean region where the BBC shoots the whodunnit show DEATH IN PARADISE.

neutral · AI labelView post →My kiddo calls Death in Paradise the "summer mystery show with the really pretty ladies". She specifically prefers the first season because of Camille and like...I cannot fault her taste at all.
positive · AI labelView post →Damn! Mom actually changed the TV channel to PBS at 10pm sharp to watch Death in Paradise. She must be hooked to turn off the Game Show channel. She's staring at the TV like a child - not even blinking or talking.
neutral · AI labelView post →Came across this actress Imogen King (left) via Death in Paradise, and I was repeatedly thinking that she and Rebecca Mader (right) could very convincingly play a younger and older version of the same character
neutral · AI labelView post →Miss Penny, so happy cuz she gets to touch the blue blanket and even happier when she hears the intro song for her favorite Caribbean detective show, “Death in Paradise”! Her 3 favoritest things! Touching blue things, peppy intro song and Officer Duane! #herps #lizardsofbluesky #reptiles #geckos

negative · AI labelView post →10 years ago today! I was in Guadeloupe working as a camera operator on "Death in Paradise". Finding your place in a crew is essential. Unfortunately, on this series I didn't. I'm forever grateful for the director bringing me onboard and sad that I needed to bail as soon as I could.

positive · AI labelView post →I have started watching Death in Paradise on BritBox; I think it's one of the coziest, sunniest shows I've ever seen. There's something about a murder show that shows scenes from next week's episode at the end that is reminiscent of watching primetime with my parents as a kid.

neutral · AI labelView post →If you haven't watched 'Death in Paradise' it's a near-endless series of light-hearted murder mysteries in a beautiful location and the minimal amount of other storylines are also nearly always low stakes as well
positive · AI labelView post →They should do a Death in Paradise spinoff where they investigate a Russian suicide every week. At the end of each show the eccentric detective sits down in a hotel lobby with Putin and gives him a far fetched explanation for the death.
neutral · AI labelView post →HOLY SHIT @benstarr.bsky.social was in Death in Paradise. I just totally stopped the show and my wife and I were like. VERSO!
neutral · AI labelView post →This is what happened to Death in Paradise, which was a perfectly fun, likeable detective show. Until they started telling us everything that had happened minutes before, with flashbacks, all through every episoded and it became unwatchable.
negative · AI labelView post →TIL that Officer Dwayne Myers from "Death In Paradise" is also The Cat from "Red Dwarf" and, well, my whole approach to this series has completely changed.

Yes, formula, eccentric London detective gets roped into helping solve case at backwater station filled with "characters". Loved Mac as detective. Good stuff, will watch next episode.

neutral · AI labelView post →Death Valley on BBC one series 1 episode 1. Woeful, utter shite. A kind of Welsh ‘Death in Paradise’ crossed with Midsomer Murders and Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot and falling very short of good drama. Surprised Timothy Spall took the part.
neutral · AI labelView post →I have a love for lighter detective series, such as Father Brown, Death in Paradise, Miss Marple, Poirot, Sister Boniface, The Madame Blanc Mysteries, There is something good about each and every one. You can just go with it and guess along as you go. It's fun and a great escape for an hour or so.

neutral · AI labelView post →Oooh, new Christmas special of Death in Paradise with new lead detective out in the U.S today. My favorite show. Can't wait to watch it tonight with Jude. Dang, so silly happy right now. (I know, it's just a TV show) (still, it's just so great)
positive · AI labelView post →I randomly discovered today that Humphrey Goodman from Death in Paradise and Martha have a spinoff series set in Devon - Beyond Paradise. There is only 1 season (or series) but it was only released earlier this year. I watched the 1st episode and am SO HAPPY. Humphrey is my favorite DI.
positive · AI labelView post →Tonight... we're throwing it back to series 6! Specifically, episodes 5 and 6. Watch along with us on BBC iPlayer, or wherever you usually get your #DeathInParadise episodes.
neutral · AI labelView post →I have a new favorite quote, one which is quite poignant for me. It's from a TV show I've become addicted to thanks to @zoeoeoz.bsky.social called Death in Paradise. "Paradise is very much what you make it. Or more to the point, who you make it with..."
positive · AI labelView post →For a program that is set in the West Indies Death in Paradise is spiritually the whitest TV detective show currently produced.
