Anybody else just buying all the flash games on Steam now? Feels good to actually give the dev money for the games I enjoyed so much for free growing up.

first two games are as classic of flash games as you can get but they are missing the level creator which makes up about half the fun of them and they included the abomonation that is CTCA

Fun games, but this rerelease is just horrible, all they needed to do was repackage the flash games and that's it, but they somehow couldn't even do that. Multiple levels which worked fine in the original, are now broken for some reason, due to broken physics the levels fall apart before you even begin. making them near impossible to gold. And despite having 4 years to fix these basic issues, nothing has been done. Do not support this lazy crap, just play these for free on flashpoint.

I liked it as a kid and like it now; what can I say? If you've got an itch for some flash game nostalgia and you like launching a variety of objects at precariously built castles, then you're at the right place.

It's actually not bad. Apparently Angry Birds was a ripoff of this. Sucks that Angry Birds made all the money. There are two main problems with this though. One is that this doesn't include the level editor that existed in the original, two is that you can play this for free using FlashpointProject. If you want to support the developers that got ripped off by Angry Birds, who stole their idea, fair enough. If you are looking for value for money, or are on a tight budget, this is not a good…

I would only ever recommend getting this if it's on for a decent sale. CTC1 and CTC2 are great games, including the player packs. CTCA, the third game, completely changes the focus of the game from destroying castles to hitting 4 or 5 perfect trick shots in a row which is not a fun gameplay loop.

Several levels are bugged and cannot be completed properly. On Youtube, Devs deny this and say that prioritizing the functionality with every level was their highest priority. Despite this, you can easily find people pointing out that Electric Hammer, Bunker, and the Mummy Chicken level are all broken.

An absolute classic through and through. The fact Angry Birds blew up and this didn't, is sad cause this is 10000000000000x better than Angry Birds. They straight up copies this.

about 15 years ago these three games were basically the best physics-based free browser games you could find. obviously on steam they aren't free anymore but are they still any good? it's pure nostalgia so if you liked crush the castle back then you'll probably still like it now. but if you don't know these games from many moons ago there is actually very little reason to bother now. reason being the jank of days gone is part of the actual experience! the physics part is reeaaally basic and…

First game is enjoyable to some extent, even outside of nostalgia reasons. Second game is barely playable due to insane lag. Third game? third game.... yeah. Third game is just absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the mummy level with the fireball disappearing is just miserable to go through. Less than half of what is offered to the table can me considered a "decent" game so yeah... out of all flash games you could think of to revisit, this collection is one of the worse for sure.

All i can say nostalgic, very fun to play . Overall all Armor games was good quality games . Thats very cool that they made steam compilation of coolest flash games that was there back in the days . What about steamdeck controls, meh 7/10 touchpad or screen . But overall you will play this game with nostalgia and joy if you played this game back in days on web browser. Ps. very cool that armor games added achievements as well .

With the death of Flash, came the inevitable destruction of player made content. I was looking forward to have the ability to create and share levels as we could in the old browser version. Alas that has yet to come, not even a workshop to offset the burden of hosting player levels. Not even a editor to mess around with for fun. Now with modern Flash players and archives of all the original games in this pack, I can not recommend this collection. Even if the physics are the same, the sound is…

Its acually 1:1 game that we all remember from web browser - Wich is good - But there is one change,,, If i remember good people was able to create their own levels and upload them, it seems that Steam version is not connected with Workshop and there is no way to play custom levels easily Unfortunely game is that short, that i've managed to end it 100% under 2h

I really want to recommend this game because it's a huge part of my childhood, and I truly want to thank the dev for bringing it to Steam. However, without the custom castle builder mode, it's just not the same game anymore. For me, creating my own castles just to destroy them was the best part. It's sad that this feature is gone. But the game is still good. The new catapult mode is kinda cool, even if the launch animation feels a bit clunky and isn't very smooth. If you are…

While this game is nostalgic for those who got to play it in-browser from like 20010 to 2018, this game is honestly pretty bad for somebody who is nit-picky, or a completionist. This IS a good game, the concept is good, but the actual execution is pretty bad in my opinion. My biggest grief with the game is it literally comes down to frame clicking. There is not much freedom in where the projectiles actually go, in reality there is probably 20 different flight paths for the projectiles to…

I played a ton of flash games in my childhood and always remembered Crush the Castle as a staple, an undisputed OG of Armor games. But coming back to it via this collection I realized that, damn, those games aren't actually that fun. I had a lot of nostalgia for Crush the Castle 1 and 2. I bought this, it was like a 1.50 dollars during a sale, I had sold CS2 cases so why not right? Bad idea as it turns out. +First game, art style is good, the shots you have are basic but fun. Castles aren't too hard to destroy. +For the second game, its better. I still like the art style, there's lots of more variety in what you're throwing, castles are more interesting sometimes. +In the second games expansion there is a special game…

the third game's been pissing me off to the point where I regret buying the collection as a whole- it just completely changed/ruined the format of the first two games, on top of making SO many levels become "hey can you make these 5 precise shots back to back to back to back to back, with no room for error?". Like, sure, there are two other games in the collection that are great- but they can't make up for how bad the third installment is. I almost want to say to the dev(s) or designer(s) or…

One of the iconic Flash games of its time, if only because the creators of Angry Birds were inspired by Crush the Castle. The game is quite repetitive but not difficult. I can’t recommend Crush the Castle if you didn’t play it back in the days when Flash games ruled, but if you did, it’s worth buying: a great greeting from the past.

A nice nostalgia trip. CTC1 and 2 are both great, but as I'm sure you've read several times in these reviews CTCA is very different and pretty meh in my opinion. 1 and 2 aren't very long although the player packs add a lot of extra content. I probably only played about 10 minutes of CTCA before I switched it off though, so no idea how long that is. While I am recommending this, I do think it's a big shame that seemingly no changes or bugfixes are made. They're not super buggy games, but…

Crush the Castle 2, the game you are probably going to play if you want to buy this, does not include the Castle Builder or the People's Empire. This alone is enough of a reason for you to not buy this. Flashpoint offers more content than this $10 collection can offer, for free. If you're going to port a game to Steam that once had a strong community that built levels for you, you should really think to include them in your collection. Players Packs don't count because they were free too.

This game despite lacking the level creator and having to include CTCA (basically making 100%ing this game impossible due to CTCA being so unfun) is still a masterpiece of a flash game. I still highly recommend the first 2 games along with their respective player packs to anyone.

Crush the Castle Legacy Collection is a bit difficult to review. There are five Flash games in total, three from the main series and two player packs. I enjoyed most of them, but some features (SFX and level editor) are missing from the original. In addition, the number of bugs I had found ruined my experience. Here are my thoughts for each game: Crush the Castle is the first game in the series. It is simple and fun, but slow. Crush the Castle Player Pack introduces medals for each level.…

The first game was very nostalgic. One of my favourite flash games of all time. The second game was good, but it required very specific shots for "puzzle" levels. I got a little tired of using fire to light fuses for bombs that destroy the whole level. Kind of like an auto-level after the first shot. Some were genuinely creative though. I can't really get into the third game, "Crush the Castle Adventure". It's clearly not the same as the first two games. It was a mobile game with a mobile…

First one is kinda awkward, but has heart. Second one is peak, leagues above everything else in its genre, even now. Third one is just Angry Birds. Just flat out Angry Birds, when the second game was already leaving Angry Birds in the dust when it was a contemporary, let alone long after that game came out. Skip it entirely. The gameplay is a joke, and the godawful story is the humorless punchline. It's an insult not only to your intelligence, but to the craft itself.

I'm not saying that the Crush the Castle games are bad at all. Quite the contrary! They're some of my favourite Flash games ever. But... it's a little difficult to recommend a paid set of Flash games when the Flashpoint Archive exists. Obviously, it's super nice to be able to support the developers, but I would be more likely to recommend this if it wasn't just... the Flash games? Especially when the Crush the Castle Player's Pack games... don't have the huge library of user-created levels that…

A nostalgia-baiting compilation which includes all the problems the Flash versions had. The trouble with the first CTC is it features a lot of trial and error in the levels. While the second game largely dispels that tedium, it is rather easy and you'll breeze through the majority of levels on your first try. At least until you get to the player-pack levels and then the trial and error returns with the inaccuracy of the trebuchet causing you major headaches. What's especially irksome is that a…
