positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While most popular Grand Strategy games include more of the world, I like the goal for this one to focus on a specific location - in this case Iberia during the Reconquista. This allows for more detail and local specifics. There are multiple mechanics - managing a council, economy, army, diplomatic interactions, state and law decisions - but none feel overwhelming and I enjoy the population system. The graphics style is unique and at first I was mixed about it but find it enjoyable now. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that was only an idea two years ago, CoH's release is certainly promising for a small studio. While the scale of the game may be limited to 11th century Iberia, CoH takes the best elements of CK, EU and Vicky and implements them well with its own spin on the grand strategy genre. The devs also seems very receptive to feedback from the playtest, And have been honest about what they can and can't implement within their means. The transparency is refreshing when others studios in this…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as a Spanish myself i can assure you that this game is islamiphobix/rascist. Many of the games are based on the opinion of the Spanish reactionnairy and royalist mouvement ( Alt-right). And many things portrayed as a "joke" are real political views for this movement. This type of people are a national shame. They are not that numerous but it is still something to worry about.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game with tons of soul, a tutorial explaining the game mechanics in a short and precise manner. I enjoy the ability to shape your council towards war or peace, either to improve your army to win a war NOW or to focus on improving the economy and technology in order to gain an advantage against your neighbours. The military system is really great, I can improve my army with specialized buildings on the provinces to get a higher quality army, on top of the random merc army of 900 men…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has a good amt of CK influence and I enjoy the mechanics and premise of the game when it comes to choosing a "strategy" before field battles, financing & hiring councilmen, and set in medieval Spain. (lower decal texture btw game still buggy) CIERRA Y SANTIAGO, ESPAÑA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really good game even for an early acess ! My favorite aspect of the game is the art direction ! I really love the aspect of the map and the character design ! Even the icons have great details for their size (you made me laugh hard for the dwarf one) ! I really want to see more of this game and I hope you'll be able to continue working on it !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started probably as a meme and in span of 2 years made it to release. Crown of Hispania is what you can expect from a regional tied strategy in a time it took to develop. Surely it does have cartoonish visuals and all, some occassional lag sometime but overall it's good. Bit more expanded mechanics to your realm unlike brainless build x for gold - build y for army - conquer. Actual population inside countries and provinces with different faiths and cultures. So it does have elements of crusader…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well. It's early early access, not a whole lot to see yet. I'll check in again in a few months and see how it's doing. But absolutely commendable effort, we need more Paradox-inspired games that aren't Paradox if you see what I mean.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better lore than paradox propaganda.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A breath of fresh air in modern times where companies will release buggy untested unfinished soulless messes and then sell them for 70 bucks. Crown of Hispania is a solid game on release, for Early Access, it's actually quite impressive. The core mechanics work well, the game runs smoothly and is optimized. Music is delightful. The visuals, the graphics, art and UI are all quite nice too. Personally, I didn't experience any bugs or crashes while playing on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ potato PC. If you want to…

unlabelledView post →It already has a better UI than Crusader Kings 3, Europa Universalis 5, Rome Total war 2 and Imperator Rome with their black squares and dark gradient which hasn't been good even back when Skyrim did it 20 years ago. Very cool. Very Epic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I believe Crown of Hispania is an absolutely awesome game, especially for a strategy game that comes from a grassroots developer. It has many high-quality features and design elements that you would normally expect to find in a game backed by a much larger publisher, while still retaining the charm and passion that often comes with an independent development team. There is a clear sense that the developers genuinely care about the game they are creating and about the community that has formed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't crash my decent PC on Day 1 which is more than I can say for CK3. Already better than it, more serious review coming pending me having decent time with the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have followed this game since its inception and honestly never expected it to get past the Kickstarter scam phase, but here we are in Early Access. The province and population/demographic systems are, maybe overly, involved, but if you have some basic experience with MAP (uooooh) games, you can jump in, play on Normal, and just enjoy painting the map. There’s plenty of depth already and everything tells there will be more to come. You opressed Sefardim's culture :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very solid early version of the game, looking forward to seeing what this game becomes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game for the fans of grand strategies games. Easy to get into, the tutorial is good enough. Complex enough with lot of options and choices to enjoy differents games and different directions for your country. Ambiance with music is chill and i like the graphism which are unique. Some system could be refined like the battles but the current early version is complete enough to make a full campaign. Very good potential for futur releases. P.S: You can make Crown of Occitania and teach…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been looking to get my hands onto this. It's a smaller scale than what you'd find in Paradox games, coming from a small studio it is pretty ambitious. As far as i've been able to see the dev team have been working to be as transparent to the community as possible, and scaled back their own ambitions in order to provide a product they can do. For the time being the game lacks some polish in visual aspects but it's easily something that they can fix. I'll be looking at what this game…

unlabelledView post →It's a great foundation for a game. It's honestly a throwback to the 2000s era. It has been so nice to follow the development from the first days and seeing it put on Steam, I hope to see the game grow into itself. I can feel the care put into the game and it's the first major game coming from this tiny studio. For an early access it feels more complete than some releases, it has all the major functionalities working, the economic and pop development and growth, the war and court management.…
