I've always likes these types of games. The one thing I don't like about it is: Whether you're paving, or pouring gravel or or cement, and you're nearing the completion of the job, you don't get to finish the job. The game finishes it. This is a simulator-life type of game. YOU should be able to complete the sections NOT the game.

This might have been a good game in 2022, but outside of the bargain bin I can't really recommend this. If you want to dive big trucks, Euro Truck Sim or American Truck Sim are right there and are still getting regular updates. If you want to operate cranes, Snowrunner and it's franchise handle that far better and are of the same vintage. If you have a controller and are getting this game for dirt cheap? OK sure, maybe. The crane / boom arm controls aren't that intuative on K+M and the…

After 10 hours you have every piece of equipment you need and the game starts feeling incredibly repetetive. "Job scope" is just how much of your time you want to waste digging a foundation and concreting.

terrible controls, junky physics that don't make sense, horrible camera movement that makes you feel like your in Roblox, to many cutscenes and a broken ass tutorial that brakes every time I get to the 3rd mission. Not even worth the discount or sale its on.

As an actual Construction Worker and Operator of such equipment i must say that this is bad the Controlls of the equipment is really bad and way to sensitiv. If you are Looking for a for a Game that immitates Construction this would be way to tedious and if you want a realistic simulator then this is way to bad of a simulator for that.

So, just to be clear, a big part of my disappointment with this game comes from me misunderstanding what it's about, but I still think what it's actually about is just not fun. I bought this game because when I saw that it was called "Construction Simulator" I thought it'd mostly focus on active Construction. Like Bricklaying, Frame Assembling, Painting, Installation. that sort of stuff. Maybe even designing homes yourself eventually. But in reality, a more accurate name for this game would be…

I've been hacking at this game from its beginning. As usual, there's always a bit of a learning curve, especially since I'm using an Xbox One controller as well as the mouse to accomplish certain tasks. I'm 72 going on 40 and my grand-kids run circles around me when they play ANY type of games, including this one. I really like this one even with the few glitches I came across, i.e. using the controller left and right switches are very sensitive when choosing features by pressing the X button,…

It's mostly cranes, cementing, and pushing dirt around. To be fair, it's some of the best dirt manipulation I've ever seen in a video game, but the rest of the game feels empty. There are no consequences to swinging items around too fast on the crane, there is no sandbox option, no hand tools only heavy machinery. The speed of the crane will make you question your life choices. Which kinda sucks because it's all basically cranes and driving. Filling up the dump truck every two feet will also…

It's a mostly fun game that was executed poorly. It feels like it was made with minimal effort and/or budget. A lot of the frustrating things should be easy to fix for any competent developer but this game has barely changed since I bought it two years ago. I could dig holes in the ground with an excavator all day. But, any fun I have is almost always interrupted by COMPLETLY AVOIDABLE STUPID CRAP. Here's a couple of examples of said "COMPLETLY AVOIDABLE STUPID CRAP." 1. AI Traffic.…

I have close to 30 hours in Construction Simulator so far, and when I play a simulator, I’m looking for something challenging and unforgiving. I enjoy games that don’t hold your hand and actually make you deal with the consequences of your actions. I know no game is perfect, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be improved, no matter how good or bad it already is. First, what I like about the game. The graphics look great, and I appreciate that it isn’t extremely demanding, so it runs well even on…

I've enjoyed playing this game quite a bit, but it's a little bit hard for me to recommend. This game will hold your hand to a very large degree which makes it feel like you make very few decisions. This is a great game if you really just need something where you can turn your brain off and actively want something boring (like me!). Outside of that, I think most people will grow bored in a few hours.

Where do I begin? I think that the game sucks, to be honest. Years ago I played the Pocket Edition 2014 CS on mobile, and back then I really, really enjoyed it (it was the free demo). Now, when I finally remembered that it was on PC, I wanted to check it out! And to my surprise, it’s absolutely garbage. I mean, it has A LOT of potential if the devs would stop bringing the old phone games to Steam and just focus on this game. The game has tons of content and DLC. The equipment you can buy…

I love this game and would recommend it to anybody and everybody. Graphics are wonderful, there are lots of challenges in learning how to run different types of equipment to get the job done right but it's a lot of fun. My only complaint is running and steering tracked vehicles with the numpad. They have Reverse as number two on a numpad and I think it should be number 5 which would give you the same type of steering as AWSD. Game itself is fine, the reason i do not endorse it and have uninstalled it is because it's plagued with the same terrible experience when driving with a gamepad as FS25. I do not undertstand why it is so hard to make it so that it is driveable even when using a controller, instead the wheels turns so fast that it is basically that same as driving with the keyboard. ATS and ETS2 IS driveable with gamepad so i KNOW it is possible. If they get that sorted i will reinstall AND get ALL the DLC…

While premise if fun, the game doesn't feel fun. It's heavily monotonous(I work in construction, and somehow the game that is supposed to entertain me is more boring than my job) and too casual. You have to do a lot of repetitive work, and at the same time you don't really need to do it good. Have to unload some materials? Just drop them at high speed by pressing space at the right time, game allows you to do it. Need to dig a few trenches? Bulldoze half the construction site out of existence,…

Y'know when you were a kid and you had those construction toys and you'd spend hours in the sandbox digging holes, moving dirt and what not? That is the VERY essence of this game. It can be tedious at times, like paving, but the parts where you're digging and using the cranes is just like being a kid again, sitting in that sandbox digging holes.

I have to admit, I really like this game! It's exactly what you would expect, and it can be a lot of fun. I've been playing this game since release, and while it definitely needed some polishing in the beginning, the developers have fixed a lot over the years and turned it into a really fun and stable experience. The game does have some funny bugs from time to time, but in most cases they're easy to fix because the developers included some great reset and teleport options if you ever get…

Dont be scared away by all the negative comments, this game is very fun, detailed, and realistic. I expected something like Farming Sim. That is not the case at all, you can tell the devs tried their best to make this game realistic and in-depth. Is the camera system annoying at times? Yes, can things be improved? there are two types of activities, either "play around with voxel dirt" or "move things in 3d space with a crane / arm". There is zero sandbox, you get a strictly defined list of actions you need do in the contract and you just do them in order and move to the next near identical contract.

Cool game. It tries hard to be an immersive simulator and achieves just that most of the time. Obviously getting into a game like this you should expect taking your time in order to learn and complete the tasks. Some of them are supposed to be tedious because that is so in real life. Tried returning to Construction Simulator 22 after not playing since launch. Unfortunately, the same issues remain for me: Controls: imprecise and unintuitive. Camera: frequently behaves unpredictably. Performance: consistent microstutters every second on a 5070 Ti / 64 GB / Ryzen 9 / M.2 setup. Given how long it’s been out, it’s disappointing. It looks like energy went into license-driven DLC rather than making the core game feel good to play.

By far the best construction sim on the market at the moment. It has licensed brands, a good economy, and fairly solid digging physics—only really rivalled by Out of Ore. The blend of machinery works well. However, it lacks the manual-labour side that it could really benefit from. However, the game weighs only 12.5 GB, which is nothing by today's standards, but an optional 4K DLC would have been nice. Other downsides include the controls and the way the heavy vehicles feel...or rather, the lack of feel due to the vehicles' sheer weight.
