positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 A surprisingly good puzzle platformer about managing your super abilities. What is it: A platformer with a lot of smart puzzles. The goal is to collect 3 orbs, which unlock the door to the exit. But sometimes these orbs are higher or farther than you can jump, or in a room with no doors, or behind a trapdoor that needs to be kept open. Lucky for you, you can get access to super abilities by defeating colorful bosses: blue for double jumps, yellow for dash, red for shooting fireballs,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Start simple, become pretty challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fine for the price but has many small issues. Boss levels have huge spikes in difficulty, the game turns from casual puzzle into hardcore platformer. Navigating menus with keyboard is basically impossible because escape button does nothing so there's no way to exit a menu without using a controller. Does not accept input from multiple controllers, so if I'm playing via RemotePlay in another place/device then I need to go and unplug first controller (and restart everything) in order for second…

Worth the price. Colored Effects - Full gameplay - All achievements / trophy - https://youtu.be/eyoW_cGCZiE
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful puzzle platform with great level design, art and sound effects. The abilities are unlocked progressively and make for very interesting mechanics, and require some thinking outside the box - just the right amount of puzzling and platforming to make the experience challenging and fun. Haven't fully finished the game yet as I'm temporarily stuck on one of the later levels, I'll update when I'm done ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple and chill. Creative knots to untangle, with a small handful of devilish ones. There are just enough levels to take each element for a spin. Give it a look!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle game that actually makes you think! I tried the demo of this game when it was available a few months ago and was expecting yet another disappointing puzzle game that allowed you to brute-force, stumble into, or otherwise improvise your way to a solution that the developer(s) never intended. Within the first half hour of the demo, I was quite surprised to see how well designed the levels were! It became immediately clear to me that Colored Effects was being made by someone who put a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colored Effects is a really clever puzzle game! I got about halfway through and then my brain needed a break, but I'll def be back next stream with it. Would def recommend so far! It's on sale for $2.99 USD for the Steam Winter sale rn! store.steampowered.com/app/1892570/...

unlabelledView post →At first glance, this game seems really simple… and yeah! Some aspects are simple. The bosses have pretty obvious and slow attacks, making them quite easy, and the early puzzles are also pretty straightforward. However, as you progress, puzzles start to take more and more time to solve. The game really makes you think, and often, when you finally solve a puzzle, it feels obvious in hindsight, but getting there takes quite a few tries... a LOT of tries in my case xD. My only gripe with the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And the Godot indie crave just keeps on giving. Indeed, this puzzle platformer game centered around swapping colors in order to get from point A to point B by displaying various effects is not as simple as you might expect from this description. There are a fair number of tricky scenarios and red herrings that will probably make you ponder for a few minutes as you attempt to solve them in one way or another. Plus, the game has boss fights and these are no laughing matter either. The combine…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good Puzzle game, where you try to figure out puzzles and fight bosses, I definitely recommend this game to people who like puzzles!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little puzzle game! Level design is great and some levels are challenging. Got stuck on 17 and specially 30. On 37, we came with a weird solution... Yes, I played with my 13-year old son. It is about colors but not as in Hue. In fact, we enjoyed it more than Hue... ...that is by far much more popular. It is a small gem crafted with Godot Engine! Buy it if you are into puzzle games. You will enjoy it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun puzzle game that does a good job of making very unique levels. There's just the right amount of power ups and levels that you get to see a lot of different level ideas, but it never becomes tedious either. At 5 dollars, it's well worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very unique game worth more than it s price. Very good for those seeking good puzzles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a huge puzzle game/ platformer fan this is the perfect game for you Colored Effects made me use my brain and scratch my head for hours on some levels before getting that aha moment. Knowing that the game is made by one person makes me appreciate the game even more! I really recommend !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a first effort, this is extremely well made, and well worth the price. A great visual style and the player's abilities allowing for creative and varied puzzles make the game a very fun time. At least until level 21. In my opinion, the game should have just stopped at level 20, because afterwards there are quite a few problems. ~All of the main mechanics get introduced in the first 20 levels, meaning that afterwards the levels tend to feel repetitive. ~Levels begin to rely on trial…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple yet extremely fun. struggled with 3 stages but overall great plataform puzzle game. Had a great time! Would like to see more stages or maybe a level creator? Keep it up the great work! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. Puzzles are super interesting to solve. I really enjoyed the game. GG to the devs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool puzzle game unique bosses
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun and challenging platform puzzler, I got stuck a bunch of times but more because of timing and I suck at timing lol The boss fights are the worst but in the best way but overall a wonderful cute little game that I enjoyed a lot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat idea, and most puzzles are good. However, a few puzzles rely on excessively precise timing and positioning, and a few more are a softlock party even with the mid-level manual save system (which in at least one occasion bugs out to troll you even harder, looking at you level 30). Still fun if you can handle the occasional frustrating level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing for a bit over an hour and I love this game so far. I'm up the purple boss, so I'm not sure how much I have left to go but I've had a great time so far. Controls are responsive, graphics are smooth, fun, and, appropriate. Music is fun. I'd definitely recommend for anyone who just wants to relax with a puzzle type game with occasional boss fights. I'm looking forward the rest of the game, but ever know, I've been very pleased with this game. 10/10 from me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fair platform-based puzzles, not the smartest ones but still enjoyable, and I love the boss fights as most of them are quite interesting. A few things that the game could fix to make it better tho: -The savepoint function in level 30 is malfunctioning that it does not save the correct location of the crates (e.g. saving the state when crates are above the gate while loading it would make them all appearing under the gates) -The difficulty does not vary as you play the latter levels, not a big…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colored Effects (Steam Deck, 6 hours): Too many steps per puzzle, and the game's design softlocks you constantly, forcing you to restart over and over. Some solutions—I wasn't sure they were intended. Left me with a persisting anger. My least favorite puzzle game ever. I liked the boss battles.
unlabelledView post →Wonderful puzzle game. Good on the developers for throwing in some action bits as well!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every level in this game is great (except the last, but I just don't like boss levels)! Absolutely loved playing it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and interesting game, if you like to solve puzzles then this game is definetely for you, highly recommend to anyone who wants to take a break, and solve some challenging out of the box puzzles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty tough puzzle platformer with nice visuals and polish. The puzzles are quite complex and interesting to solve, but often require mechanics not formally introduced by the game which could alienate some players. If you're going to play it, pay close attention to how things interact and experiment with the mechanics. Some of the bosses are a bit repetitive/slow, but still decent fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colored Effects was a fun and unique experience throughout it's 40 levels of game play. It has it's share of flaws but overall was an enjoyable experience. For my full review please go here: https://youtu.be/Sicy0Z8Lpz0?si=JBNCUzjWzT9_tx2v
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really puts the puzzle in puzzle-platformer. It is pretty awesome. There are some real head-scratchers here. The game is extremely well thought out and the developers could not have paid more attention to detail. I had to resort to the guide for several of the levels because they stumped the ol' noggin. The game is challenging to a fault. I gave up after a while because my head hurt. This game is perfect for geniuses and gluttons for punishment alike. Good luck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game's not for me. I'm not a huge fan of puzzle platformers, but I received a free key and here I am. I do think the game looks great, with some great music(boss music for the win). The puzzles are even mostly very well done. I played up to level 17, which seems to be close to half-way. I got stuck. I got tired of being stuck. I've played long enough to think the game is good, but I'd really only recommend it to people who like platformers with a heavy focus on puzzles that can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I originally played the demo awhile back and was intrigued by it's puzzle elements using colour and its unique visual design. I really enjoy puzzle games, especially Indie ones and this doesn't disappoint. One of the best value for money puzzle games out there! It feels very unique in the fact that puzzles aren't used again and again, new elements are added but aren't frustrating to master. Overall one of my favourite cozy Indie games and no bugs or glitches. Great game and thoroughly recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game, worth more than I paid for it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good puzzle-platform game, that is very well game designed. The difficulty is increasing in good proportion through levels. The bosses are well designed too and use the colors to defeat them in a good way. I have not finished the game yet (stuck on a level ;)).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colored Effects is on sale. This game is AMAZING. A creative puzzle platformer where turning different colors grants different special abilities. Solve brilliantly designed puzzles and face puzzling bosses.

Really could use a rewind feature, though: Got stuck on multiple occasions and had to restart the entire level. Highly recommended still! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1892570/Colored_Effects/
