Anyone who’s truly into horror should check it out. It’s unlike anything else you’ve seen and only 75 minutes! #horror #horrorfilm #movie

Proves right my decade-old book’s main idea. In Vix.

We watched it with no context and immediately after learned of the real life atrocities this film alludes to at Colonia Dignidad.

Its inspired by the real life story of Colonia Dignidad (look it up if u are in the mood for one of those wiki reads that get crazier and crazier), and animated almost like a pop-up storybook. Very haunting.
unlabelledView post →In my mind, the best animated horror film out right now has to be 2018’s The Wolf House (La Casa Lobo). Based on the history of Colonia Dignidad, a Nazi German sect in Chile helmed by Paul Schäfer, presented as a fairy tail propaganda film from the leaders.

An utterly unsettling film that is a brilliant work of stop motion. the (fictional) framing of it as a propaganda film by Colonia Dignidad adds such a horrifying element to it, especially when the film was made in Chile not long after the cult finally started facing

She is harassed by a wolf while she tries to eke out a living with two pigs. You have to see this for the sheer creativity of it.

But even before that I liked it very much. The film was very edgy, I have not seen such film in a quite long time. It feels like a familiar theme, but that is only the theme, the story was marginally different. Emma Watson was amazing, maybe this her best performance I have seen so far in her career. Daniel Bruhl was not bad either and so other co-stars.…
