A Tale of Two Sisters This another movie I recommend a lot, but for good reason, it is positively nerve-wracking. A young girl comes home from being institutionalized, and is ill at ease with her father's new wife, the sense of tension builds even before anything creepy happens is second to none.

Asked on stream if do movie recommendation threads, and I sure do! It's been a while though, and I've often done them for horror movies around Halloween time. But check out I Saw The Devil if you want a good bad time, South Korean revenge thriller from the same director as A Tale Of Two Sisters.

Everyone should go watch The Quiet Family It's director Kim Jee-woon's (A Tale of Two Sisters, I Saw The Devil) first film, a dark comedy about a family who open a countryside guesthouse and when their first guest commits suicide, worried it'll ruin their reputation, decide to hide the body.

Good example of this, Kim Jee-woon Phenomenal director, made some of the best movies of all time in my humble opinion, like for example A Tale of Two Sisters and I Saw The Devil, a top tier talent, and they had him direct the 2013 Schwarzenegger movie The Last Stand, which was okay, it was fine.

Starting my 2025 horror movie thread with A Tale of Two Sisters, in which the titular characters reunite in their widower father’s country home, unraveling the family’s secrets and psyches. Utterly threatening experience, the ending sent me reeling. Tops many all-time great lists for good reason!
