We're getting more slop than ever from Netflix because of the push for second screen entertainment but a lot of cable TV and movies were made the same way. A Christmas Story was meant to be ambient radiation on Christmas eve
unlabelledView post →I first encountered this when the Chapo guys went after a YouTube movie review guy I liked. Truly shitty behavior.
unlabelledView post →Had a hilariously good time talking to my old friends Will & Felix about the godawful Ben Shapiro movie/racist diatribe Run Hide Fight: Infidels on Chapo. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/c...
unlabelledView post →The end of year “best podcast” lists are usually 0-10 for me. I just want to listen to dudes hanging out and occasionally history pods. 2023 favs: Chapo (and side projects like Movie Mindset), Junk Filter w @jessehawken.bsky.social, Who? Weekly, Bizarre Albums, Age of Napoleon, WTF, Stavvy’s World
unlabelledView post →Listening to the recent Chapo on that reactionary Uwe Boll movie. God do I love when incurious people make art. "what would make someone decide to go out and commit murders of people he hates?" and the artist looks at you blankly and goes, "because he's right? Duh?? Are you fucking stupid??"
unlabelledView post →My colleague @lukewsavage.bsky.social and I will be hosting the star-studded post-film discussion at the Toronto screening of the Chapo Trap House production CHUNKS. September 1. Come one come all: paradiseonbloor.com/movies/chunk...
unlabelledView post →Lol didn't Chapo do an episode about this film
unlabelledView post →There's a film on Netflix about (El Chapo) Guzman's third arrest in 2016. If reality is even close to what is portrayed in that film, then holy crap! Those federales deserve a lot of respect. So many in their positions over the years have just taken the money. Those guys dealt with intense pressure.
unlabelledView post →It's weird to see the definition of chud change so much through complete dissolution over the past few years Used to just be something we called right wingers because of this movie (I think it was Chapo trap house that's started it, I never listened so I'm not sure)
unlabelledView post →Chapo did a great episode on this movie. It’s funny how the villains believe all the same things the average Daily Wire reader believes, to the point that one of the DW’s staff jokes about how despite a character’s desire to murder queer people, the movie also shows bad things they believe.
unlabelledView post →The beginning and end of me learning about that sound of freedom movie is the latest Chapo ep where Matt Christman brings up that the movie has a white hat pedophile helping the squad
unlabelledView post →Sneak peak at scenes from the Chapo movie
unlabelledView post →HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS director Mike Cheslik's appearance on Chapo Movie Mindset is one of the best director interviews in recent memory. Incredible at explaining things about his process succinctly, self-deprecating but without false modesty, just A Guy who made A Great Movie. Give it a listen:
unlabelledView post →I do find it bizarre that someone who made their name on a podcast called "Cumtown" is now a respectable movie star. Makes me wonder if @mugrimm.bsky.social's hypothesis that putting one of the Chapo guys on CNN at the ten o'clock slot is possible.
unlabelledView post →They were discussing the Reagan movie on Chapo this week and I agree with the premise that a lot of people doing these inexplicable hollywood gigs have immense gambling debts or hit one of the Illuminati's grandkids drunkenly leaving a party lol
unlabelledView post →This panic about Young Men has been ongoing since forever. Before Clav it was Andrew Tate, 6ix9ine, the Joker movie, Chapo Trap House, Gamergate, MRAs, Xbox lobbies, violent video games, Eminem, anime, internet porn, gangsta rap, Mortal Kombat, dirty rap, arcade games, crack babies, etc etc etc
unlabelledView post →Left out Brihana Joy Gray, Nina Turner, David Sirota and the Chapo Trap House that ran nasty porn attacks on Pete Buttigieg. (the Caligula film in 2020). It was before Musk bought Twitter. Chapo Trap House is the left version of Rogan and is nasty as any RW homophobic Christian group.
unlabelledView post →It's time to make a confession. For years I thought when people were talking about Chapo they were talking about the movie (That's) Chappie.
unlabelledView post →Enjoy his fake Pixar movie song courtesy of Chapo Trap House youtu.be/-w-Rrk-Q7-k?...
unlabelledView post →I just watched that insane Black Easter: Assassination 33AD movie they made fun of on Chapo. Great experience. Happy Easter
unlabelledView post →Financed by the Chapo production company that did that baseball movie
unlabelledView post →yoooooooo it's ya boy @johnsemley3000.bsky.social spreading the Clint/Siegel gospel on Chapo's latest Movie Mindset (The Beguiled and Escape from Alcatraz) www.patreon.com/posts/131715...
unlabelledView post →I can’t believe Chapo Trap House, which makes only $181k/month and just produced a feature film, was cancelled by libs.
unlabelledView post →Like Chapo is only a thing because of the Benghazi movie.
unlabelledView post →I mean, it's all there in that speech you excerpted that Jeremy Bohring gives to his daughter in Lady Ballers: women are worse than men at everything and can redeem themselves only through childrearing. I disagree with Chapo on lots, but they were right when they said that movie _despises_ women.
unlabelledView post →Chapo conduit aside, it’s a good reference and I’m glad the film continues to remain alive in the minds of the masses
unlabelledView post →There was an episode of the Best Show with some of the Chapo guys that was a list of the Top 50 Worst movie characters. Lars Ulrich “won” twice for Some Kind of Monster and Get Him to the Greek.
unlabelledView post →The Chapo Movie Mindset episode about “Audition” is so good that it almost makes me want to rewatch that movie. An absolute masterpiece that I never want to see again.
unlabelledView post →Tbf, I'm getting a sub for Chapo entirely for the Metal Gear Solid and movie talk
unlabelledView post →Any swap meet in the Southwest will sell the movie poster and/or a painting with Scarface, El Chapo, Tony Soprano, Vito Corleone as the heads of organized crime families. #hatm #Scarface
unlabelledView post →I listened to the Chapo review of Lady Ballers the gross Daily Wire movie about this, and the thing that sticks out is how none of this outrage is really about trans people at all, its rooted primarily in misogyny.
unlabelledView post →Chapo doing avatar was when I split. Does every podcast eventually just become a movie review thing?
unlabelledView post →Yeah. Quoting the Chapo book here but after Trump's shocking win, liberals mainlined downers, sat in an ice bath for sixteen hours, and watched every Bond movie back to back, then came out gibbering about russian disinformation and pee tapes. It is anything but their own lack of appeal.
unlabelledView post →"Right wingers have to pretend they like an Uwe Boll movie" is not a thing I was expecting for 2026, but it isn't that surprising either. Made for a great Chapo episode, too!
unlabelledView post →Same vibe of when film Robert saw that widow trailer with Red Guardian and when he looked like Matt Christman he said oh Disney is aware of Chapo and responding to it, because they're my friend
unlabelledView post →The Chapo guys made the point that Alfred Molina's single scene in Boogie Nights was an essential, load bearing part of the film. I think they may be right.
unlabelledView post →Chapo talking about a Seagal film tonight "The Glimmer Man." Finally a movie mindset episode I actually give a shit about.
unlabelledView post →I haven't agreed with a lot of the Chapo guys' film takes, so that makes sense lol I certainly don't begrudge people to like what they like and I'm definitely checking that pod out, never heard of it. Thank you for the rec!
unlabelledView post →It’s also bad that there isn’t a more popular left figurehead to take up the mantle after Chapo decided to quit and do boring movie bullshit
unlabelledView post →I think it was one of the Chapo guys who (jokingly) said that every Scorsese movie is about cool guys hanging out.
unlabelledView post →the Chapo episode on this movie was one of the funniest podcasts I've ever listened to
unlabelledView post →Allowing myself the joy of remembering the time Amber from Chapo claimed that Alamo Drafthouse is racist because they set the expectation that it's rude to talk during a movie. A few months later she would be appearing on Red Scare.
unlabelledView post →have either of you seen 100s OF BEAVERS? the director Mike Cheslik went on Chapo and one of his explanations for making a DIY film look better than it is really stuck with me: If a shot is good make it a wee bit worse, if a shot is bad make it a wee bit better, and they'll meet in the middle
unlabelledView post →I think it's only done by the Chapo wing. Who probably do think that movie villains are role models - they like posting like Sephiroth.
unlabelledView post →🎶El Chapo will choppppp you up He gonna chop you uppppp Chop you uppp🎶 (If you seen the movie Stay Tuned 1992, then you know what song i speak of)
unlabelledView post →Least favorite Chapo episodes: in depth interviews with labor organizers, journalist Most favorite Chapo episodes: discussion of a movie I am never ever going to watch
unlabelledView post →With all due respect to Chapo, the third Run, Hide, Fight movie would surely be Ms Rachel, AOC, and Ilhan Omar killing children, and only the based Cosa Nostra can stop them.
unlabelledView post →As much as I depsise Chapo their episode on the original Avatar movie remains some of the best radio I have ever heard
unlabelledView post →Just watched ‘Facing El Chapo’ (2026) on Netflix recommended by my colleague at work. Based on a true story. A mexican film regarding the recapture of Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman. Also worth watching for Alfonso Herrera. @netflix.com #Netflix #FacingElChapo #AlfonsoHerrera #FilmRecommendation

unlabelledView post →as for the question of Aster’s politics, it’s worth noting that he did do an interview for Movie Mindset, the Chapo Trap House side-pod with Will Menaker and Hesse Deni.
unlabelledView post →The context regarding both the movie and Chapo Trap House definitely helps AND makes sense, thank you! Anything I see these days is moreso leaning towards a term of endearment, like reclaiming it FROM the left and it's just tiring.
unlabelledView post →Cheslik was talking abt the movie on Chapo and he was describing how in postproduction if a given shot didn't look good, the goal was to try and make it look better; but if a shot looked *too* good, you had to make it look a little worse, and ideally it would all meet in the middle. born filmmaker!
unlabelledView post →EXACTLY THOM I DONT mind BILLIONAIRES that actually worked & earned their money . Like Taylor Swift & KELCE , Snoop , Actors , musicians , movie makers . Athletes . Entertainment . NOT EL CHAPO , SILK ROAD , Inherited , A politician , A JUDGE , etc .
unlabelledView post →At least we'll get a somewhat decent Movie Madness episode of Chapo out of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
unlabelledView post →once known now forgotten Gen X movie references are load-bearing for Chapo
unlabelledView post →1/2 I watched "How to Blow Up a Pipeline" and then listened to the Chapo Trap House interview with the creative team behind the film with a friend last night. It's a pretty good movie that exemplifies how material interest can bring people together from all walks of life to fight for the same goal.
unlabelledView post →Red Letter Media proves that riffing on a movie can be longer than the movie and still good. Types of talk show podcasts: 1. comedians riffing on movie/book/current events (HDTGM, Chapo) 2. Host reading a script with reactions from guest (Behind the Bastards) 3. Lone host reading script (YMRT)
unlabelledView post →I paid full price for Disco Elysium in 2020 so I am extremely loath to devote any more money to the Chapo Trap House Cinematic Universe for a few more decades to come, but I have heard enough Film Knowers say glowing things about Eephus that I might just have to suck it up.
