48 of 48 · most liked firstThe game is firmly "meh". - It's pretty, following Blizzard's art style; - It tries to be funny, but isn't; - The gameplay is not overly engaging, nor exciting; - The missions quickly feel repetative; - The skill trees are not inspiring. They don't add much to the repetative combat; - The upgrades are all about enabling more upgrades, not changing the game play.

For me the major flaw of the game is the horrible level design. For example: There is a Map in which you have to destroy a strong enemy before he reaches his goal. While this is happening you get attacked by a group of 3 mobs. As soon as the last of the 3 mobs dies, a new group spawns. So after you realized that you just keep one of them alive. Another example would be a map…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having only played for two hours my review will be based on the initial impressions of the game. So far it has managed to capture my childish spirit, the game does not take itself seriously and has a somewhat shallow humoristic cover attached. Some will like it, som won´t. The game itself is a bland of RPG mixed with a bit of city building and some RTS elements, you control 3 characters from a top down view and like in Arklash Legacy they have skills to suplement one another. Sometimes you get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just didnt do it for me sadly. I love these types of games but this one just didnt feel good to me. I enjoy city building and rpg games, so I gave this a shot. The combat in this one just feels kind of clunky. Often I would miss skill shots because my characters would freeze for a second before using them and the enemy would just straight up move out of the way of it. Now I dont mean that I 100% didnt hit anything, but it made it hard to hit multiple enemies at once because of this. Enemies…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun but pre-release and for the first few patches Ubisoft was very communicative about future content plans as well as support for Ultrawide displays coming in the September patch. They never followed through with the 21:9 support and the last patch was in Oct. They've also removed many of the posts from Ubi employees discussing these topics. It really seems they've pulled the plug on future support despite saying otherwise at release.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plenty of descriptions already on here, so I'll say what I like and don't like about the game. Ups: There's a decent amount of Strategy in the different ways you can build your town, how you conquer territories, your research path and what abilities you give your heroes. That should make for some replayability. The missions are interesting tactically because you have to choose 3 heroes from 5, decide how to approach the map and what/when hero abilities and consumables get used. I like the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/8 for the voice acting of the dude... gameplay is slow and gets boring extremely fast, in fact there is not much you have to do, it feels like a game designed for mobile that was poorly ported to PC. Town building is this game's strongest point, but unfortunately that doesn't mean much as it's below mediocre. One element that could have saved the game was the humour, which worked for their previous title Epic Quest for Mighty Loot... but in this case most of the jokes are flat and someone…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game but I just can't. The whole game feels like a phone/tablet port. The combat is slow, all you really do is select a hero and match elements to do the most damage and let them swing/shoot away. Never got some of the heroes skills to work at all. The town building is all right. The voice acting is bad, and the jokes are even worse. The grahics are nothing special either.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An interesting mix of RPG and RTS. This game had potential, but became boring really quick. I like the city building/management aspect of the game, but the part where you enter zones and fight with your heroes is really lame and repeating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a charming mix of RTS, MOBA style heroes, RPG character development and some limited city building. Could be deeper, but it's accessable and quick to learn. The mix of 5 heroes when you can only bring 3 to a mission combined with the craftable turrets and potions make strategic choices on mission loadouts important. Oh, and heroes can only pick 4 of up to 10 skills in their loadout -- another strategic element. I like it and recommend the game -- pick it up for sure if it goes on sale.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Champions of Anteria is a sort of hybrid of genres involving real-time combat (sort of) and "puzzle"-based base building outside of combat. Pros: The puzzle-based nature of the base building was amusing. Combat was OK. I like the ability to choose which battles I will do. Upgrade paths for characters were OK, if uninspired. Cons: Uplay Game was way too long. By the end, I was begging for it to end. Mechanisms had become way too repetitive by end-game. Story was meh. If you try to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially I enjoyed it. Gets repetitive very quickly. Last boss fight is a bit ridiculous using some unknown "crystal" element (guess all that so called element strategy prep in the game gets chucked). You can only carry so many potions / healing and you cannot escape some of the attacks (very high dmg - like 1500+) so it goes from a fairly enjoyable / repetitive game to one that is frustrating that I will not finish - playing the last level is like scraping your face against shards of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greetings Everyone! First of all I want to say I enjoyed this game and just recently finished the game on Normal Difficulty. Overall it is an enjoyable game that has some minor flaws and infrequent crashes. The game is comprised of three major genres: City Building, Fiction and Tactical RPG. Fiction: Largely forgettable, it tries to be funny and in some parts it is but largely it is eye rolling and simplistic fiction. I almost feel this was intention as a pun towards other RPGs but we…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only works with UPlay and if you can't get on the game won't load. Screw UPlay. Get it off all Steam games since it causes nothing but frustrations and makes it impossible to play any their games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →note: i recommend this game... however not for the price it currently has. read below for more information. I like this game. However 30 euros (the current price) is simply too expensive for what you get. Get this game on a sale for about 15 to 20 euros. That would be a reasonable price. Overall i enjoyed the game though. I wished you could do more with your town.. perhaps have a little more gear choice... more abilities/heroes..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the visual art style, and the characters are entertaining enough. However, the games controls are by far some of the worst ive seen in a game like this. For example, using the left mouse to scroll the camera AND move your characters is just a huge brain fart design decision. Gameplay wise, the game feels like an enhanced mobile game. (not the graphics, the actual gameplay). Battle scenarios are basically "Explore a narrow path with invisible walls fighting a preset group of enemies."…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great, Another game from "uplay" that never works! I have gettting a collection of them and none of them work. It should be called "u-won't play" uplay = won't work = waste of money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crash to desktop, never got it to run. Steam gave me a refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs Uplay to actually play the game. Looked cool, but I can't stand U-play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awesome game, with elements of RPG and an strategy map similar to the one we had in Rise of Nations, but with different kind of missions. I enjoyed it very much and I am sure I am going to play a lot more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sounded like a cute game. got real repetitive after a while.. even on the easy setting you just start losing land. I uninstalled.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Preordered it, because I have been wanting a game like this for a long time... Then came the battles... they got old very quick. If you don't mind slow repetitive fighting then this is the game for you. Unfortunately, it is not for me. -1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amazingly addictive game! I really enjoyed playing it and have no doubt you will enjoy it too. Lots of funny dialogues. Fun soundtrack that always play the right music for the right moment. Game can be played with complete relaxation and enjoyment or in a challenging way - depending on how you choose to play. RPG style potions, magics, unique powers for each champions and completely different kinds of locations and enemies makes the game one of a kind. There's a huge skill tree…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor ai. it just ruins the fun of the game play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is charming in its own way, but the humor is too cartoony for me. The combat is also very bland. After the first couple of times going through, you will find yourself bored but trying to force some fun out of it. I returned the game before it was too late, thank god I played the demo. If you are looking for a city building game or an RPG, this one is a very weak version of both.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awfull game. The mix of genre seemed good at first, but it feels terrible in the end, especially the combat. It leaves me the sour taste of wasted money. Don't make the same mistake as I did.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried this game so far only for 4 hours, passed the tutorial and started expanding my village and in nearby territories and from my first impression I would recommend this game. As the description goes it's an action game with a big component of strategy and character building. Therefore it's a mixture of different genres, but does it excel in all those? No, absolutely not. Does it mix them nicely? I believe so, so let’s analyze the different components of this game: You have a group of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little RTS and RPG mix. Feels a bit like the Warcraft 3 heroes only story missions. Having fun so far. For 30 Euros nothing to complain (yet).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it. The building part has a learning curve which makes me want to start over and play again. The combat is kind of meh for me. There is some strategy, the elements are very important. For the most part, I struggle to click my targets and AI runs the enemy and your guys around in circles far too often. There's a nice variety of missions, although some of them take a few tries before it's clear what you are supposed to do. The upgrade system is quite good and DOES change my play style…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a disgrace to it's predecesors. They tried to do something new that everyone else already have done and in spite of all this they still managed to do a worse job of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I nice and fun game. Not terribly complex and the "city management" portion was pretty basic, but overall it was enjoyable for the first playthrough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are realy better games out there, the mechanics appear very repetative (Rating: 2/5)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →не рыба не мясо
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game with an amazingly blended RPG/RTS/Village Builder combination for the win. Only two cons I can see are the maps can get a bit repeatative and if your playing it through Steam you have to have Ubisoft UPlay (Ubisoft's version of the Steam Client) running while you play as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game....if without UPLAY!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game that is mix of RPG and Strategy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ub-sh-t screams and screams about DEI, inclusivity, multiculturalism, respecting other cultures *ahem* BLACKWASHING and ERASING Japanese culture *ahem*, and yet they don't let you pick a language you WANT, they FORCE you to play with the language they ASSUME you know just because you live in a certain region. Even if I know that said language, THERE IS LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE LOGICAL AND SANE ANSWER TO WHY I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HAVE A FREEDOM OF CHOICE!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is firmly "meh".
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has nothing to do with the settlers, it's a funny mix between squad based combat (heavily focused on rock paper scissor combos) and an easy city management between the missions
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AI less than zero, the characters move where they want and not where you command. It is exhausting to do everything and it is absolutely not true that empowering or besieging an enemy makes it easier to defeat him.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started off with a good idea but developpers managed to royally screw up the game. Theres no sense of rpg, everything is repetative. In the end levels, you start off the map with 20 enemies, but they CONSTANTLY SPAWN IN and in the end you have to go through 200 enemies. Level that should be cleared in 5 minutes now takes an hour because you have to grind and grind through respawning enemies. NOT FUN
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →May look fun on paper but everything this game does sucks. RTS/RPG hybrid may sound fun but this game has no RPG elements whatsoever, combat is super boring and game forces you to fight way too often. Research tree is large but if you look closer, it is full of flat bonuses. You can take gadgets that will help you in game but the amount you can take is limited which makes higher difficulties frustrating rather than challenging. Overall, zero depth, almost zero fun, slow boring fights.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Humorous tactical fantasy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a overcomplicated diabloclone ish
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →how come the game doesn't load??? and if i try to load it via Uplay it's asking me for cd key? ------------------------ game is working again! as of July 6,2020
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A city builder/ party based RPG hybrid. Both aspects are very simplistic and not very fleshed out but it's worth a shot because of it's uniqueness. I finished the whole game and a lot of the missions are very repetitive but overall I enjoyed my time with this game. It's a relaxing little gem, just don't expect it to blow your mind.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the Demo. I liked the translation - quate good!(even female voice lost it charm - but it is not bad). Update: problem fixed. --------------- Then I stuck in battle - heroes stop responding to my commands. Kinda sucks to forfit a turn to replay same battle. I`ll wait for a patch. I have a saves that can be loaded - even 'stuck' still in saves. I have a feeling leaving a bad review will help to fix this issue.
