What people are saying
A cozy but flawed management sim, praised for charm and criticized for bugs and grind.
Many players find Cat Cafe Manager a delightful, low-stress experience with cute cats and charming characters. The gameplay loop is engaging and the art style is widely praised. [1][4][17]
However, critics (per Wikipedia) gave mixed or average reviews, and players frequently note bugs, poor optimization, and a grindy economy. Some also find the game too short or not worth full price. [3][6][31][35]

You can only purchase around 1 item with the amount you earn each day and each set of furniture has 15-30 items in it. Plus, I got bored of fulfilling orders because it wasn't engaging enough, just move and hold 'e' over and over again. It felt like needless grind for a cozy game. Also you could not satisfy all your customer's…

I’ll warn you right away: ultra-light mechanics, a few more meows, a hooky gameplay loop, a slightly deeper peek under the hood, and of course very achievable achievements—especially if you build the right progression strategy. A few dozen hours well spent. Punks, witches, recipes, nectars, business, fantastic drinks, gorgeous furniture pieces, and pure, unapologetic coziness. Absolutely a Nintendo Switch game — perfect under the blankets…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a cozy management game, this was weirdly stressful. The pacing was just bonkers. It simultaneously felt like I was progressing too fast and too slow. I would unlock new items constantly, yet I could afford none of it. Customers kept asking for food that I didn't have the money for. When I couldn't give them what they wanted, I ended up getting even less money from them because they were displeased. Everything was bizarrely priced. Toilets and litter boxes both require copious amount of…

unlabelledView post →Just finished Cat Cafe Manager, and I know this is not my typical genre of game. Generally, it’s a cute and fun cozy game with a dash of cat-taming. And at times, this game feels like a stats-maximizing game (I do like that). It’s also relatively short (9-11 hours).

The cats are barely present, you can just pet them a little and need to click on them every now and then to fulfill playtime. The staff are rather useless and often just sit in the corner. I'm not very fond of the economy system either.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, functional, and put together well. The game just isn't fun for me and feels like work, long boring arduous work. I spent three days grinding up for a set bonus, and I stopped playing looked at myself in the mirror and just realized, "man, I don't like this." This game is perfect for some people, I just don't jive with it. If you like goofy cozy sims please pick this up. However, the question is can I recommend this game and the answer is a resounding no. It wastes my time and not in a…

unlabelledView post →Great concept, really bad execution. Way too grindy. I wanna like this game, I really do. The aesthetic is cute, I actually do like the characters. A lot, actually, which isn't common for most "cozy games" for me. But there are a LOT of problems that just make the game more frustrating than fun. For starters? The currency system with is, in my opinion, the BIGGEST problem. There are 6 demographics you can market to and can visit your cafe, each one providing a type of resource. Vagabonds…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is good but not worth if full price. On a discount it is fine. I mean there's just many small things not working well. The game is out since 2022 yet they never even thought to include a quit or exit button? They already work on the sequel but had no time to implement this? Super weird. Also on Steamdeck some menus don't work well, e.g. where you select hairstyles somehow I can only select the ones on the left. If you have a mouse connected you can select the others though. Not sure that…

unlabelledView post →Cat cafe manager is a cozy management game centered around, you never guess- a cat cafe. The game is instantly charming and adorable with the graphics and the cats running around your cafe. There are also special customers who all belong to certain groups and certain groups like certain things. The witches for example like magical items. You also have a very intimidating Cat shrine with tasks to work forward to in the form of a skilltree to unlock things so I found that personally very cool. I…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cat Cafe Manager is a delightful cozy adventure. It’s not the deepest simulation game out there, but the management and strategy hit a sweet spot that keeps things engaging without losing that relaxed feel. The gameplay loop is satisfying, and time flies as you jump from day to day serving customers, petting and collecting cats, and managing employees and resources. I spent about five hours with Cat Cafe Manager to complete the main story, and I could easily see myself coming back to collect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel bad reviewing this negatively because it's not a bad game, it's just not for me. It doesn't make me want to go back to it to finish it. It can feel sort of repetitive and hollow, but I think it would be fun to play in the background while you're listening to something or watching something.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wish I could say anything about the game, but I couldn't get past the loading screen. It was stuck on a black screen. Tried to follow some of the fixes that were posted, and didn't help. Developer in one thread post said it was an issue with the game engine? Anyway, asked for a refund.

unlabelledView post →Is it cute? Yes. Is it fun? At times. However, there's a lot of frustration in the fact that there's quite a few flaws in this game. The staff AI is pretty bad. Far too often do I find, for example, a staff member with one job - cooking - standing off in the middle of nowhere doing nothing while there's a pile of orders waiting to be cooked. If you save your game at the end of the day and load your save and move onto the next day, it will tell you that you scored a "D" rating for the day…

unlabelledView post →I do not recommend, its grindy and too many currencies to manage. The staff you unlock are terrible, most of the time they stand there not doing anything. It is not cosy in anyway, to unlock new food/drinks you need potions from witches but you also need this currency to buy more ingredients. This forces the game to be slow to progress, not mentioning all the other currency you need to upgrade everything else.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A sweet and short-ish game. It hits the perfect spot when you don't want to start a game that needs your whole attention (like a story game or gameplay heavy game) but you also don't want to just be passive like with a visual novel. This game requires just enough brainpower that you are engaged but not too much as to overwhelm you. I would however say that this game is not worth 18,50 euros, that is in my opinion too much for what the game really is. Don't get me wrong, the Dev's deserve…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only just started playing on my Steam Deck and so far, improvements could have been made to explain how to start the game. Time moves so quickly during the course of a day, way too quickly. Also, not having a way to quit the game other than shutting it down completely from the Steam game menu is annoying since it takes so long to start it back up. I am glad I got it on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the cozy game you've been looking for! I'm not a huge cat fan, but the cats do add another cute element to the game play. I love games with farming aspects, but sometimes it's really nice to have a game without that. This is a restaurant style game and there are plenty of things to do daily which I like. Keeps the player interested. I would definitely recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat the game on here and almost beat it on the switch as well(kept crashing so was impossible to beat there). I would give this probably a 4/5. Its glitchy, there's typos, and I find the story to be a tad too boring imo. But the gameplay loop is enjoyable. I love the cat options, the leveling up system works fine (although a bit slow for my liking for post game). The art style is cute, and I like the decor options. I also really like how forgiving and relaxing it is. There's no stress of…

The controls suck, which leads to accessibility sucks. For a game that looks this simple, having to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game, thinking I would play once or twice. It was cheap, during the Summer Sale. I am now obsessed. The re is so much to do, and once you get past the first struggles of not having funds, decorating is maybe the best part. For cozy gamers, I highly recommend this. Not the high stress/energy like PlateUp! Right now it is in my top ten of favorite games- including Spiritfarer, Stardew, and Fields of Mistria.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cat Cafe manager has plenty of heart and soul behind it making it a really cute and fun experience. I had a good time getting all of the games achievements and found myself easily getting lost in the games loop of serving customers and looking after all the cats that you can acquire. Even as you progress through the games story it never becomes overwhelming as you expand the cafe with how many options there are to cater to different ways of playstyles. Very much looking forward to the sequel!

The systems feel unbalanced enough that going back doesn't feel appealing, and knowing the sequel apparently addresses most of what bothered me here makes it hard to want to reinvest in this one. 💙Favorites💬 Art Style: The visual design is genuinely charming and I do like it a lot. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game was really fun . friend thought i'd like it. i've never played this type of game before. i played it for two days and i beat it in two days because i was so locked in on it. i really love cats, and i really love funky little characters and i think this game did both really well, and it was worth playing past the 'ending' to see more of those interactions (friendship furniture). very excited for the sequel, when that inevitably comes out!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very cute little game. If you love a management sim with cats and a good story with cute characters, then this is it! However, at late game after you finish the story, it's not well optimized. I have a high-end computer and I ran the game at a 20-25 FPS so a few minus points for that. But still recommend!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a cute game but by the time you get half way through the game it's just repetitive. Also a lot of people, including me, have had problems just getting the game to work. I understand this is an indie game but i feel i shouldn't have to join a discord to find out how to run a game. Even after final getting the game to start without crashing for the millionth time i still can only have one saved game at a time or else it crashes... again. They've posted about a sequel which looks cute and…
