positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! I knew nothing about fixing cars when I started, and now I can navigate what is on my own car and have some idea of how to work on it. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have worked on vehicles for more than 40 years. I am a certified master tech, for what that is worth here. I found this game and it was on sale for only a few dollars so I bought it. I wasn't expecting much. All in all, it is a very good game, IMHO. The details in the engine and vehicles are pretty accurate to the real thing in many ways. The game leaves out the frustration of finding the bolts, finding a way to get to the bolts, the proper tool to get the bolt out, the dirt and rust that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In just under 10 hours, I learned the entire assembly of cars, down to the cams, chains/belts, suspension assemblies, and common consumables. This game includes full engine rebuilds, piston replacement and all. I then went outside the game to research these systems in real-world videos. Valve springs, rocker arms, compression ratios, even basic staging with altering hp production. And then bushing demonstrations in action, dampers, hub bearings and other components. I have 4 cars. These 10…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing stress-reliever that stops just short of true realismIf you are looking for a sim game to wind down after a long day, this is perfect. The gameplay loop is very addictive and relaxing. That being said, the mechanics are simplified compared to real-world wrenching. For instance, when doing a timing job, you don't have to worry about top dead center (TDC) or use specialized tools like timing locking rods/pins to hold the engine position. Adding details like piston alignment during…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game. As the titel suggests it is a pure mechanic game, a lot of detail when it comes to car parts. What I miss most is the social perspective - I haven't met a single person in this game. In other words, the game has absolutely no atmosphere. It is completely dead. No family that walks into your shop and wants their car repaired before the holiday, no handyman with his "gooddamn car broke down just now", no car enthusiast who recently bought that piece of junk and wants you to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I buyed a game I start Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 I build engine for 1 hour I spray car Car won't start 10/10 wonderful game i recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Teaching you behind your back, a Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 Review: Another Hit from the Quintessential Car Mechanic Simulator Series. I have been playing the CMS series of games since the first one in 2014. Each entry into the series gets better and better, adding more detail and more customization options. But what it doesn’t tell you is that it is also teaching you behind your back. I’ll be for real; I’m a nerd with the mechanical fascination type of autism. So, this game series tickles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If u know nothing about cars and want to get into them this game is perfect bc i thought it would be very hard but i just got sucked into this game and i cant wait for 2026 to come out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a full time mechanic, and at first I wanted to be bothered by the things that made this game feel unrealistic. But the fact is each of those features makes this game that much more relaxing. This isn't really a mechanic simulator, but a shop owner simulator. I spend my downtime at work wishing I was playing my save back home. Something about there being no quick time events makes this game super relaxing to play after work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Working on cars during the day and then coming home to play a game where i do the same thing without the bs is the most fun

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very fun but time consuming... i forgot to feed my baby because of the game ( dont worry i fed him after i rebuilt an engine )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't even come close to the sheer frustration of actually working on your car and I think that's why I love it so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely amazing game because of too many reasons I'm not going to write. One negative. Please add multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is enjoyable, but they should add more sensors, wiring, or electrical harnesses to make it a bit more realistic and interesting. It would also be great if the bodywork repair process were more interactive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I play this game with my 3 year old son. He loves two things, dinos and cars, and boy does he love these cars! He's the only 3 year old I know who critiques others about the right way to take off a tire. Best money I have ever spent
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game to learn more about cars. Now I know where every rubber bushings goes to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was just looking for a new puzzle game where I could move pieces and connect them together in a satisfying way, with relaxed pacing. I knew close to nothing about cars. I had very little interest in cars and even less interest in their mechanical parts. I don’t even drive. I would never have guessed that I’d enjoy this game so much. It is definitely not for everyone, but if it’s for you, you’ll love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tear car apart. fix car part. have no idea where car part go. sell shell of customers car. dont tell customer. kill customer. bury customer. continue on with day. get home and play cat mechanic simulator. 10/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very educational. Took apart my mother's car and put it back together quite easily. The mechanic charged $4,500 to repair the damage I did but I felt very confident doing it. But seriously, I love this game and it's very relaxing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best simulator game I played so far. I felt like I'm a real mechanic. Now I got so interested in learning automotive engineering because of this game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you absolutely can NOT drive you car unless you have clip b. it's literally the heart and soul of your car it's so important you just have to make sure you have it in there
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really freaking fun game. I love working on cars, I love driving cars, I love looking at cars, I love cars. However, I never went to automotive school, so my mechanical knowledge is limited to youtube videos, advice from mechanics I know, and fixing what needed to be fixed on my own cars. The benefit of this game is that I can actually get a better understanding of the fundamentals of how a car is put together and how to take it apart and put it back together. It's addictively fun, while still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bunhouse is a game where you garden as a bunny 10/10 I've been rotating between this game and Car Mechanic Simulator 2021
unlabelledView post →Good game but feels absolutely terrible because of the mouse smoothing. It feels like I'm running it on my old laptop from 2016, input delay is TERRIBLE.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. I cant wait for the next iteration. I love locating parts in the junkyard. I wish for older cars you could only use used parts vs buying them new. I also wish there was a search function for parts in the paint shop as I carry a ton of stuff in my inventory. Needs more car variety especially older cars. A 1950s and 1940s pack would be cool. There are way more supercars then there should be.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game, love the progress that has been made so far. Would love to see some smaller details added such as torque specs, head gaskets and other gaskets, and sensors to add a little more detail. Keep up the great work guys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really very fun but after a long time it starts to get boring because its just repeating the same thing over and over again but i think its very fun though. SUGGESTION: add radiator hoses and air filter hoses and brake lines and that stuff and wires
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, early game got pretty repetitive as it takes too long to get to more complicated orders, but after that slump it's quite enjoyable. Excited to pick up the next one. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean, I'm 230h in on a very repetitive game, would be a lie if I said I did not enjoy it and not recommend it. I don't think I play it because I like it at this point, it is more that it satisfies my 'tism brain and helps me relax and not think about anything. It is often on sale at this point, so buy it at one of those.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just found out that you can make your own garage posters/signs in Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, and I am definitely going to get carried away >.>
unlabelledView post →For me its a really usefull learning experience, i barley knew how to fix cars before i bought it and i am learning alot by just playing it! def recomend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the game. It’s a lot better than the demo had me believe. I love getting rusted cars in the junkyard and turning them into 100% perfect condition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing game with no time pressure, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the details and get lost fixing up cars
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, but sadly got ruined by all these DLCs, I'd rather pay more for the game and get whole content than pay 10-12$ for the game and spend 30-50$ on DLCs afterwards, hopefully they will do better in 2026 one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is addictive for people like me: I like cars; I like driving them, working on them, fixing them, taking photos of them, flipping them, modifying them, admiring them. And this simulator lets you do it all. The first 10 hours I learned the basics of the game, the second 10 hours I thought I figured it all out, and after 30 hours I realized things were just getting started. Once you unlock every upgrade and become financially free, your creativity takes over and you can do whatever you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun game and teaches you how jobs are done. Also, not to be mad at your mechanic when he takes forever to fix it in real life lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was really fun at the beginning — everything felt new and interesting. During my first 40 hours I enjoyed the gameplay a lot, but after that I already had over a million credits and around level 20. I had repaired most of the cars I liked, and the game slowly became boring. There aren’t many truly good cars in the game, and a lot of the brands feel uninteresting. I also started the game with top‑tier cars like Lamborghini, BMW, and Dodge, so I never really had a reason to work on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: You aren't going to learn much without lots of trial and fails. Performance is mostly unrealistic game simulator. It simulates a game. Its going to take a lot of time to figure out what to do first. The tutorial is incredibly more simple than the game, and is required. Its going to take a lot more effort to figure out how to play the regular game. In the tut, you are guarded against doing anything that is not mandatory. In the actual game, you have to decide if the order is telling you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game i have been playing this on the steam deck and on PC for years. Perfect game to kill time I just sat in the hospital while my wife had to have surgery and played this for 3 hours. doesnt need internet so i have played it for a week every night on a cruise. Just an endless amount of fun to be had!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the fact that you can add mods to actually have the car logos and names to match the real world car brands that is got to be to one of the best and coolest mods to be ever be allowed in a game. And for that I raise my hat to Red Dot Games. And I only ask for more and just take my money. Although I do hope that they put in some more details in the future when it comes to the coolant resviour and radiator their should be coolant hoses (upper and lower coolant hose) the upper to conned…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I got this game on sale for $4 and enjoyed myself for 22 hours. So I actually do recommend it as a mild entertainment for a sale price of say $15 or less. Why the thumbs down? This: I played an earlier version of this years ago, and my same complaints exist. It is clear that the developer is just recycling the same idea and play style, updating the graphics a bit, and releasing a new version. Here are my specific gripes: 1 - The only damage car parts ever have is rust. The parts have a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a car person that isn't super mechanically inclined, this game is a fun way to learn the basics of working on cars - I went from a complete novice to successfully tearing down an engine in a matter of hours. Now I mostly just vibe to the in-game music (you can add your own if you'd like) and wrench on a random car from the junkyard [pro tip - it's a great way to make some credits outside of jobs]. The base game is enough to keep you busy for hours, but the DLCs with licensed cars are worth…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. It helps teach you about the basics of car repair while also keeping it fun and light. Lots of things to do!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I spent some solid time playing Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, and if you’re into cars or just like chill, grind-style games, this one hits. The biggest strength is how detailed the gameplay is. You’re not just clicking “repair”—you’re actually taking cars apart piece by piece, diagnosing problems, and rebuilding them. It’s surprisingly satisfying once you get into it, and it gives you a real appreciation for how cars are put together. There’s a good amount of content too. You start with basic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the graphics have seen a slight bump, Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 ultimately feels like a repetitive grind that fails to fix the long-standing issues of the series. The gameplay loop quickly turns into a tedious chore because you spend far too much time clicking through clunky, nested menus and watching the same unscrewing animations over and over again. It is incredibly frustrating that the game still relies on a "find the hidden part" mechanic that forces you to dismantle half the car…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far a pretty good game. I'm just getting into it. The only thing that kind of worries me is there's loot crates and some kind of 2nd currency. So far it's not been used and I can repair cars with no hassle, but why is it there? If I find some kind of pay to win scheme I'll definitely change this review, but for now, the games good and well worth the $4 I spent on it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/5 Stars This game is brilliant considering the size and effort put into work. The graphics aren't so bad actually as far as environment goes. The game itself really drags you in and it is definitely something you play to keep your mind occupied. I also feel like it will teach you to pay attention to small details and remember routine situations when it comes to actual work involving cars. I heard this one ranked highest on the charts in the list as far as the "series" goes, which is why I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →heartbreak. Stopped at the one yard line on the two point conversion in 2OT. We will continue to chase the national championship. Thanks for watching. We'll be back tomorrow for some Car Mechanic Simulator 2021.

unlabelledView post →Generally really fun game. Being able to breakdown a car to almost bare-bones nothing and rebuild it is quite satisfying. Though it is very realistic in the way that as you're working, you realized you don't have the right part, then get to simulate being on the computer looking for the right parts to fix the issue.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe being a mechanic for several years has ruined it for me, but I find everything too simple. ABS pump comes off without having to take off brake lines, don't need to bleed the system. Body panels come off without having to take any bolts out, the tire machine is just an animation, no skill or mini game required. Just seems underwhelming. I wanted it to be challenged a LITTLE bit.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →class wee game but wish it was more in depth with piping and wiring but would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every Mechanics dream...No IRL drama of customers needing their cars being fixed then being deadbeats when it time to pay up. Love the in depth simple mechanics of the game! i love the choice of either grinding away repairing customers cars and following the story line or gain enough money to constantly flip cars until you start making a good amount of $$ to upgrade your shop. I would recommend a multiplayer option or a CO-OP with friends to have more fun and fix the tuning, steering and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stupidly checked through the comments sections on Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 (good game! Love it!) and Cities Skylines 2 (took some time to warm up but still love it!) and I can’t think of anything more that I want aside from the absolute death/salting of the earth of “Gamer” as an identity
