60 of 72 · most liked firstI think the concept is really fun, the first loop I played was compelling until I hit bugs that dropped my camper's stars after a restart of the game. SUPER early access. Content is lacking and its paced weird. All the spooky stuff is mostly cosmetic at this point. If you are on the fence about this game then wait until they do more updates.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UNFINISHED AND ABANDONED GAME. I enjoyed what little of the game I was able to play it but come to realize that this is an essentially an Early Access they released and immediately abandoned after a handful of bug and QoL fixes. Of course those changes lead to other game breaking bugs that will not be fixed. Bugs range from picking up an object completely changing the object to something else (like rugs running into picnic cloths) to things like the day/night cycle being completely bugged…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It could have been a good game, but it's clear that this project was abandoned by the developer. As you get later in the game, you will find glitches where you're stuck in the void between nights, invisible walls that weren't there before, Quest items that were never added to the game (caterpillars), the teleportation system not working, and campers disappearing into the locked final zone. Can't fully purchase inventory extensions. Completed quests don't leave the To-Do tab as they initially…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. Be warned, the beginning is HARD. Your campers will hate you and threaten mutiny. In my first attempt I learned I should never be a camp councillor! The hand-drawn art is whimsical and the writing is funny. There is a story but it is not the main driving force (like Bear and Breakfast). There is a lot of figuring out how things work on your own which is a plus for me. I hope in the future the devs add more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the concept and the art style. its cute.. but I just feel empty playing the game. and it lacks guide / tutorial. so I always asked my self, "what I supposed to do?" I would love to give a schedule. the campers do the same task, free roam time, eating time, etc.. and I read in the discussion page, and I agree with their suggestions. for now, I think the game is still lack of content. I'll be back when the game has lot of those features and gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super cute. I've enjoyed watching this game grow from mid 2021 till now and it's amazing to see how much it's improved. The world of Camp Canyonwood is similar to animal crossing where you can basically do what you will within reason. It also makes me feel like I'm playing a better version of Camp Laslo from the Cartoon Network where all you did in the Camp Laslo game was build sandwiches. Overall, super fun and highly would recommend for a relaxing game to play in your free time!…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but it's such a huge let down. The concept is fantastic, the art is wonderful, and the gameplay could've been so good. First big issue I have, the developers never finished the game, they pushed it out of early access and ditched it. Which becomes painfully obvious because there are plenty of bugs(some are pretty much game breaking) and crashes. However, nothing about this game irritates me more than the pure clunkiness, literally all of it. The two main…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game seems to have been abandoned. It’s extremely buggy and doesn’t work properly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has an interesting premise, but the execution is awful. The devs dipped after the fail game release, almost as if they didn't wanna work on the game anymore and rushed to finish it. Although I enjoy the art style and general idea of the game, it is a buggy mess that feels unfinished. I can't finish the game myself due to not being able to find the right things I need, and online doesn't help either. The devs aren't even active within their own Discord, messages in the help channel go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a fun game when it came out but the lazy dev team abandoned the game with a ton of bugs still present. I regret spending money on this game and supporting the devs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a bit of work that certainly needs to be done, but overall the game is very fun. The current state of the game is a bit grindy, and there are a few notable bugs that I have encountered. The grind is fine, I enjoy it, but may not be for everyone. Took me awhile to figure out how to get money in the game, at the end of the camp week you get a large sum, but while running the came you can sell items to a shop just south of the camp entrance. Pros: relaxing, seems to have an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is unfinished and seemingly abandoned. It's a good idea with a fun concept but unfortunately it's just too buggy with not enough content to really make it worth your while. Truly I wouldn't bother as the devs show no signs of coming back to tidy up / add anything new.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 - The game has a very charming art style and I want to like it, but unfortunately it is very repetitive and boring and the cumbersome inventory is a catastrophe. You get little tasks like catching 5 bugs or collecting 20 herbs. But it's often not obvious where to find them, so you run blindly across the whole map, taking everything you find in the hope that it's the right one. After a while, the children get bored, so you have to do something else. Once you have completed the quest after a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really expecting more from this game, I get that its still developing, but just kinda seems like there is really nothing to do. UI is a little confusing.....and they should really work more on the dialogues of the characters.....I dont recommend Early Access.....wait.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I have played this game a lot, it's been kind of my me time while being postpartum, it just really sucks the game doesn't have caterpillars or even a way for the community to mod them in, I'll still keep playing because I'm weirdly emotionally tied into helping these guys have an amazing summer while my baby sleeps or I get me time, but the broken quests bother me a lot, I also find it hard to progress with some of the story not just because of that, but there's weird stuff that happens in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only played a small amount of this and I really loved the concept so much, it really reminds you of a weird and funny Cartoon Network show. But once again it's been left unfinished and Abandoned with a ton of bugs that will never be fixed. But if that doesn't stop you the game is about making and running your own scout camp, scouts will arrive and you have to help them earn their badges from helping them learn about nature to fishing even UFO sightings??? then you can use that money to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't abandon this game! It is ammazing, but since the devs rushed it out of early access, there are glaring issues, but please support this game so maybe the devs will remember that it exsists
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With any early access game, there are glitches that are being fixed and the game is being updated, so you have to keep that in mind when the game crashes etc. However, this being said, I love the game. The game play, the characters, the dialogue, etc. has kept me entertained for over 100 hours now and I have yet to get bored (which says a lot for my own attention span).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really looking forward to playing this game. I am sadly left dissapointed as the game still has issues that the devs seem to just be ignoring...Just completely abandoned. Looks like the last time anyone had a reply in the discord channel was 17/03/2024. Last anything to be updated on the game was when it got full release 26/02/2024. I would be more than happy to change this reveiw if they fix issues that people have been reporting about, but they won't. I've deleted it entirely now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game, I like the idea, I like the way it has been plotted. I do not like the dynamic typing on the conversations, that is very irritating I do not like the glitching I do not like the tutorial as it is also glitchy The management needs to be thought out a little bit better, I could also live without the millennial jokes, they aren't particularly funny, sorry. There are also quite a few careless errors that make you quit frequently, which is a shame. I got this game for very…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good as I thought it was gonna be, lots of issues that need to be fixed. It just feels like there's nothing to do and lots of the stuff doesn't work. The campers don't put their trash/wood in the bins so I have to grab it from their inventory every time, the to-do list feels so bugged that I can't even look through the things I need to do. When I entered the game and was presented with the they/them pronouns I knew I was gonna be let down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very enjoyable, it has some don't starve vibes but with more chatting. The story so far from what i played good ( I do need to play more, but if it continues the way is has I'll no problems putting more hours into it since it is very fun!)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What exactly are you supposed to do?? the UI is confusing and none of my campers will eat! Not sure I can recommend because i cant figure anything out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR - It needs time to bake before I recommend it wholeheartedly, but if you don't mind a bit of crust, it's not a bad investment as it is right now. Decent amount of stuff to do. Ignore the literal children comparing it to Don't Starve; the art-style is similar, but stands on its own. Gameplay-wise it's more like a dangerous Animal Crossing, except your village's star rating depends on how happy your villagers are as individuals. --- Welcome to Camp Canyonwood, Head Counsellor! It's all up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excited to see what this one becomes! Has great potential, but i'd sit it out until a lil more content rolls in. Very cute so far though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They put in all this stuff you can do and forgot to give you any reason to do any of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really think this game has a lot of potential and the gameplay itself is fun. However, at its current state it is unplayable for me as there is a frequent glitch that happens resulting in the campers emptying storage (and being stuck there forever) or duplicating items (which results in piles of items on the ground and is a money glitch). The game maker has been notified of these errors for over a month now and has released additional updates to the game but hasn't fixed this glitch. Until…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is moderately entertaining but incredibly clunky to navigate. The campers consistently get in the way, making it difficult to to pick things up or interact with them. I've only played a couple hours so I haven't encountered any of the game breaking bugs discussed in other reviews. I bought this on sale, so I'm not super beat up about it...but if I had paid $20 for it I definitely would be. If it really is abandoned, it's pretty sad that they're still charging $20 for an unfinished…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So my take on the game is that game is bad its shallow, boring and slow spend 16 hours thinking game picks up at some point boy I was wrong same game loop over and over the more you spend time playing the more you get annoyed by the game basically game consist of you doing boring chores like gather 50 wood and find 3 types of specific bugs so you are now running around like chicken without head around map looking for them, and that's the game campers a just annoying detail to it and all the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Comment : (5.5/10) - Art style is lovely and cute , attractive - Main theme of the game is manage the campsite, attractive and interesting - The main gameplay are : (1) Manage the campsite and expand it (building and decorating, best part in game but not enough) (2) Complete staffs' quests by donating materials again and again in order to unlock new items (Boring) (3) Leading different campers to learn different skills from different activities in game: catching bug, fishing, chopping, mining,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely enjoyed this game. The Dialog is wonderful. Yes its clearly still early access and they have a few kinks to work out but all in all it was a very pleasant experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CAMP CANYONWOOD You get to build and manage a summer camp! Teach the campers how to fish, hunt, catch bugs, hike, explote, wood chopping and many more! Teaching them activities they get badges which contribute to the overall satisfaction of the campers thus leaving a review at the end of the summer , hopefully posititve, so that more campers will come thus more money! doing all these while protecting them from dangers that lurk around such as bear , snakes, bugs and... aliens, yeap aliens.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had potential to be really good, the story is decent and the gameplay is pretty fun, but there's so many bugs that'll never be fixed since the game was seemingly abandoned by the devs. Not worth picking up unless you can find it for like $4. -Teleport fires don't work, game crashes, tasks on clipboard resetting at the end of the week, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**Game is still in Early Access at the time of this review** I bought this game the day it came out on steam. I was also part of the early beta test and thought this game had so much potential. In its "Current State", the game has some minor bugs and major bugs, as you would expect from a true indie game developed by a small group of people. Some of the major bugs are clear and are not meant to be there, nor due the developers pretend they don't exist. The main one being a duplication issue.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've really enjoyed playing this game. There is a sense of progression as you complete goals to get upgrades. Being a successful camp counselor means balancing camper "fun" time with inventory management and keeping camper's experience high by earning badges which are eventually converted into money. The game goes in 7 day cycles where you get new campers, earn badges, make profit, and convert the profit into upgrades. I'm reviewing this game early in the beta and will admit that it will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good camp management game, need more time to figure out all the basics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →buggy and seeminigly abandoned, camp canyonwood just ... doesn't encourage you to keep playing. the premise of this game is fun; you're a counsellor, exploring new lands with groups of students while trying to protect them against the wilderness and get them badges for that delicious delicious money. there's just not enough direction in the game to really get into the meat of it -- you're left on your own to find various resources that the staff request, yet the camp kids get in the way as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welp, my game crashed 3 hours in. It ran pretty badly in the time it did not crash too. Too many useless things. 30 different kinds of flowers all individually requiring 30 inventory slots is especially cancer. The game would have been instantly better if they cut in half the number of flowers, fish and bugs that were interactable and very simply made the rest require a simple magnifying glass prompt to examine. Like most of this stuff just did not need to take up inventory space. The small…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game; and based on what does work, I do. It's got a great art style and premise. Love the paranormal themes especially. Unfortunately, it has too many bugs and crashes constantly. As others have said, it seems to have been abandoned right after it was released, which is genuinely a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a cute game, but it needed more polish. cool idea, but it doesnt have the best mid game progression, you just get dumped with a lot of new areas and you feel overwhelmed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the begining i thougth this game is so cool - good idea of camp-conception, lead little-birds to explore the world, forest, mysterios disapper of previus counselor. But then, when you pass away more then 7 summers and Fbi Igles still in the aisle, erned 5 stars for many of summer but reputation still 86%, types of insects and animals waren't found because, i think, they are just not exist, and you can't complete donation requests, which is buging and appearing twice in to-do list. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game focused way too much on being weird and silly, and not on being good game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1.0 Is Out Played the game before this update and safe to say basically all the bugs that hindered game play are gone! Notes on the Game Looking after the kids is much more manageable now! With the kids having much better AI and not getting themselves stuck. No more kids throwing their items all over the place too, all storage works as it should. Achievements being here now is a big plus; it's fun to have some of the more negative occurrences reward you with a nice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game. I does need a lot more work to make it more fun. May I suggest, making the storage shed up gradable to have more slots. There seems to be no way to help the kids when their health is low?? the children keep putting their tools away and often next to the shed instead of in it. I cannot reprimand bullies, I have to pick them up instead. the conversation dialog just cycles over and over you may want to ad some depth to it? like conversation choices. there is a lot more but that's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UPDATE!!! - The patch that was put out did fix the issue I was having with the game. I want to like this game. I think I COULD like and enjoy this game however, I've now spent 3 hours trying to get it to work properly. It worked just fine when I first…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun camp management game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Camp Canyonwood is a charming and deliberately unusual camp-management simulation that turns the responsibilities of a summer counselor into a mixture of exploration, construction, collecting, child supervision, and wilderness survival. Developed by Deli Interactive LLC and published by Graffiti Games, it begins with a simple objective: take charge of a struggling campground and gradually restore it to its former glory. What separates the experience from a conventional management game is its…

If that happens, I may try to stream tomorrow. Here's the link. See you tonight! #stream #gaming www.twitch.tv/otto_otsky
unlabelledView post →I am mixed on it. Yeah it can be a bit janky at times but bottom line it's a decent game that I have over all enjoyed however the bugs can be pretty bad though. I've dealt with it crashing, things not working right, etc. The inventory system also has a lot of kinks to it like I can not burn what the campers bring me fast enough. If anything it gets repetitive for after a while but some people enjoy that sort of thing. I wish this game got more development because the art and story is really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adored the art style, but it must be poorly optimized. I am running Cult of the Lamb at 165fps with a fully packed cult, but I can't even get 50 fps running this at the lowest resolution provided, only 5 minutes into the game on a fresh file before even building a camp. I'd skip this for now. It would need a ton of work to play the way a game like this ought to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm recommending because the concept is interesting and the game is entertaining for the first couple of hours, but there are bugs and although one should expect them in an EA game, most of them are incredibly frustrating; items duplicating, then disappearing altogether. Campers eating poisonous food rather than what's been cooked. There is a very annoying bug where the campers glitch out and get stuck in a loop of equipping/storing the tools you give them. I have a fairly high tolerance for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am about half way through season 3. I like most of the game play, although, it feels a bit like I'm not getting full instructions. Also some of the bugs make me feel like I don't really know what to expect for the full version. My campers tools keep duplicating so I've been selling them and decorating my camp with excess money. I can't tell if I'm playing it wrong because all of my campers but 1 left camp with 5 stars and I haven't run into anything worse than a cobra... which was pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game when it initially came out in Early Access; and at first it was kind of promising. What I didn't realize back then is that Early Access build was going to be THE ENTIRE GAME with very little additions. The main (and only) focus in development was adding more creatures and biomes to the game world while the game play loop itself was unplayable until release. Kids would ditch their tools in storage frequently and it was just a pain. On release the game is technically playable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game takes me back to my childhood!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game for what it was super fun but later in the game gets super buggy and unplayable. I couldn't even open the game once I was farther into it because of how bugged it was. However I still got several hours of game play and for 4$ it was worth it. But I wish the devs put more content into the game and patched bugs. Had they done that I would pay more money for it. It had a lot of potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a lot of fun but it has a tendency to have unity crashes. Which loses your days progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love this game, like REALLY bad, but there are so many bugs in it that it's hard to fully get into. There are so many fun mechanics (paranormal badges, UFO abductions, other crytpids), but the game breaking glitches destroys your ability to progress. It's such a bummer because it IS a neat game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a lot of promise. Don't let the removal of Early Access fool you, this game isn't done.
