unlabelledView post →The bit towards the end of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons where you are on your own and stuck. That moment of realization as your hand moves on the controller to do what you have been doing the whole game, is one of the most powerful moments in video games imo.

unlabelledView post →Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, the loss plays out in the controller and that was affecting and cool. But it was also over soon after. Game needs to keep doing other interesting things if the player is to bounce back.
unlabelledView post →Short, simple, and emotionally devastating I loved Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons, mainly because of how it uses its controls to tell the story instead of just cutscenes. Having each brother mapped to one side of the controller sounds simple at first, but the game does some really clever things with that setup as you move through the world and solve puzzles together. There’s almost no dialogue, but you still end up understanding the brothers and their bond just through their animations,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not kidding that there's a purely mechanical moment in this game that is one of the most deep & heartbreaking experiences I ever had in a game... I think it's far superior to what Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons does, it's a shame it isn't as well-known.

unlabelledView post →Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is a fantasy game. Break out your Xbox controller as this game is designed to control two characters at the same time. Gameplay is a twin stick walking simulator. This game uses the Unreal 3 engine. Seabreeze did a great job with the graphics. The story seems to be inspired by Tomb Raider and similar games. This game is also available on the Xbox 360. I played this on my Dell Precision 3480 with Intel Xe Arc graphics and RTX A500 graphics.

unlabelledView post →that would have been my first pick. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is up there (absolutely vital to play it with a controller) and you know what? Tales from the Borderlands, especially if you are familiar with the first two Borderlands AND some other Telltale Games first
unlabelledView post →I like the game but the fact that there are two versions of this game and full functionality (two players mode) is available only in another version is a scam

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda a trigger warning but also a spoiler warning When I was in middle school this game was out on xbox live and I played it with my closest friend at the time. I don't think there was a way to actually play multiplayer so we both held onto one side of the same controller. I played the younger brother and he played the older (which was a point of contention) cause i'm older. Anyways we played this game to completion and it's something that's stuck with me, I remember most of this game pretty…

unlabelledView post →Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Dec. 3rd Stunning game. Don't let 505 Games lie to you, this is NOT cooperative. Do not play it that way. A genuinely amazing piece of art that everyone should experience. Great story, if a bit simple, amazing and varied gameplay. Solid overall. Don't touch the remake.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found the controls really un-intuitive for a single person, and the gameplay was a bit of a slog. Can't say much for the story since I played for barely half an hour. Might be for you, as I see most people like it, but it didn't land for me. Didn't bother trying to force it.
