The gameplay loop is addictive, the humor hits more than it misses and the DLC pile packs so much content that you’ll forget what the main story was about halfway through. A few quests feel like they were written on a Friday at 4:59 PM, but the chaos and charm carry it hard. [8.5/10]

A bunch of dlcs no longer work because Gearbox is no longer supplying licensing files to steam to activate them. This problem is currently only partially fixable, with absolute goats on Steam forums supplying the file for UVHM 1 pack, so you can still finish the game. It gives you a lot of freedom to explore and tackle objectives in your own way. The plot didn’t always make sense to me, but the game doesn’t take itself too seriously. For example, some characters do things that seem unrealistic, like a kid making explosives. But if you set those quirks aside, it’s simply a fun shoot-’em-up experience.
