If he has a job, he gets at least three hours of Blazblue in after work every weekday. If he does play other games, they're other arthritis-inducing fighting games. If he ever plays a non-fighting game, it's some ridiculously difficult single-player action game. This isn't a meme. Friend some of these people after the match and you'll see. Anyways, it's a good game. Just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the fighting games that truly got me into the genre. Every character feels like a game unto themselves. The story is confusing, but fun, and I discover new interactions in almost every match. Am I good? No. Do I get my face smashed in during 80% of my matches? Definitely yes! But it's always fun!

Online is still active after all these years, albeit its basically composed of no-life pro-players or sweaty try-hards like me. Very hostile environment for newcomers lol. Anyways, BUY THIS GAME NOW. Yes, its an order. Now do it, or else... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3588614724

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BlazBlue: Centralfiction is a love letter to high-speed, high-expression 2D fighting games. It’s unapologetically “anime fighter” in the best way: explosive movement, bold character identities, and a pace that makes every decision feel urgent. If you enjoy games where creativity matters as much as execution, Centralfiction has an energy that still feels uniquely alive. The roster is the main event. Characters aren’t just cosmetic variations—they are fundamentally different systems with their…

Every character feels like they’re playing their own game, which is both awesome and terrifying online. The sprite work and music still go insanely hard years later. You will get bodied at first, but learning combos in this game feels incredibly rewarding.

I was coached by Guymam on the character back when he was still maining him. I once wrote a now outdated guide for him on the defunct dustloop forums. I can also play a pretty decent Jin. Overall, this game is significantly better than GG: Strive. I wish they would relaunch the series, but this game is already very good. This game was made before the recent push…

You're missing out on the peak of the genre and most likely we'll never see anything that tops this game. From the early 1990s throughout the 2000s we saw a rise in the difficulty of fighting games combined with a ever continuing improvement in 2D sprite work. If you were dreaming of a fighting game that looked like a cartoon/anime back in the 90s and 2000s then this is it. This is the peak of 2D sprites and…

Whenever I boot it up after long periods of time away, it is always fun and brings smile to my face despite my lack of skill. The music is another reason that keeps me coming back to it; it's fantastic stuff (so much so that I bought the physical versions whenever I could), a couple of…

If you come to fighting games to learn cool combos and tech, this game is for you. If you come to fighting games for nuanced player to player interaction, this game is for you. If you come to fighting games for a unique roster with characters that you can represent, this game is for you. So many fighting games try to lean hard into fast…

unlabelledView post →This is my favorite fighting game of all time. Mechanics are great, movement is great, deep system. Diverse characters and when you're in the flow state, its peak gameplay. Biggest issue is that your enjoyment from a pvp standpoint will live or die by you finding a character you love. The characters aren't really homogenous, so if there's an archetype you enjoy and the representative of that archetype doesn't fit your gameplay or visual preferences, you're kind of out of luck. Very good and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I like fighting games, I'm still bad at them and when you start out, you will also find that you are somehow getting caught in a corner with a 20 second pressure that makes you hold the block and barrier button constantly, and then you forget to press it for 1 frame and get hit and die. Learning fighting games in 2026 is just ♥♥♥♥ and balls torture. I learnt how to block after spending a total of around 10 hours online just blocking, not attacking a single bit. And then I still get caught…

That game is ten years old, it hasnt been touched in years and all of a sudden new DLC for it?? BBCF is what got me into fighting games, so I am VERY excited about this. I'd love to see more stuff from the franchise again

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I initally thought that BlazBlue was just a ripoff of Guilty Gear (my entry into the FGC). But, out of boredom, I picked Calamity Trigger; I liked the setting and the gameplay was alright, but it was old, and the pc version has serious performance issues. Come the autumn sale, I decided to pick this game up, it was cheap, and I could always refund if I didn't enjoy it. I enjoyed it A LOT The combos just make sense, I can actually make stuff on the spot. And the roster is like nothing…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I still love this game. I have played every version of BlazBlue and I have always enjoyed this franchise. Since, day one of "Calamity Trigger" back on the Xbox 360 many years ago. It kept getting better and better. Good memories with this franchise and this version of the game is my favorite.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. Love the mechanics and combos! We really need a Guilty Gear Vs. Blaz Blue, hahaha.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never played anything this fun or cool before. Whether you're a casual or a pro, here for the singleplayer content or the tight knit discords. If you and a friend picked it up on sale for the banter, or if you're just here to enable autocombos and have fun mashing through a wealth of visual novel content. Granblue CF is incredible. I can't imagine a kind of fighting game fan that wouldn't find something to love here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most dynamic and difficult fighting games of all time I love this game so much. It is THE knowledge check fighting game other than Undernight, and every character has something call for them. Do you like mecha girlies, vampires, witches, SNAKES? This game has it all. Do you want a fast paces, action full game, with difficult combos, structure and combo theory but still characters with easier entry level and expression? This game has that too. And to top it off you can earn cool…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best to do it. Large varied cast that play very differently from each other. A few years on now from the rollback update, people like to call it a discord fighter in a derogatory way, but that's not a bad thing in my eyes. The scene is very much alive, and if you're looking in the right places there's always going to be passionate players eager to share tech and matches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i don't think there's another fighting game as stupid but fun as this one genuinely. BBCF is truly something special. its real unfortunate its the last entry in the series and there is definitely no sequel from this

unlabelledView post →i think this game has a lot of really cool stuff going for it, the main problem is unless you're willing to spend close to 50 hours strictly in the lab, or have friends dedicated to teaching you, you will have a miserable experience in ranked. It is FILLED with rookie hunters that just want to pad their stats, and since the ranked system does nothing to match you with people that are really within your skill bracket, you're just going to get stomped into the ground. I know this sounds salty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They are actually crazy for dropping a new DLC character nearly 10 years later. With all the old players coming back to play the online is packed making it the best time to try it out. The characters all play totally different and are packed with personality. It is definitely combo heavy and hard to learn but they included a stylish mode so you can just mash and look cool while you learn. The hand drawn visuals and the music are genuinely beautiful. Easily one of the best fighting games ever…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First things first: BlazBlue Centralfiction? Peak fiction. Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is also really fun. And a ponytail tied at exactly the right height to accentuate her stylish figure. Yes... Pure and mainstream!
