unlabelledView post →Pretty wild that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice wrote Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis out with one line because they got old, while spending an entire movie paying tribute to the character played by Jeffrey Jones, a convicted pedophile, in pictures, an animated sequence, and a major emotional throughline.
unlabelledView post →Finally watched BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE and I found out (first time in my life) that there’s a song about a cake left in the rain, a very successful song, and found out (first time as well) that the legend Richard Harris sang it! Loved the movie btw :) LOVED the Italian intermezzo! (And tribute) ❤️

unlabelledView post →The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailer reeks of cowardice. A real filmmaker would have stuck to his original creative vision and done "Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian." A German expressionist teenager beach party movie about ghosts and talking slugs wouldn't have been good, but it would have had JUICE

Zach Galligan, who played Billy Peltzer in the two Gremlins films revealed, > They’ve come up with a script. Warner Bros. is incredibly interested in doing it. Apparently, it’s waiting on Mr. Spielberg to read it and improve it, but, you can thank the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This is interesting because director Joe Dante purposefully made Gremlins 2 really wacky so they they couldn't…

unlabelledView post →Beetlejuice 100% does not need a sequel and I long for a return to original standalone movies BUT the fact that the third movie could be BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE brings a doofy ass smile to my face. You realize how fun the marketing could be?? 😭

unlabelledView post →Okay while no one needs or wants a Beetlejuice sequel, it being called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is clever. I chuckled. And the teaser poster referencing the end of the first movie with how long Beetlejuice needed to wait is also cute.

unlabelledView post →I've said this all before, but I would say Beetlejuice Beetlejuice had the laziest ending because they set up four entire movies in the course of one movie and then threw them all in the trash so that they could redo the ending to the first movie.

unlabelledView post →Genuinely wondering when Tim Burton is gonna do another stop motion film. We're 13 years out from the last one (Frankenweenie) and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice had probably some of the best stop motion I've seen from him. Would love to see what he could do with that style of stop motion

unlabelledView post →Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Finally got to see it tonight. It's a very 'meh' movie. William Defoe was the best part of the movie. Everything else just didn't seem to work that well and had very "direct to DVD" 90's feel in the worst possible way.

unlabelledView post →We finally got around to watching Beetlejuice Beetlejuice yesterday evening. Turns out we really liked it and it wasn't a disappointment at all. Probably Tim Burton's best work in over 15 years. Unsurprisingly, I loved everything about Catherine O'Hara's character return. I felt a bit odd about Winona's character having a lot less self-confidence, but life can do that to you, especially with her abilities. The movie felt pretty smooth, Burton stuck to what he does well, everything felt upgraded…
unlabelledView post →We watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last night and it was really fun! My only gripe was that they spent a WEIRD amount of time on Charles. Like if you're going to write disgraced actor Jeffrey Jones out of the film, maybe don't make his character the main driver while other plot threads get rushed?

unlabelledView post →Have to say Beetlejuice Beetlejuice REALLY impressed me. I honestly didn't plan to see it, and I'd say it was almost as good as the first film, and felt like it almost took more inspiration from the animated series than the film, which was what I liked more as a kid anyway
