unlabelledView post →I've been continuing my hyperfixation Batman movie binge and watching Nolans dark knight trilogy. I loved Batman Begins way more during this rewatch And Dark Knight was still fantastic but I still feel robbed of Two-face as a longer lasting foe. His scenes were fantastic but far too short
unlabelledView post →Decided to rewatch Batman Begins during my morning workout...probably hadn't seen it in over a decade. I forgot how absolutely beautiful Cillian Murphy is in that movie. Actually gasped when he showed up.

It’s called Batman Begins.’ ‘I forgot.’ ‘It’s understandable, son. He doesn’t actually become Batman til the 3rd film.’ ‘What?’

unlabelledView post →I get that Fantastic Four (2005) is getting a bit of a reevaluation as a fun romp, but this movie came out the year after Spider-Man 2 and only one MONTH after Batman Begins. It earned those reviews it got.
unlabelledView post →*after watching Batman Begins* That was a great film, except for the Batman voice, but I'm sure they'll fix that in the sequel. *after watching The Dark Knight* Wow! That voice was even more awkward this time, but I think I'm used to it. *after watching The Dark Knight Rises* Oh, fuck you!
unlabelledView post →This is an insane take. Even if this all were true, imagine if movie studios were like "Thanks Christopher Nolan, that whole Batman Begins movie was great. But now that the movie's made, we only need a small team to handle distribution, so kindly fuck off forever."

unlabelledView post →for the goddamn millionth time, i am going to point out: Batman Begins made $375M at the global box office. The Dark Knight made a Billion it's common for movies to not make the real money until a sequel, and this movie has SUCH good word of mouth, you'd be insane not to give it one more go
unlabelledView post →I love how Batman Begins is kind of in the middle in terms of the tones these movies go for. On one hand, it's definitely a darker superhero movie, especially for the time, but on the other hand, you have corny-ass movie trailer lines like....
unlabelledView post →at the time, with Raimi bringing his pop-y style to Spider-Man, and with the heavily stylized Burton and Schumacher films, Nolan doing Batman Begins was seen as all about grit and realism, but you watch it now, all these years later, and it's just a great, classical Hollywood movie about Batman

unlabelledView post →Went to cinema tonight to see Batman Begins, some kind of retro showing. Amazing movie, not seen it before. And what a cast!
unlabelledView post →Add a word, ruin a movie Batman Begins Pilates
unlabelledView post →Rewatched Batman Begins and Ra’s al Ghul’s whole point is that Gotham has become so decadent it doesn’t deserve to continue. That movie doesn’t show Gotham rising to the occasion to prove him wrong. It’s about Bruce Wayne not losing faith. Gotham proves Ra’s wrong in the Dark Knight.
unlabelledView post →-Batman Begins is great, but Dark Knight outshines it -Give me Fury Road over OG Mad Max any day -Raimi's Spider-Man 2 is head-and-shoulders above 1 -Police Story 3 crushes 1; 2 is also better than 1 -Friday the 13th Part 6 is a delight, way more fun than 1 -Logan is easily the best Wolverine movie
unlabelledView post →You: “Nolan’s worst movie is THE DARK KNIGHT RISES” Me (an intellectual): “Nolan’s worst movie is BATMAN BEGINS”
unlabelledView post →Someone uploaded footage of the cast of Batman Begins - including Christian Bale and Michael Caine - recording their dialogue for the video game of the movie and talking about the process. There are some very special moments in this footage and I strongly recommend you watch it.
unlabelledView post →Had a proper "oh no i'm old" collapsed lung and foetal position moment when I remembered Batman Begins is 20 years old and I watched that movie in a cinema and I was in my twenties and that was twenty years ago and time is no good and terrible and WHADDYAMEAN TWENTY YEARS AGO?????
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins is some movie. Hard to believe though. I can live with all the crazy gadgets & the falling a 1,000 feet off a building engulfed in flames & waking up 2 days later with a few bruises. What I'm having difficulty with is that it's a billionaire trying to help everyone. Ha ha ha get real.
unlabelledView post →Add one word to a film to ruin it. Batman Begins Shitposting
unlabelledView post →What’s a movie you saw 3 or more times in theaters? 👀 #filmsky I typically never liked to give movies repeat business at the theater, but in 2005, there was a time when I kept rewatching Batman Begins and Land of the Dead because I enjoyed the hell out of those so very much.
unlabelledView post →My rogue take is the best Batman movie out of the Dark Knight trilogy is Batman Begins Not the best movie per say, but the best Batman movie
unlabelledView post →Not long ago Ponzu was sitting on me as I played BG3 and I was in an area where bats frequently flew past; she was in absolute awe. I pointed it out to my husband and he said, “makes sense—her favourite movie is Batman Begins” 😆 I’d totally forgotten she’d *loved* that film when she was a kitten! ☺️
unlabelledView post →My STRONG suspicion is that there will be some kind of "Joker card at the end of 'BATMAN BEGINS'" business in Creggers' movie that will serve as a signal for: "If everyone likes this one, we'll do the BIG SEQUEL where Chris and Claire and Wesker and Nemesis and all your Cartoon Pals show up."

unlabelledView post →Just rewatched Batman Begins This one gets overshadowed by Dark Knight a lot but I think that's unfair because this movie is still a really good Batman movie. Honestly there's stuff that I even like more in Begins than I do in Dark Knight like the city of Gotham and even how Batman is portrayed

unlabelledView post →Watching Batman Begins Mentally placing myself back in 2005, the tonal shift of this movie must have gone CRAZY after Batman & Robin in 1997. Like total night and day.
unlabelledView post →Now... I'm not saying anabolic steroids were not used... but... Christian Bale lost 60lbs, down to a weight of 120lbs, to perform as the quite gaunt main character of The Machinist. The next movie he did was Batman Begins. He... gained 100lbs, of muscle... in ... somewhere between 6 months and a year. Steroids or not, he had an insane workout routine, and gaining 100lbs of muscle in under a year is... also fucking insane, as in, it probably should have killed him.

unlabelledView post →Movies made around 2005 - 2008 are objectively old movies, theyre 20 years old at this point. But if youre watching Batman Begins, lets say, it doesnt look as old as a film from the 90s, like Con Air. Movies stopped aging visually at some point.
unlabelledView post →Oh hey, hi! It’s #LetterboxdFriday! Here’s my #LastFourWatched: I actually knocked 4 off of my Film Bro list this week, but of these 3, Downfall was the hardest watch. Batman Begins pales to The Dark Knight. Highlight of the week was Spider-Man. I cried a lot. Follow me here: boxd.it/aIuRD
unlabelledView post →Going to try and rewatch a bunch of Nolan movies this week starting with BATMAN BEGINS. I know a lot of movie people on here don't like him but I vibe with his stuff pretty hard.
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins is a great Batman movie. It also has wonderful use of miniature effects by Steve Begg, who assisted Derek Meddings on 1989s Batman. Both had begun their careers with Gerry Anderson. It was a treat watching the elaborate train crash on the big screen.
unlabelledView post →We’re watching a Netflix movie from last year called Havoc. Stars Tom Hardy and a host of other big names. My Mijy, with the observation of the week, said “It’s a Christopher Nolan Batman movie without the Batman” AND IT FUCKING IS! It’s like a prequel to Batman Begins, when Gotham was total shit.
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins had been a reasonable hit, that the first Batman movie with the Joker in it in nearly a quarter century did so much more explains a lot of the choices made by DC going forward.
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins is christmas movie fuck it
unlabelledView post →Happy 20 year anniversary to the one that brought Batman back on the big screen after an 8 year hiatus & also started one of the best movie trilogies ever. BATMAN BEGINS
unlabelledView post →I don't hate "character repeats a thing another character told them earlier to show how far we've come" as a writing thing but every time I watch Batman Begins, I like that movie less because by volume 70% of the script is characters repeating lines to the person who said it.
unlabelledView post →fascinating to think of the state of Batman as a film franchise in the years leading up to Batman Begins. watching a Siskel and Ebert for the Mask of Zorro where they compare it to Batman and Siskel remarks "well I don't think anyone's touching Batman for a good long while"
unlabelledView post →Wish I could remember who, but some critic recommended the car chase in Batman Begins as a "good time to go to the Bat-Room," and I just think we should direct high-ticket resources to restoring film criticism as a viable profession.
unlabelledView post →I don't think the WB of today would greenlight Batman Begins. There's so much character building and, for lack of a better term, talking. This movie is so precise.
unlabelledView post →I wrote a thing about movies I feel like avoid this (very common!) trap - Babe, the Lego Movie, and Batman Begins
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins is a 20-year-old movie, but it hasn't aged a day. I think it's just as good as The Dark Knight.
unlabelledView post →If I did the movie thing you’d realize what a boor I am because it’d run the gamut from like Batman Forever to Batman Begins
unlabelledView post →Batman Begins shows this well. There are 3 villains in that movie. A lot of superhero movies fail spectacularly with too many bad guys (looking at you, Spider-Man 3), but Batman Begins is so carefully planned that it all fits together.
