unlabelledView post →Asking because I just binged the recent "Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight" on Netflix and thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember seeing the comic as a kid in the 90s when visiting a British friend (living in the US), but never read any of them. I kind of want to check them out now.
unlabelledView post →I wish that Americans embraced Tintin and Asterix. The 2011 Tintin movie by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight would had a great chance to make them popular and more well known in America and show them that there's other European comics besides The Smurfs.
unlabelledView post →music on whose vibes i want to run pnp that i haven't been able to fit into a game take yet -the Asterix & Obelix VS Caesar movie OST (historical, celtic, hype, whimsical) -the Mario & Luigi RPGs OST (very whimsical, dark & upbeat) -the inFAMOUS Second Son OST (modern, american, kinda smokestack-y)

unlabelledView post →Asterix & Obelix doesn't work as a live action movie imo, but you can still do much better than that stinker...
unlabelledView post →Yup... and my tradition for a few years now is watching Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra movie on new years so I end up crying during it sometimes lmao

unlabelledView post →I think that France could handle The Smurfs movie better than Hollywood as Netflix exclusive movie by the same crew behind Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight. France knows how to adapt European comics well than America.
unlabelledView post →Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002, Film) As a kid, Asterix and Cleopatra was one of our favourite French comic books. Despite this we never watched the live action adaptation until now. It’s solid fun, if not quite as good as the source material or the 1968 animated adaptation. 7/10
unlabelledView post →I watched Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight -miniseries Animation was good as always like in previos two movies. It has some elements from 1989 movie but mostly goes for it's own way. Couple modern jokes were pretty good few of them were kinda meh. #AsterixAndObelix #Asterix #Obelix #TheBigFight
unlabelledView post →My face when I realized the the new Asterix & Obelix animation is not a movie but a series. ☺️💖
unlabelledView post →70) Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002) a daring piece of film that begs the question: did asterix have hoes

unlabelledView post →I'm still holding out for a live-action Hollywood Lucky Luke (the other big Franco-Belgian comic alongside Tintin and Asterix & Obelix) film or TV series. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., as almost a spiritual adaptation of Lucky Luke, is the closest thing the States has gotten to that.
unlabelledView post →Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (Alain Chabat, 2002; Pathé) - 9/10 This movie actually peaked with the I Feel Good construction dance. It's so campy and silly over-the-top yet even so hilarious that faithfully follows the Asterix comics
unlabelledView post →Introduced a friend to Asterix & Obelix for movie night. They loved it.
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching Astérix & Obélix Contre César (Asterix & Obelix Vs. Cesar) (1999).
unlabelledView post →Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight. Not a movie, but rather a miniseries(though yes, there are movies in this same style).
unlabelledView post →SVT just told the movie Asterix & Obelix starts right after the grand final of ESC, lol?! #Eurovision
unlabelledView post →My hot take is that "Asterix & Obelix meet the Basilix" would have been a much more enjoyable film if they had casted Gérard Depardieu for the role of Eliezer Yudkowsky,
unlabelledView post →I particularly love the second live-action movie. They did an excellent modern adaptation of the book with tons of new funny visual slapstick gags and jokes Asterix & Obelix must be rather popular here in Denmark cause from what I can tell we are the only ones who got a dub youtu.be/XlhihCd6qtw

unlabelledView post →I really adored this series, I have not read all of the comics but grew up with some albums and the earlier 2D movies but I feel that this one is very underrated (' Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight ' is available on Netflix and not to be confused with the comic album or the 1989 animated movie)

unlabelledView post →Best movie: Bit of a surprise but looking back, it seems that I only really rated 1 movie 5 stars, Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight. It was a return to form of the nostalgic Asterix cartoons I saw as a kid and they really updated it for a new audience and just screamed charm and care.

unlabelledView post →I watched Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight and loved it! While I did read plenty of the original comics, I never read The Big Fight, only saw the film adaptation. This version has a very different feel overall, perfect adaptation of the comics style while adding comedy through motion and music.
unlabelledView post →#49: Asterix & Obelix: Le Combat des Chefs Went into it thinking this was a movie, but it turned out to be a mini serie! I can't speak for the english dub but this was peak! A real visual delight with really REALLY good gags (that 59 joke had no rights to be this funny)

unlabelledView post →Asterix & Obelix movie on @netflix.com, the characters are voiced with British accents not French. Don't the creators of this film know in what country the classic comic A&O originated?
unlabelledView post →Somehow I thought this was going to be a movie. Not sure how well Asterix & Obelix work in show form, but I am excited about a new Asterix related animation Project nonetheless, especially with all those big names tied to it. Any info on how long one episode is set to go?
