unlabelledView post →The thing I love about Army of Darkness is the movie poster looks like this and you go, "Well, it cannot possibly deliver on the promise of this poster" AND THEN IT DOES
unlabelledView post →not sure that Army of Darkness is my favorite Evil Dead entry, but I do love this incredibly smart stupid movie
unlabelledView post →Sam Raimi wanted to make a comedy as his first feature, they only opted for horror instead because it was the most successful low-budget genre. a very calculated gambit. Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness hewed much closer to the kind of movie that Campbell, Raimi, Tapert et al really wanted to make.
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching Army of Darkness (1992, Raimi) Coz reciting not only Ash's, but EVERY line of the movie brings me peace. And I never even transcribed it to an audio cassette like its predecessor. If you've never seen it, enjoy this international poster by the recently departed genius Renato Casaro.

unlabelledView post →Finally kicking off october movies, watched Army of Darkness last night and it was a true live action looney tunes. Even if the middle sometimes got a little slow for me, you can really tell they had a blast making every moment. If a movie has a finale like this it's an automatic 10/10

unlabelledView post →Army of Darkness is BASICALLY a perfect movie. “Maybe not every little syllable” comes up a lot in my daily life.
unlabelledView post →It's a kind of perfect encapsulation of how the media industry works that Army of Darkness' original title was Medevil Dead and the studios nixed it, then Army of Darkness underperformed at the box office because a bunch of people didn't know it was an Evil Dead movie, GEE MAN

unlabelledView post →Me: Buying these Blu-Rays is in a way a kind of film preservation. Chotiner: And that’s why you felt compelled to own four different editions of “Army of Darkness”? unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Day #205 (screwed up the numbering again 😅) "Army of Darkness" (Sam Raimi/1992) More Evil Dead goodness. This time with even more emphasis on the Three Stooges inspired comedy, not a bad thing at all. Check it out!
unlabelledView post →Amazing special effects for 1963. Skeletons on film don't get any better until Army of Darkness
unlabelledView post →I think it’s extremely strange that some are saying the new Evil Dead film is too gory and mean spirited. Army of Darkness is the exception, not the rule.

unlabelledView post →Smile 2 is such an upgrade in film craft over 1. I will always pick Army of Darkness over Evil Dead 1. Gremlins is a GOAT Christmas Horror movie, but Gremlins 2 is bananas.

unlabelledView post →Army of Darkness (In Theaters): I'm probably going to watch this several more times before the month is over (hopefully), but they were screening it nearby and knew I had to go. Probably the most fun anyone has ever had with prop skeletons in a film!

unlabelledView post →WOW!! What a goofy, cheesy ride! Just when I thought Evil Dead 2 was campy, Sam Raimi said “hold my mead” for Army of Darkness. I really enjoyed this silly film and totally saw the true birth of one-liner Ash we have come to love. Definitely recommendable for fun!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5

unlabelledView post →Evil Dead, at least for me. I enjoyed the first movies but absolutely love Army of Darkness. The James Bond franchise gets better over time arguably. It has ups and downs, but I definitely wouldn't say it's downward trend overall. Mad Max.

unlabelledView post →The problem with so many modern Evil Dead movies is they try too hard to just remake the first Evil Dead which was a outright horror film. Instead they need to take more from 2/Army of Darkness and embrace the fun of being a human Daffy Duck stuck in a horror movie
