positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Singleplayer map very confusing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000 is a reminder of when FPS games were fast, brutal, and absolutely unforgiving. It’s rough around the edges today, sure — but the atmosphere, the tension, and the sheer identity of each campaign still hit harder than most modern shooters. Playing as the Marine is pure survival horror: motion tracker beeping, lights flickering, and every corridor screaming “you’re already dead.” The Alien campaign is a chaotic power fantasy — fast, disorienting, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game if you are an AVP fan and enjoy really old games with no direction or helper systems. This game has three campaigns as usual: Marine, Xenomorph, and Yautja. Marine : Medium-length campaign with good horror ambience. Seizure simulator. Unlimited Xenomorph spawns. Xenomorph | Alien : Short but enjoyable campaign Speedster simulator, but fun. Shadow are your best friend. Yautja | Predator : Long campaign with puzzle solving and unlimited…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i still get viscerally motion sick playing xenos in this game 10/10 the true experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the absolute best Aliens vs. Predator game that was ever made. Anyone who says otherwise is usually just someone who can't wrap their head around the difficulty level. It's a survival horror experience that faithfully recreates the environments and scenarios of the movies, and keeps you on edge constantly by making you feel vulnerable, and the enemies powerful. It's a very hard and fast game, where you can die very quickly, and the environment works against you, but that is what makes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can we get the second one?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember downloading the marine demo from Gamespy as a kid back in '99. When the Gold edition launched in a massive cardboard box with an included strategy guide, I remember buying it from Currys before running home and eagerly installing it. Played with friends doing co-op skirmish over direct dial-up (having a modem ring your friend's modem directly) and eventually ended up joining a PvP clan online. The marine campaign was absolutely terrifying but it was so cool being able to stalk and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel bad because I really wanted to like this so much but personally I just couldn't stand playing it. I just feel like every time you press a key, you are already half way across the map. Also the hit boxes for the enemies are a nightmare. Even when playing training mode, the AI still whooping you bad. Damn shame really.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was an absolute banger 25 years ago. Hell, it still is. Few things beat the urgent beep of the motion detector or the fear of being chased by a Xenoborg or a face hugger. Good days, good days.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is both too bright and not bright enough at the same time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong, this is a classic, but It's too old, the campaign can be pretty repetitive, rage inducing, and personally, with the predator, quite boring. The only good reason I could recommend this game is if you have nostalgia for It or if you are a completionist like myself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a classic. This has a very clean look to it, hard to describe. Not clean as in, not crisp visuals necessarily, it just looks "clean". Not necessarily lacking in any excess though, given its age. I appreciate the graphical style that titles like this convey. It probably looked superior compared to almost anything on console back in those days. Yeah, add Aliens vs Predator 2 on Steam. Do it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still to this day this is the best Aliens and/or Predator game ever released and it still kicks ass and the game play mechanics do not feel dated at all. If you somehow have never played this true classic FPS then you still really should do just that. The atmosphere and the tempo of the game are just so well balanced! A lot of developers of FPS games should perhaps look at this timeless classic FPS. Alien Isolation was scary as hell and really good but this game is a lot more fast action, a lot…

unlabelledView post →Who made this and why is it this good, reminds me of quake 2, worth the 5 dollars i spent, you can play as xenomorph or predator, i dont care about the marine bcz it being another 1 man army clone, yet i absolutely love playing as a predator or a xenomorph. as xenomorph, you can climb on walls, and can be super fast, yet as predator you have 3 types of vision, 4 weapons one of which heals you back fully, and invisibility, which doesnt work sometimes. i love this because i love the alien films,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love retro FPS games and Alien, so I'm surprised I didn't enjoy this. Manged just under 1.5 hours before tapping out due to everything feeling dated in frustrating ways - unsatisfying controls, minimal story, lack of signposting to the point where levels take 4x longer to complete than necessary due to endless backtracking, button hunting and trying to figure out which way is forward. I do have some tolerance for dated and clunky games, but this particular style where you get lost every few…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not a bad game at all but for someone who doesn't have a lot of time outside of my days off to play video games I just couldn't get into it. I'm into retro gaming and I've basically played video games from the 90s and 2000s for most of my life but I just couldn't get into this one. I'm sure people with a lot of free time on their hands will enjoy this but with my limited time its a hard pass for me, If you're someone like me who just wants to sit down and have some fun after a long…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like AvP2. Only goofier.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fantastic game for the time, i remember playing this as a kid and didn't knew crap on where to go, to this day i still don't know where to go. the controls are super janky but it is still fun to play, i love Xenomorph and the Yautja (predator), they are still one of my favorite Aliens design!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A poor effort to bring back one of the best games of 2000. The control input will either be swallowed, or simply stop responding. If the Alien gets shot by a minigun Marine, the game will crash to desktop. This re-release has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. During all this time, the game hasn't even been patched up, and devs apparently don't care. Your best bet will be to find the original CD version.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This port is unplayable and doesn't work well (or for me, at all) on modern systems. If you *can* get it to run there are numerous major bugs with this version they refused to ever fix and require mods.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one takes me back, A younger me played the hell out of this game pre-steam. Playing the Alien is fun, the wall crawling mechanic was revolutionary 25 years ago, but is a little clunky by today's standards. It is a lot of fun to use that mobility paired with aggression to kill groups of human NPCs before they can react. Playing the predator is difficult but manageable, although I felt like his cloaking mechanic should have fooled the enemies a little. But playing the marine? Terrifying.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game, in which you can play as three species, with different campaigns and gameplay. But even more fun is the survival mode. Lots of maps, some of which remind of the movies, hordes of aliens of all kinds. This mode is fun as single-player, but also can be played in co-op, which we enjoyed quite a lot with the friend. And there's deathmatch, of course. It's okay-ish. Fast-paced, very simple. No bots in this mode, though. It's better than the latest AvP game in everything, except…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The single player level design is actually pretty great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the level design makes me wonder why i installed the game in the first place
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I still enjoy this game till this day especially in multiplayer! I Love how creepy the environment is. They did a good job in capturing the aesthetics of horror.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great. I recommend checking out AvPx Enhanced to resolve some mouse issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me it's a nostalgic walk through memory lane, but even without my nostalgia glasses, I'm still utterly impressed with the level design and atmosphere on display with this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic game, I like to revisit how games looked like and were in the past, I like the graphics and aesthetics similar to this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000, developed and published by Rebellion, is a remastered version of the original 1999 sci-fi horror shooter that sought to combine three of cinema’s most iconic species into one of the most distinct and atmospheric first-person shooters ever made. It stands as both a technical achievement of its time and a fascinating relic of late-’90s game design, where immersion and tension were achieved not through cinematic spectacle, but through atmosphere, sound, and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holds up and holds up well. As a predator, you really FEEL like a walking stealth tank. As an alien, you really FEEL like the perfect hybrid between big cat and meth-powered blender. As a Marine, you really FEEL the piss running down your leg.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →False advertising. This game has nothing to do about a group of illegal immigrant girls fighting a child molester.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the first games, if not the first game, I ever played on PC. My father's PC as a wee lad. I cannot believe I found it on Steam. This is why Steam is the best. This game used to scare the sh$t out of me and you know what? it still does. This game really hits home!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless you want to venture away from the comfort and safety of steam for the fabled AvP2, you have two options if you are an AVP fan: AVP 2010 and AVP classic 2000. Iv'e already reviewed the former and now I want to review the later, but for quick context, AvP 2010 was a rushed game that only has quality graphics to save it's grace. It had complicated controls, insulting incentives, and a abysmal multiplayer scene. The campaigns are nice and atmospheric, but they are short lived. AVP classic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game barely functions on modern computers
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game was just confusing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly immersive, great enemy AI, cool music and gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The old game that never really is boring. Playing it on the ZorinOS Linux and it works like a charm. This game has Quest where you can play missions or you can choose quick matches instant action with endless enemies as Predator or Human. There is also Online option where you play Online but I did not try out that yet. This game can be played on very old and weak machines. I bought it purely because of Instant action.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolute gold, one of the most terrifying fps's you'll ever play. Still entirely playable 26 years later!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This steam port is horrible!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm old school, too old for the new stuff, I leave that to my 4 sons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that was enjoyable 20 years ago but has aged very poorly. I still recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Aliens vs Predator is a very versatile and special game. You can be a marine, an alien or a predator and each race is unique and has its own mechanics that the others don't. The marine campaign plays like a classic horror game with limited equipment and ammo, little to no lighting with only a few flares available to you, and the dreaded radar that detects anything that moves and makes you believe an enemy is coming at you at lightning speed. The predator campaign is like a power trip…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played this game since its original release. The skirmish part of the game is the best. Would jam this for hours with my Dad over network.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun game, wish the second was on here as well though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The unfortunate reality is that even if it was nice reliving childhood for a bit, since I still remember the first levels of the marine and predator campaign even after all these years. It soon became clear why I do remember only the first levels. The good: The game plays and looks good for the release date. Playing as marine and predator has some fun moments. The slowly flying head when using predator's speargun is funny. The bad: Absolutely abysmal game design. The font is too small…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A true classic not the best not worst but a all around great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of Fun! Each game mode is unique and interesting. The Space Marine ones are by far the scariest! honestly maybe better to wait until its on sale as far as the price goes, but if you got a extra few bucks go ahead
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic Game for what it is. This was a childhood game that kept me up at night! I enjoyed coming back to it. Some weird stuff did happen during my play through. Weird Glitches that would not sync to complete levels. Enemies surviving some of the oddest things. Still a blast. For anyone that likes the classic films this would be a treat!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is entertaining but it has some flaws: - The objectives are clear but it is sometimes extremely hard to know how to complete them since there is nothing to guide you, for instance, the objective says, enter the laboratory, but it doesn't say how, turns out you have to destroy a switch set in a random place in the area - The saving system, I don't know whether I misunderstood but it seems there is a limit of number of saves you can do and, as I understood, there is no overwriting an…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best PC games if not the best. Not only of the last millennium but if the beginning of this one. It came out before any avp movie and it's better than any avp movie. Jesusavesouls
