Not good, per se, but amazing. Alien-human hybrids, pervy scientists, Ron Pearlman is there. Sigourney Weaver crawls around on the ground. Movie magic.
positive · AI labelView post →Watching Alien Resurrection (a movie set in year 2381) and the doctor uses a gonioscopy lens (a mirror designed to press against the eye to examine anterior chamber angle) as some sort of cross cover examination tool (a technique to evaluate eye muscles) and I have nobody to talk to about this.
neutral · AI labelView post →While Alien: Resurrection is the worst movie in the franchise “what if you got xenomorph blood and used it to dunk?” is a more riveting question about man’s place in the universe than anything in Prometheus.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching Alien Resurrection as my latest 10-minutes-at-a-time viewing. It's wild to watch a movie filled with Joss Whedon dialogue from a time before that was the Hollywood default, so nobody knows how to deliver it.
neutral · AI labelView post →Earth, man. What a shithole. Watching the movie Alien Resurrection.

neutral · AI labelView post →These are the full set that Ron Cobb designed for the original film. They may have added more in the movies since then? (Last one I watched was Alien Resurrection.)
neutral · AI labelView post →Dan Hedaya flat out thinks he’s in a comedy in this grim ass Alien movie, I love it, he plays it like National Lampoons Alien Resurrection
positive · AI labelView post →Any movie you watch on Christmas is a Christmas movie, stop doing this to yourselves. Alien Resurrection is a Christmas movie
neutral · AI labelView post →This apotheosis of this Alien-wise was Alien Resurrection which is not good but has the 30 weirdest things in any alien movie happening in it where some people seem to have been told it’s an Alien movie and some others think it’s a Escape from New York movie and others were told “you are Daffy Duck”
neutral · AI labelView post →If you like this image let me tell you about a little movie called Alien: Resurrection
neutral · AI labelView post →I don’t disagree with anyone saying they hate Alien Resurrection but I will take a movie that tips into complete silliness much more than Alien Covenant which couldn’t even have fun with Michael Fassbender playing a southern robot who plays the flute
positive · AI labelView post →I’m watching Alien Resurrection for the first time in two decades. I’m enjoying it. It’s a whole other vibe from the first three, and it’s clunky, but the cast is amazing and it’s all big fun. Also, Michael Wincott speaks words, which is the only requirement I have to like a movie.
positive · AI labelView post →turns out that the quote about the control scheme isn't even the funniest-in-hindsight quote from that Gamespot review of Alien Resurrection for PS1
neutral · AI labelView post →We all assumed that because Alien Resurrection only had one movie that dealt with this that Metroid would eventually move on too, BUT YOU ALL FORGOT ABOUT ALIEN EARTH MUAHAHAHA
neutral · AI labelView post →Yeah, Alien Resurrection has... issues. But it's not Alien³, so I give it points for that. Also, if you have a movie that's essentially titled Alien Cubed and you *don't* have the alien crushed into a literal cube, then what the hell are you actually doing?
neutral · AI labelView post →3) While ALIEN: RESURRECTION (1997) is not a good movie, the *comic adaptation* of it is Good, Actually
neutral · AI labelView post →Reminder that Alien Resurrection is a terrible film that you should still watch if you want to see Sigourney Weaver lezdom Winona Ryder
negative · AI labelView post →A revisit of an old image, giving it an illustrated look. #Lightwave3d render of Sean Kennedy's model. The Betty from Alien Resurrection, yeah the movie kinda disappointed but the designs were great and it had it's moments. #Scifi #ScifiArt
neutral · AI labelView post →I have re-watched ALIEN RESURRECTION. Whedon's quippy dialogue doesn't really work in an ALIEN movie, and the human/alien hybrid at the end is too awkward and goofy to be what the film needs it to be. But other than that? Still a fantastic piece of cinema.
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm not saying that Alien Resurrection is a good movie, but I *am* saying that it's camp.
neutral · AI labelView post →ALIEN: Resurrection actually commits to the lab full of discarded mutants trope. Plenty of other movies try it - hi Jurassic Park III - but don’t really commit to it. This movie takes the time, and it is as distressing as it should be.
positive · AI labelView post →Alien: Resurrection is not a GOOD movie but it is a movie in which Sigourney Weaver touches new heights of Unsettlingly Hot.
neutral · AI labelView post →rewatching Alien Resurrection, a movie I remember being Good and Fun Actually
positive · AI labelView post →Alien: Resurrection is a movie that deserves a second evaluation. There's a lot of schlock goodness to enjoy.
positive · AI labelView post →If you cut Alien Resurrection down to like 30 or 40 minutes you'd probably have a good movie. It has lots of good scenes and then it becomes the most boring movie ever in the downtime between them.
neutral · AI labelView post →Alien is a better horror film. Aliens is a better sci-fi film. Alien 3 is better than it gets credit for. Alien Resurrection.... is also a movie in the franchise. Ripley is a badass. That is all.
neutral · AI labelView post →Movie thoughts for the week: - WAIT UNTIL DARK really nails the final act - Ethan’s realization scene in M:I is the worst scene in the series - ALIEN3 Assembly Cut? Slightly better than theatrical - ALIEN: RESURRECTION fails, but in a weird & cool way #LetterboxdFriday #Filmsky #LastFourWatched
neutral · AI labelView post →Of the original 4 Alien movies, I would rank this just behind the original, and I am 100% sincere about that. Alien: Resurrection is a good movie that is good on purpose.
positive · AI labelView post →the time of year to remind ourselves and each-other that Alien: Resurrection is a Thanksgiving movie
neutral · AI labelView post →Alien: Resurrection is best film in the franchise
unlabelledView post →[Discussion Thread] Alien: Romulus (2024) - What did you think? [Spoilers]. As a huge Alien fan, I have come away from tonight's screening actually angry. The sets and practical effects were fantastic, but you barely saw the aliens until the climax to the mid-section of the film. Bringing back Ian Holm as Rook took some getting used to, especially as some of those shots were off. It seemed to get better as the film progressed. I already have a theory on that one. The credits listed the crew…
unlabelledView post →Alien Resurrection is an adventure. It’s almost a heist movie but ultimately it owes a lot of its DNA to movies like The Poseidon Adventure. Plucky band of misfits stuck on a doomed ship. The set pieces are fun. The cast are great. Brad Dourif ffs. 6/
unlabelledView post →My other favorite is Sigourney Weaver making the basketball shot in Alien Resurrection, probably the only good thing that came out of that movie. youtu.be/a3u4uDwLzNI?...

unlabelledView post →I'll just say it: ALIEN RESURRECTION is a keystone awakening movie for me. Say what you want about that flick, but these two are scorching hot together in it. Absolute icons.
unlabelledView post →Finished Alien Resurrection. Its a complete fucking mess of a movie but i loved it. It's 90s schlock in the best way and I had so much fun watching it. The shit with the Newborn was the highlight, it genuinely freaked me out
unlabelledView post →Watched ALIEN RESURRECTION again this afternoon. It’s not the best #Alien film & the ending could be better, but it’s still lots of fun & looks fabulous, with some nice sequences. Plus, it’s got a whole of load of great *ideas*. Lovely stuff! #AlienResurrection #Xenomorph

unlabelledView post →Extremely EXTREMELY likely. Honestly my favourite movie by this dude is Alien Resurrection, and that's the one everyone else hates lol
unlabelledView post →Watching "Alien: Romulus" again, and although it's by no means a great movie, the fact it finally gets back to the horror of the first Alien movie is very welcome. (The monster at the end is a bit shit though. Not as bad as the utterly laughable one from Alien: Resurrection" though.)
unlabelledView post →For years I bought Whedon’s view that Jeunet ruined ALIEN RESURRECTION & then I read the 1st draft…& it’s basically the film. Danny Boyle or WS Anderson would’ve made a similar movie I don’t think Jeunet was right for the Alien series. But his Gallic playfulness brightens what there is
unlabelledView post →People hate on Alien Resurrection a lot but I enjoyed it at the time when it came out and I think it holds up as a nice action sci-fi film.
unlabelledView post →6. Alien Resurrection was the last good Alien movie, everything since has been mid at best (Prometheus) and garbage trash otherwise (Covenant, Romulus)
unlabelledView post →Found this book in a box I don’t even remember buying lol! Alien resurrection script book. Reads like the script to the movie! NEAT #alienresurrection #alien #aliens #scifi

I know (almost) all there is to know.
unlabelledView post →I love that the ALIEN franchise - by this I mean the first four pre-Prometheus entries - used different film genres as their framework: Alien - Haunted House Aliens - Space Marines Alien 3 - Prison Movie Alien Resurrection - The Poseidon Adventure
unlabelledView post →I would argue that while the greatest TTRPG movie ever is actually Alien Resurrection, there IS a movie which captures everything Ravenloft is all about, and it's Van Helsing
unlabelledView post →Alien Resurrection is a weird-ass movie.
unlabelledView post →Alien: Resurrection is the only film in the franchise to make me feel absolutely terrible for one of the aliens
unlabelledView post →Share a horror movie that begins with the letter "A" 🎥🖤 Alien Resurrection I just read Michael Jan Friedman's sequel novel Original Sin and it was wild; it sets up a crazy canon involving the Engineers and the continuing xeno adventures of Ripley 8, Call, and the Betty crew.
