AIPD review: Overview AIPD is a rogue-like shoot-em-up game in which you have to survive waves of ever more intimidating enemies to make the game a whole lot more difficult on yourself and select a challenge. These include things such as: enemy powers upgraded, forever decreasing multiplier, you lose…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks really pretty, has nice sound effects, it's controls are nice with great input, it has somewhat of a high replay value with a bunch of similar modes, and with a single map (from what i've seen) but what's really good about this game aside from what I've already mentioned is that you keeps driving you to make the next level harder and more challenging until you fail, once you fail you unlock new weapons and mods and then start again, trying to further your score even higher with each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You are in a circular arena and shoot waves over waves of enemies while you can move to a different direction than you shoot. After each stage you can choose one of two randomly chosen modifiers (there are a lot in total!) making it more challenging and you can even build your own difficulty with them in a free mode. In contrast to other games like this, it never feels unfair. It is always just you not being fast or smart enough and every time you get hit or lose the game, you're very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I also covered this game on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlg6Q5EvjOU AIPD is an arena based shmup that's tailored to provide a specific kind of score attack experience. There are only 15 waves, a few types of enemies, one boss, one life and a big health bar. Your goal is to get to the end with as high a score as possible, that's it. In terms of raw content, some might find this lacking and I can't blame you if that's so. However, if you are a fan of score attack and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AIPD is one of those "just another round" titles where you cant stop playing. Its a kind of "Rogue Like Space Shooter". You fight, you gain Points, Points unlock new awesome weapons and Upgrades. The core gameplay is very addictive and challenging. There are a lot of additional game modes (millions of them???), which makes the game very replayable. AIPD is very well done and polished. The graphics are just awesome. I like the stylish blue and red ‘Tron-like’ graphics and its fast paced,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was pretty fun, but only for about an hour. Unlocks took a bit too long to unlock. I was already bored of my existing weapons by the time I got the new ones. The game lacks any real ability to bring yourself back from poor performance so it misses out on the rush of a comeback that games like Crawl do so well. Surviving a level was always overshadowed by "well now my health is low for the next level." The sheer amount of enemies can be a little overwhelming so I always ended up…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AIPD is a fun arcade-like shooter game that benefits more from playing the game with local friends. The gameplay is straight forward enough for players to into the game quick while having a fair amount of customizing options to make each game session different. The weapons and mods you unlock have different strengths/weaknesses, allow players to try out different methods on how to play throught the various levels. Each time you beat a level, you must choose a challenge which will carry over…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid little twin-stick shooter that has a bit of replaybility. Visually it looks great, the controls and tight, and the weapon options on the ships come in a pretty good variety. That said there's not much passed the basic gameplay cycle, so what you see after the first few levels is what you get for the game. Luckily there's a few modes of play to spice things up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not your typical twin stick shooter guy. But this game got me hooked. The ever increasing challenge from the modifiers is incredibly addicting and will suck you in in no time! I can only recommend this game if you want to have some quick dirty fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best twin stick shooters I've played in a long time! It has a really cool art style, energizing music and fast-paced gameplay action. There are actually a lot of things to discover: What does each power-up do? What weapons and ship mods work well together? How do you adapt to the various challenges you have to choose between the waves? I also bought it on PS4 where it also runs amazingly smooth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a good game and it's even better when you play it with friends. if you don't have any, this game alone is reason to get some. you navigate your ship in a circular arena and fight waves of enemies. coupled with it's awesome music this game is quite addictive! this will keep me busy for quite some time :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AIPD, eh? Stands for "Artificial Intelligence Police Department." Sounds like a right laugh, if you ask me. But hey, who am I to judge? It's not like I'm the next Stephen Hawking or anything. Anyway, this game is supposed to be a "twin-stick, rogue-like shoot-'em-up." Fancy words for a game where you run around in a circle, shooting at stuff. It's like a hamster on a wheel, but instead of a wheel, it's a game, and instead of a hamster, it's a bunch of muppets with controllers. The gameplay is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has nice graphics, but it's simply not fun. It's extremely repetitive, even for a bullet hell type of game, and controller support is mediocre. The menus use a virtual cursor mouse which is big red flag, and in game it simply doesn't feel right. You also need a mouse for the installation process. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Twin-Stick Shooter Arena, Similar to Geometry Wars https://youtu.be/b3YWpplyaLM + Non-stop intense action + Bright neon colorful graphics that are a delight to stare at + A variety of weapons and modifications + Variety of pick-ups / power-ups / abilities + 5 different game modes + Very challenging, and tests your limits of how far you can get without dying + Quite a few unique enemies that are pretty refreshing for this genre + Very high replayability - No way to regain health - It's a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is definitely fun to an extent. If you enjoy twin stick shooters, you'll probably be able to have some fun with this. It's not super good by any means, but is worth the price, especially on sale. The achievements are decently fun to get as well, although there is one achievement for getting 1 billion score across all games and is an unnecessarily grindy achievement.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SUMMARY: This is primarily a "MIXED" review, with a recommendation to buy the game only if it's on sale. AIPD is a relatively enjoyable twin-stick shooter that should appeal to anybody who liked Geometry Wars. However, it is not a perfect game, nor is it a long game. Additionally, there are numerous features that could stand to be improved. As a result, I really can't recommend the game at full (US $9.99) price--if you like twin-stick shooters, it might be worth it when it's 60-80% off.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/Gys-RrlYSTM Artificial Intelligence Police Department (AIPD) is quite simply put an absolute riot, sporting a plethora of game mode choices, bright radiating neon colours and great sound design (especially fond of the gun sounds). Simply put Blazing Badger takes a lot of ideas on how to make a twin stick shooter seem less vanilla and adds their own flavour, personality and character to the game. The options menu also doesn't disappoint having a great range of options…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome tron-like looking twinstick shooter! The modifiers you choose after each round keep it fresh, choose your poison I guess :) and all the unlockable weapons keep it varied for hours. And, local coop - who doesn't like local coop?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game did not hold my attention, as it was not enjoyable to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game when you have nothing else to do
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wholeheartedly support this videogame. I have appreciated potential audience to this notice about the extreme limitations of your simulation software, and why I am only infrequently active. I will occasionally play your Asteroids-tier simulation for a span of 10 minutes, to handle the random mobs. Officially, I am requesting AIPD groups for display, and I have awesome badges that I am not "really" permitted advertisement on my profile. I love the theme of this simulation-software, which for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=store.steampowered.com/app/390930/AIPD__Artificial_Intelligence_Police_Department/]AIPD is a fantastic little game with sadly not enough content to sustain enduring appeal. It looks and sounds remarkable, with very smooth and immediately enjoyable controls. The game shows a much more manageable pace and difficulty curve than many comparable titles, with arguably better visuals and gameplay. AIPD plays mostly as you would expect of a twin-stick shooter. Conserve your energy and move…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THis game is awesome pure and simple while there are things that could be improved IE probbally more unlocks: I have already finished unlocking everything and ive only played it for about 2 hrs but other than that rather small detail this game is definatly worth the price have yet to try multiplayer seems like it could be good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, way back when I purchased this game.. I logged in a total of 0.2 hours (12 mins.) and suddenly I get an error at start-up with a specific virus warning. I've tried the Steam fix and to install and re-install on multiple number of computers to the same futile result. Messaging the devs returned only silence.. and not only is it unplayable, but it's planting a virus.. WTF??!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just the kind of bullethell-ish twin stick action I can get behind with the right balance between challenge, pulse-pounding action, and booty blasting fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's highly addictive, quite customizable, fast paced, simple to play, quite hard to master Twin Stick shooter. Buy it whenever you can
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, just another round. I don't know what it is about some games that trigger that in me, but this hits the spot. Maybe it's the visual style. I like it. Or bigger guns...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/YPs0tQImeq4 A fun classic styled arcade shooter in design is similar to geometry wars if you like that asthetic, the music is great, and the gameplay is simple enough for hours of enjoyment. Though will say that it doesn't have as many modes of gameplay but the difficulty settings can make up for that. In all i do recommend this game also fairly cheap for a new indie game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nicely balanced twin stick shooter that gives plenty of reasons to come back and better your last attempt. Very pretty and high replayability, thumbs up from me!
