60 of 194 · most liked firstWhen the game came out, the VR scene was abuzz with hype and people were all playing. (I bought it on 2 platforms because I believed in this game and what it was aiming for) It felt like it was going to be the next big VR game, but then bugs started showing for players that caused crashes etc... The bugs stopped being addressed, no new content came out and the game was silently abandoned. It's still being sold now, despite not working for a large amount of players. I don't think the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the Fall — what can I say? It’s basically Left 4 Dead in VR, and I mean that in the best possible way. It captures both the strengths and some of the quirks of the original, but brings them into an immersive VR experience that’s hard to put down. What I like + + The multiple difficulty levels are great—you can collect a variety of items and upgrade or modify your weapons, which makes the grind genuinely fun and addictive. + There’s a solid selection of weapons, and while the current…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I barely even got to experience what this game has to offer, not because i didnt wanna play it. i enjoyed my time with it until i got soft locked on the first mission (this has been a problem for years apparently for years, only now it has become 100% guaranteed to happen) , i retried it multiple times AI team mates at first, then with real team mates (thank you for the free upgraded LMG) but it just appears the team has left this game in the gutter seeing as the last meaningful update was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of my friends gifted this to me, the gameplay itself is decent, however after we teamed up and got into our very first mission we had an issue at the end of the mission that made our guns stop working completely so figured maybe its a fluke and i googled in search of an quick fix to hopefully save our mission and instead found people saying this has been a problem for literal years and has been brought up directly to the development team in their own discord so knowing that they know this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay was fun but there is a gamebreaking bug where if a certain enemy hits you it breaks all weapon functionality making you have to forfeit your run. In a shooter game having a bug that completely disables your guns is unacceptable and the fact it has been in the game for years is embarrassing for a developer actively working on games. It is a shame because this game is otherwise really fun but ruined by something the devs don't seem to care to fix?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thought this would have a campaign like the arizona sunshine games but it's more like L4D type of level designs, also totally not solo player friendly especially if you don't play with bots, you die you restart from the start and some mobs can instant kill you even on the easiest difficulty, i'll maybe come back to it someday but i'm still disappointed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would be so much better if the character would shut the ♥♥♥♥ up. The gunplay is pretty good. The enemies are fun to kill and avoid.. BUT SHUT THE ♥♥♥♥ UP I DONT NEED TO HEAR EVERY TIME U GET A KILL IF THIS WAS REAL LIFE I DO NOT GIVE A ♥♥♥♥ ABOUT HOW U KILLED THEM PLEASE JUST SHUT UP AND CONCENTRATE ON GETTING MORE KILLS. This game is pretty fun tho ignoring the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ voice acting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this, there is a chance it wont work for you. the support does not reply to anything. (been more than 2 months now) would stay clear of vertigo for good to be honest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the recent negative reviews, went ahead and bought this game with 3 friends. No game breaking bugs so far. Lots of fun and definitely worth on sale!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is ruined by cheaters.... ofc not the game devs fault just a result of trifling lifeless souls who feel complete doing nothing My first hour in met a cheater, auto shotgun with infinite ammo and insane fire rate no recoil They give out weapons too, ofc because they swimming in currency.... another hour met 3 cheaters with god mode another 2 with normal movement speed in mutated run downtown if the devs need overall anticheat ideas reach out to me.. otnerwise play solo w ai or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really good, especially when you compare it to all the cash grab garbage out there like the vr Killing floor one Honestly surprised i never heard anyone talk about it -Its a lot like left 4 dead with how the maps play out and there's a decent amount. -Each map is a little more difficult than the last -On top of actual difficulty setting which makes thing more intense -Has good enemy variety, enemy spawn variety -Grenades/boosters you can find on the maps or buy in safe room -Can play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like a rail shooter without rails. This might be fine if you're after mindless fun, but this is not appetizing to me. Also, the player character constantly boasts and cracks wise without the courtesy of being funny, and you CANNOT turn it off. You can hide the radio chatter half of the conversation, but never your own character's flapping gums. I refuse to tolerate it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood in VR, but mostly Left 4 Dead. Really fun game and one of the better VR games I have played that includes a ton of shooting. You can level up and unlock more weapons and weapon attachments. Not as many players around now a days, but you can still find people since it's Crossplay. If you play VR and like zombie shooters I definitely recommend checking this out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is RIDICULOUSLY broken. There are game breaking bugs in this game that are still plaguing this game. Imagine you have just finished a hard mission by the skin of your teeth only for the game to place you outside the screen where you need to continue to gain the rewards. From an indie dev this would be forgivable but from a developer that's been in the industry for YEARS now this is inexcusable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We hit a game breaking bug in the first mission. Turns out if a certain boss enemy spawns at the missions end, the players guns cease being able to fire, and you can't shoot the obstacles required to open the final path. Apparently this bug has existed in the game for a couple years at least and has never been patched. And this is just one of MANY similar bugs. Its unfortunate because there is the bones of a halfway decent and fun game here, but its so buggy and unpolished that its actually…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the games too buggy dont buy it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Contains game-breaking bugs that consistently appear. I've tried the first mission 3 times and each time my guns simply refuse to shoot and softlock me in the mission, quitting forfeits rewards so I am unable to continue playing the game. Totally unacceptable to have such a overt and game-breaking bug in the very first mission. Leaving this review to remind myself of this developer's lethargy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got to end of first round, nothing spawned leaving me stuck. Sorry but I don't have time for this level of buggyness
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So it's basically Left 4 Dead in VR. If you L4D and VR, you should check out this game. I've not encountered any of the game breaking bugs that other people have reported, so I can't speak one way or another about those. At this point there aren't many people playing (that I've seen), so the hub section is fairly empty. Fortunately the bots are pretty good, making it easy to play solo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I completed the campaign? You get a cutscene for the first few missions, then suddenly the story just... stops. I don't know if it was a bug, but I had no idea why my character was still going out and fighting zombies after saving the Radio on the Tower. I didn't even get a congratulations or anything after beating the final level, just voted back to the hub where none of the NPCs cared where I'd been. Whether it was a bug or just lack of content, I hope this gets fixed. The game runs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is okay but has game breaking bugs that make it an unplayable mess. Sadly the bugs are well known and have been a problem for years so there is little chance the development team wakes up and fixes them any time soon or at all would spend your money else where.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Entirely broken, couldn't finish even 1 level before the game broke (guns stopped firing when the trigger was pulled, ammo count was going down, but no bullets were actually fired)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It plays a lot like left 4 dead but its vr. Its been sitting in my library forever and Im glad I finally started playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Encountered a bug where after getting shot by a Zombie my gun no longer functioned and was unable to progress through the mission.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game good mechanics, good gameplay, good gunplay. However controllers lose tracking regularly. The controllers still work in the other apps and menus, just not in the game. Played from Quest 3. Edit: I figured out a fix, turn off hand/body tracking on the quest 3. It's under settings and scroll way down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →L4d in Vr!!Too bad the game is dead has too many bugs …etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Closest thing to L4D in VR. The ability to collect and upgrade weapons is a nice addition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor index controller support. Why is the 'grab gun' button the same as 'grab charging handle'. This leads to frustrating game play especially in the heat of the moment. Separating these inputs would make a game a world of difference better. I DON'T WANT TO GRAB THE GUN I WANT TO CHAMBER MY ROUND!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the Fall: Surviving the Apocalypse with More Zombies and Less “Help” Than You Expected Alright, so you thought the zombie apocalypse would be all “Let’s grab some guns and save the world,” but let’s be honest After the Fall isn’t about saving anyone. It’s about surviving. And by surviving, I mean barely making it through with half your squad screaming for help, while the other half gets eaten by terrifying mutant zombies that have somehow figured out how to jump, climb, and apparently…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the game alot, glad they changed it to smart loot. Would be nice to see some new stuff, grinded out everything awhile back.. but for sure a great game to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was expecting something very janky, judging by the recent Vertigo Games game I played Arizona Sunshine remake. But surprisingly, I got a decent Left 4 Dead-style horde game with elements of an extraction shooter. The guns feel powerful, the gore is satisfying, it’s fairly well optimized, reloading is fun, and overall the game feels polished. the bad: Can’t put your primary weapon on your back. Your head turns with your whole body when trying to reach for your gun. No way to disable those…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer I played the entire game on 2 out of 5 difficulty levels (veteran), entirely solo (more in cons). TL;DR It's disappointing. Not because it's a bad game per-se - but because it could have been so much better if only devs actually made it reasonable to solo play. The biggest issue of this title is that is balanced around co-op, but you won't be able to find any games and those you do find - will kick you. Apparently even near the end of the map for no reason. It could have been so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →By all accounts, it looks like this game is effectively abandoned by the devs. Rampant bugs remain unpatched throughout: routine party invite failures, public lobbies taking advantage of currency cheats, guns sometimes not shooting any bullets at all, and one memorable bug where the zombies stood around peacefully and did nothing as we ran around shooting them. But even if the bugs weren't so pervasive, the game just isn't fun after a certain point. By the higher difficulties, all zombies…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love Left 4 Dead, Zombies or VR Shooters this is a game you should add to your Collection 10/10 Will definitely suggest to friends or people I meet
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the gameplay is good and reminds of left 4 dead, fun shooting, nice weapons, enough guns to give a variety. but the game has been out for a while and the devs have clearly abandoned the game, a special infected with an lmg has been glitched FOREVER if it hits you, your glitched, cant shoot your guns and its game over which makes a game that when you die you loose everything you had collected in the level enraging. the gun play is fun, its co-op, and it has plenty to love but the developers are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game softlocked for a friend and myself, couldn't progress past the halfway point of the first mission :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the fall is by design, not amazing, it feels like on of those arcade games where you geab a gun and shoot at a screen. but somehow... if you grab a friend or two (from an experienced vr player) its some of the most fun you can have. its gorey, it'll hit you with ridiculous swarms, its perfect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game. abandoned by the devs sadly. don't play skid row solo, jimmy's ai will bug out. revolver is the best sidearm. you can upgrade your guns. kinda like vr l4d2 with itty bitty little bit of payday 2 in it. uhhh the lever action rifle is rare and basically just a semi-auto rifle. buy it if you want mindless fun for a few hours. better with friends though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely loathe this style of game. Loading into a main hub to choose what mission you are gonna play and replay those missions to gain gear. Zero immersion which kinda defeats the point of a VR game. These arena style games have ruined gaming and cant wait till this dumb trend is over. I thought gaming evolved past this after NES....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →guns wont fire half the time and there are lots of bugs, still like the game tho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game shooting zombies however game bugged out and my guns stopped working on the first mission for some reason. Which failed the whole mission. This game is 4 years old ! Fix your bugs ffs.. I will update this once you fixed the gun bug in the crane area.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game so much but there are some things that make it not so loved more of a 7/10 due to some things Pros?! The game is like left for dead for vr! - its weapon play and over all gameplay is extremely fun - even working up to get better stuff for your guns and better attachments! - working for cosmetics? YES! - replaying is fun to a certain extent! - the ui is amazing! - Graphics are awesome too! Cons?! The main thing is it feels like the devs gave up on the game - the last…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this after playing Arizona Sunshines and asked ChatGPT for similar titles. expecting something like that, a fully immersive single player story. What I got was a bare bones multiplayer style mess. Huge disappointment. It was a big discount but I still refunded it, not my kind of game at all. Shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not particularly disappointing as there's a decent amount of polish, the sale price is generous, and it might make for an easy distraction with friends. Still, the structure that After the Fall offers is highly unmotivating. Your immediate exposure to a large selection of unlockable mods/perks/attachments just sinks my soul. Missions appear to follow the same structure, so they ended up kinda blurring together. Potentially having to replay them to get more loot to make replaying them again…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →turned my head too fast left or right and the game crashes...wild
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time I launched this game I thought I would play it everyday but I never launched it again
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really do love this game, but it definitely has it's issues. As a left-handed shooter, I find it extremely difficult to handle certain weapons such as the LMG. While most VR games have a "left-handed" mode, all it does it invert the controls which just makes it unplayable. I just need the mag ejection button to be on my right controller, super simple. This paired with a few bugs like my prototype floppy disc getting eaten by the machine because someone opened the door while I was inserting it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →New to VR and this is my favorite game so far. Picked it up for $5.99 over Christmas. Solid gameplay loop of zombie blasting and upgrading gear. Not super deep but very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VR left for dead with upgradeable guns and challenges, still lots of players for co op too. the gunner bug has only happened to me 2 or 3 times in 160 hours gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun wave shooter. Played solo through each level, tried multiplayer deathmatch with random players. I guess I will pick this up if some friends of mine want to try this game. But there are several Bugs and a feared error message (1004409) that haven't bin completely solved so far. It seems that the developers aren't into fixing this game anymore. Big downside. Overall it is ok for me, I just hope I won't run into these bugs again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Left 4 Dead in VR, a lot of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a huge fan of this one, maybe if I play it more I'll come back with something positive to say but I found this game mostly boring. Arguably the most boring zombie game I've played in VR.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy crap this game is great fun with friends. Still very early into the game but really enjoying every minute. Looks great and the sound design is perfect. VP2 w/vive wireless adapter Index controllers 5600x 3070 8G
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i can't recommend this game at all with how easy it is to disconnect from a session, and with the very well known bug of a big machine zombie shooting you causing you your guns to glitch and stop working that hapens easily. have tried several times trying to playthrough the first mission only for these to stop me ].
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is great for playing with friends. Left 4 Dead, but in VR. Definitely a must-buy for VR players.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend it personally. I was barely able to play it much at all. At time the aiming was janky, otherwise fine when it wasn't. Quest parts would break, the gun would disappear. The game froze twice. VR setup is index with 3 base stations.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun VR co-op zombie shooter
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is fun enough but there is a game-breaking bug that prevents me from recommending this game. You cannot progress quests at all. No matter how many times I start the first mission, using an arcade machine with the green quest marker, the quest never starts once I load into the actual mission. Well, almost never. I got the notification *once*, and even then once I completed the mission for like the tenth time it still didn't count. Quest is still there, weapon unlock screen still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I preordered this on quest, if you liked Arizona Sunshine, then you'll probly LOVE this. The reason I dont play it anymore is simply because there is no way to transfer my saved game from my quest to my PC, and I have SO MANY HOURS in the Quest version. Really great game tho. If there is a way to transfer/link accounts PLEASE tell me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guns are nice to use, and the progression and item unlocks keep things interesting even with a limited number of levels, same with the mutated runs which add modifiers to each level and changes every 2 hours. The hand rocket things are pretty sweet too, especially when you dual wield em, they're kinda like the wrist rockets in The Mandalorian. The only 2 things that would improve the game would be the ability to have more players per match, as some people have friend groups with more than 4…
