unlabelledView post →But I'm not here to litigate the virtues (or lack thereof) of Darren Aronofsky, but rather to sing the praises of David Twohy (who is also a successful screenwriter) who is one of my all time favorites, delivering A PERFECT GETAWAY, a nigh perfect genre film, as well as the RIDDICK franchise.

However, it's still a crafty hybrid of SPEAK NO EVIL and A PERFECT GETAWAY with a fun cast, a sick sense of humor and a satisfyingly splatty final reel.

That doesn’t mean im expecting it to ever improve on rewatch should I choose to rewatch it XD Not EVERYTHING is gonna be My Soul to Take or A Perfect Getaway XD
unlabelledView post →A Perfect Getaway is a fine movie. Focused more on the relationship between the main characters than the thriller aspect of it all, and it pays off all the better for it. Ive watched a few movies of this ilk and this is easily the best I've seen to date.

Two newlyweds (Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich) set out to enjoy their honeymoon hiking the incredibly scenic Kaua'i, Hawaii. Unfortunately they catch word that a crazy murderous couple is on the loose and they become seriously suspicious of other hikers (Timothy Olyphant and Chris Hemsworth, amongst others). Will they escape their honeymoon alive? "A Perfect Getaway" (2009) is worthwhile if, like me, you enjoy island-adventure movies like…
