unlabelledView post →Was telling folks on stream earlier today to watch the movie 1408, still a favourite spooky gem
unlabelledView post →Movie recommendation for tonight, 1408 John Cusack plays a writer who debunks hauntings, Samuel L. Jackson is the hotel manager who doesn't want to rent him an evil fucking room, it's an absolutely fantastic spookum perfect for Halloween.

unlabelledView post →Re-watched Hokum tonight and damn, do I love this creepy, haunting movie. So smart, well done, & atmospheric. But also, make a movie about a haunted inn/motel/hotel and odds are I'm going to love it. Because most of them kick ass: The Shining, 1408, The Innkeepers, now Hokum. Ghost stories ROCK 👻
unlabelledView post →The Exit 8 movie is amazing wtf I didn't know it was possible to turn a liminal space 15 minute game into a movie and make it good while not going stupid. It's like that room 1408 movie, excellent stuff
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching rewatching 1408. Such a great movie that I even forget that is was PG-13. Usually, I like my horror a hard R rated. 🤣🤣👍🏼 #MutantFam #HorrorCommunity #Horror #PhysicalMedia
unlabelledView post →Comics to Films 📚=🎞️ 1408 (1999) by Stephen King from his audiobook Blood & Smoke was adapted to film in 2007. The film expands on the short story by including a back story to both the haunted hotel and protagonist. A director's cut offers a bleaker end similar to the story. 🏨👻🗝️ #booksky #filmsky
unlabelledView post →final movie for the day, and i'm sticking with the number theme for #vundahalloweenathon. watching the long walk the other day put me in the mood for more stephen king so i'm revisiting one i haven't seen in years. #nowwatching 1408 (2007), which was very good according to my patchy memory 😋
unlabelledView post →The haunted captains suite at the inn where time is deceptive and seconds feel like hours or even days (in a fucking hilarious one off joke) is a nod to the Stephen King short story(and later film) 1408
unlabelledView post →My #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday Real Genius is such a fun movie. Also why does 1408 has four different endings?! #Filmsky

unlabelledView post →4. 1408 was a pretty standard spooky room movie, but I liked it! Had some cool visuals and set pieces. Of the various endings I preferred the director's cut.
unlabelledView post →the new shitty silent hill movie coming out got me thinking about how 1408 is literally a better silent hill adaptation than the actual silent hill movies. this movie bangs so hard, underrated gem
unlabelledView post →Lost monetisation on my Stephen King video for daring to use footage of 1408 when talking about the film 1408.
unlabelledView post →Fun fact: for at least 10 years I didnt know the movie 1408 had several different endings. So I got EXTREMELY confused when I would talk about the ending where the guy dies setting fire to the room & people would respond with that not being right and show me the ending where he got out. Gaslight era

unlabelledView post →31 Days of Horror Each day, a new horror movie I love that you should watch! 1. 1408, starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson and adapted from the Stephen King short story of the same name. Beautifully paced and cerebral, the movie slowly builds an air of menace that surrounds you like a cage.
unlabelledView post →The movie 1408 is classified as Horror/Fantasy which, okay, technically, sure.
unlabelledView post →Fantastic one sentence Letterbox review of 1408: "what the hell did hotels do to stephen king" letterboxd.com/film/1408/
unlabelledView post →Watching Stephen King's 1408. Movie starts at night in the rain with John Cusack. Haven't anything with him in a while.
unlabelledView post →Favorite movie from each decade of your life. 90s - In the Mouth of Madness 00s - 1408 10s - The Lighthouse 20s - The Menu So I did this by films I have watched the most, which is why Madness beat Jurassic Park... by an inch. (20+ times watched each lol)
unlabelledView post →#LetterboxdFriday #filmsky #LastFourWatched The Shining - still an absolute masterpiece, RIP Shelley Duvall 1408 - truly this is basically a Silent Hill 4 movie Night of the Comet - "daddy wouldve gotten us Uzis" new favorite!! Ghostwatch - cannot BELIEVE this aired on BBC. Still impressive.

unlabelledView post →What do these two films have in common? Absolutely nothing so far as I can tell, other than I’m listening to the soundtrack of Destroy All Monsters while writing an essay on 1408 for an upcoming issue of Stephen King movie adaptations for We Belong Dead magazine. Is this an unholy pairing? Am I mad?
unlabelledView post →Thinking about 1408, a movie I love. I got nothing smart to say, I’ve just seen 1408 a million times including the theater and it’s a banger of a film.
unlabelledView post →3. 1408 John Cusack yells at a minifridge in an evil fucking room. It's a real fun movie, bit of a rollercoaster ride of spooks as a guy who debunks hauntings finally finds a haunted location that might be the real deal. www.imdb.com/title/tt0450...
unlabelledView post →1408 is far from a perfect movie but I remain strangely fond of it, and I guess I relate hard to John Cusack screaming, “What do you want from me?!” into a hotel room fridge and a malevolent concierge repeatedly phoning up to ask in a friendly voice if you would like to check out yet.
unlabelledView post →That was fun to revisit. 1408 is always a great movie to watch. Thanks for hanging out. Have a good night, everyone. #Frightclub #room1408
unlabelledView post →This is probably my favorite Cusack movie, along with Gross Point Blank. I also liked 1408, being a break from what we’re used to seeing from him. #hatm
unlabelledView post →I am going to cheat and say that "1408"—not the film, the short story!—is one of the best things he ever wrote and overshadows a substantial proportion of his other work. Also shoutout to "Harvey's Dream" in that same vein, which I might like even better.
unlabelledView post →Watched 1408 years ago, most enjoyable, did not see the twist either. Would like to think I'm a more sophisticated viewer today, but sometimes switching off, and just let the movie happen is more than enough ❤️

unlabelledView post →I was watching a review of the movie "1408" when it showed a different ending from what I remembered and I thought I was being Mandela Effected. Apparently streaming services and DVD's had the director's cut ending which was very different and that's what's been propagated around for a while.
unlabelledView post →#MovieReview: #Hokum. This felt a lot like "1408" with the forbidden room scenario, but in a creepier hotel. There were some legitimately unsettling moments in this one. I never cared for pre-Severance Adam Scott, but now him being in a movie feels like a plus. Solid horror flick overall. #Horrorsky
unlabelledView post →If you've ever seen 1408, my whole vibe for today with all the bits on my feed is that part in the movie where the radio is melting and playing "we've only juuuusssstttt beeeeguuuunnnnn" in a hellish warped voice as reality tears itself apart.
unlabelledView post →Uh So I guess Lionsgate just put up 1408 for free? Am I seeing this right? It's good. Just sorta shocked a movie studio is giving out anything for ...ya know....free www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCj0...

unlabelledView post →Someone on Twitter asked for a good movie and it reminded me of how much I fucking love this movie. 1408 was crazy and I don't really see anyone ever talking about it.
unlabelledView post →13 Sins is an awesome film! Dang, with all of the 13 based film titles, I wonder if the number 12 feels jealous! Even 1408 gave 14 a title, even if it was as an oblique homage to the number 13! 🤣😜👍🎞 #FrightClub #Thirteen
unlabelledView post →Horror movie 1408. I'm a sucker for any Stephen King short story that became a movie.
unlabelledView post →Okgoreberfest day 12, film 23 - 1408 I hated this when I saw it in the theater, but thought I’d give it a second chance. It’s not as bad as I remember, but it’s not good either. I love John Cusack as an actor, so it pains me to say, he doesn’t have the range to sustain a film this intense alone.
unlabelledView post →1408 is a wee gem of a film

unlabelledView post →Look, folks, listen; films are bad. Movies, I mean. They're bad now. They have been bad since the movie 1408 came out in 2007, that is my cut-off. Yes, sometimes you get a good or even great movie, it does happen. But, broadly speaking, movies are now bad. It's been over for almost 20 years.
unlabelledView post →1408. Was this a movie?
