60 of 191 · most liked firstI'm trying not to be too hard on this one because it's an indie game, but I honestly can't recommend it. Zoria is a pile of great ideas that ultimately go nowhere. You have around a dozen different classes which boil down into around 5 archetypes. Tanky fighter, non-tanky fighter, magical ranged attacker, agility ranged attacker, and healer. Non-tanky fighters are worthless because the AI will target the weakest party member they can reach and focus fire them down, so you cannot have a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't make it very far, because everything about this game seemed incredibly meh to me. The combat got repetitive almost immediately. There are classes, there are builds, there is gear, but it's all terribly uninspired. Nothing you haven't seen 100 times before. Tactical decision making is very light. Attacks of opportunity are random (with a low chance) so control through positioning is largely absent. Enemies just attack your weakest party member. Tougher monsters don't have interesting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've purchased and played this game based on recommendations of others. They were correct on everything they said and I liked all those things. However, I cannot recommend this game at this moment. It needs a massive dose of QoL and further development of skills and weapons perks. Let me explain. QoL This game may be complete but it feels like it just entered early access. You get stuck on everything. Sometimes, invisible things. Traveling is so janky that I eventually hate exploring. That's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is clearly a labor of love. I have never seen a game that's so obviously got a lot of dev time behind it... that is just so, so, SO very awful to play. There are hundreds of items in the game, and lots to interact with. The land looks pretty good in screenshots. Characters have a tiny handful of skills, and sometimes you can find nice ways to combo with your own team. I see where they were going with this. Unfortunately, the gameplay is simply the least fun I've had in a game in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a charming little game! OK, so it's not BG3, but: - it's a tiny fraction of the price; - You don't have to spend a at least half your time talking to your followers about their problems, then spending yet more time solving their problems. Always assuming they don't flounce off in a huff because you offended them with an insensitive comment. It's a Kill, Loot & Level game, which is all I want as a casual gamer. I already have a life, thanks. A previous reviewer complained about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't a glowing review. This isn't a great game. This isn't a bad game. It's fun, but not amazing. Some parts are impressive, but nothing is unique. At no point did I regret buying or playing the game. It's the kind of game that, in 15-20 years, someone will do a remake (or just re-release) for and hundreds of people will be like 'Oh yeah, I used to love that game.' Then, someone who never heard of it will see the positive reviews from nostalgia bias and leave it in their library,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RANKING: AVOID | FLAWED | MAYBE | WORTHWHILE | COMPELLING | UNMISSABLE SYNOPSIS: ASSESSMENT: Zoria: Age of Shattering delivers an absorbing if lite RPG experience, trading on immersing players within a gripping story and a wonderfully alive gameworld. A mammoth set of quests results in rewarding adventuring. Tactical turn-based combat maybe lightweight, but enemy encounter diversity is amazing. Limited character customisation makes it feel less of an RPG, but minor strategy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →--- update on the review ---- Developper claim: we've been continuously improving it based on community feedback Reality: Main character still locked in middle of the formation, attacks of oportunity still random, enemies still running freely past mele without punishment, random elements like extra turn still taking away from tactical experience, about 80% of skills that I've described below as "fillers" aka useless stuff is still useless making customization of classes even poorer. Still no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I bought this in a sale and paid half price, fair value for half a game. The game starts really well, the first few hours are engaging, looking like a reasonable RPG. The basic plot is determined and the antagonists defined, little adventures happen. From the look of the game it feels like that were many intentions to create a flexible game loop with interesting play. What has been delivered appears to have been shaved down extensively with a story line abruptly shortened. The narrative…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent party-based CRPG. Amazing to have been made by such a small team, I was continually surprised at how much more game there was to play. Voice acting is only for core story points, but for the most part the narration is excellent, and the voice acting ranges from great to mediocre. I estimate I completed about 85-90% of the available game during my single playthrough, with only a few quests not completed. There are a few balance issues (intelligence is a hilariously powerful stat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished the game, 155 hours. First I love that I can save anywhere, put down the game and continue. A game on a short list of games that I have finished. Fantastic game, I loved every minute of it. I dont recall any bugs, smooth game play, and well designed. The design choices might be different, but done well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good in the beginning when all feels new but after the first map when you get you castle and base it just feels like endless grinding and battles with extremely light story which is just a timesink. The game fails to keep my interest long enough. To engage in tactical battles every 3 minutes without any context, dialgues or purpose except in very few places, is not my spare time well spent. And I bought the game when it was discounted 50%.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just 3 devs? Amazing. Great job, guys, you really hit it out of the park! just one complaint. The movement is terrible in the "open" areas. I constantly have to figure out how to get through "open areas" with no visual clues as to why I can't go forward. Please fix the movement! otherwise, 95%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a nice, simple, RPG. I loaded up Pathfinder: WOTR and tried to play it a few times. I just found it to be too much. I was looking for an RPG I could pick up and play with some learning but not PhD level. I found Zoria, which I had been looking at for awhile. It is kind of rough in some ways but I am having fun. It is really well done and I have had zero bugs. Give it a shot. Update: At 7 hours, the game gets far more interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very cool game. I didn't expect to have so much content from missions to upgrading a keep and making an army. I have really enjoyed the game play so far.at just 46 hours. The replay will be fun too because right now I am just on easy mode for the story and learning the game. I expect to put in a good 200-300 or more hours replaying different levels of difficulty. It's well worth to pick up this game the next time it goes on discount. Now, I'm at about 100 hours into the game and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →6/1/26 - I'd like to say this game reminds me of Eastern European jankiness, such as King's Bounty (which I liked some of those games too). Sometimes it's charming, sometimes it's very frustrating. I'm currently trapped by my not wanting to swap out a party member for a thief to open a single chest because the kits you can buy for all other class abilities do not apply to this ONE chest and I have like 5 quests including the main story line one hinging on this now. It's a real ugly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no point in creating a squishy character like thief etc as enemies directly target that toon and kill it in 2 hits. What is even worse, your main character always run in the front on the world map, so when there's a battle he gets attacked first, regardless of how you setup your party formation. Dodge mechanic etc does not work. Imbalanced game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Liked the game, not the developer. Launching game crashes my PC, every time. Moved it on to different drives thinking it was a bad drive. That solved nothing. Eventually, re-validated game files on Steam and it allowed me to play. Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I launch the game (yes it is a PITA). Joined their Discord, explained problem and got a curt response that this was not their problem. There were no questions to follow-up with, nothing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the look and feel of Zoria but there are too many gamebreaking bugs. In one of my first encounters, the enemy NPCs entered combat but since I was in the inventory menu, we didn't get locked into combat so the NPCs were not able to do damage to us. Another encounter, a battle could not trigger until I exited the game and restarted. Upon reaching Kristjan I was unable to speak to him or any of the other hostage NPCs, so it appears I cannot progress. All this was under one hour of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave it a shot, really didn't like what I saw (bad UI, bad character creation, bad colour palette, mediocre graphics, clunky gameplay), and encountered an issue in the first few minutes so I'm not going to be able to recommend this one. The main issue was that the very first quest, a quest that you MUST do to make any progress in the game at all, was bugged for me and the game would not mark one of the three tasks for that quest complete even though I did the task. This game isn't in early…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ENDGAME REVIEW 2.0 It's a tough one. I was initially charmed, then disappointed. In the end, I will not recommend if you are looking for a high quality indie game. If you are willing to go past the (significant) shortcomings I list below, however, and spend some time with some nice gameplay mechanics, go ahead and support the devs. Beware: Some spoilers Zoria: Age of Shattering is a modest game. It could have been a good indie product, but I can't get past the very inconsistent writing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A well put together tactical RPG game. It sits right on the edge of what you would expect from an indie game and a more polished AAA-title. You also feel like it is a AAA-title in so many aspects of the game, but then you hit something that snaps you back and you are reminded that this was all done with a tiny dev team of 3. Every short coming I've found so far all revolve around what had to be budget constraints: voice acting, no custom weapons/armor sets, spelling errors, corrupt save…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genre - Fantasy Isometric CRPG I played the demo on release, and enjoyed the simplicity and progress speed of this RPG game. I remember the items seemed underwhelming though and automatic character positioning was a problem in some fights. However, they seem to have addressed both these concerns with the main release. I completed with 80% achievements after 40 hours, and only a bit of achievement hunting avoiding spoilers. The fights on Normal did become a bit too easy as you power up and equip…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer: I'm a bit buzzed, but I just played this for a couple of hours so I wanted to say something. :-) Man I'm loving this game. Looks great, works great. Haven't encountered any issues. This isn't a "start from scratch" game - you start off in a situation and have to deal with it and then go from there. It's engaging. I love turn-based combat, and honestly, this is some of the best I've played. You don't have to sit there and scratch your head to figure out how to do things. Combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After you get through the first area it improves, but still not enough. Enemy AI (on Hard) just charges your weakest character, taunt is very short duration and opportunity attacks are random...but I picked a thief as main and cannot change it. Instant death after your invisibility wears off. Seems classes are not very well balanced. Combat is not necessarily difficult, but easily cheesed and just not fun. Problems - You cannot cast spells or attack outside combat. Enemy always seems to go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In all seriousness, the overall experience of the game is not great, and most of the issues stem from the map design. The maps are overly large yet lack substantial content. Additionally, optimization seems to be a major challenge, as the camera cannot move far enough, nor can anchor points be placed at a distance. This results in players spending excessive time just trying to navigate. On top of that, the maps are filled with invisible walls, and the environment design often makes it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First things first, many YouTube reviews point out being forced to bring specific class party members to access blocked paths on the map. For example, the Kingsman class can unlock mechanical gates. This was probably the most common and biggest downside I've seen across many review videos before I got into this game. That has since been patched and you can buy consumable kits that replicates that class passive. Anyway, this is a neutral review. Get it if you have a small turn based party based…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, but not interesting. There is nothing significantly appealing or unappealing about the game, and while it's okay, there is nothing that is making me interested in playing it compared to any other game in the genre. Kinda clunky controls, just unpolished in general. Okay to grab on sale, but that's about it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like i had way more than 14 hours in this game, not sure if that is only after getting out of early access. Anyways when i first played this game it was right after playing Baldur's Gate 3, so my hope was high but expectations were low. This game has greatly exceeded what I expected, especially after reading its a 3 person team developing it. So far have loved the feel of the different classes and as a fan of turn based combat have loved the combat system as a whole. One thing I was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modern CRPG for people who don't enjoy the story and mechanics of BG3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a fantastic game. Definitely a product of love. Is it absolutely perfect? No. There are some Quality of life and UI things id love to see changed but it is not game breaking at all. I played through the entire game, got 2 of the different endings (of 3 total i believe???) and didnt have a single crash or glitch. Exploration doesnt feel forced. Fast Travel is a thing, theres reasons to explore (no spoilers). An absolute Gem i highly recommend this to anyone who has a love of Baldurs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zoria is a very good game, but you might need some time to appreciate it. Starting from combat, which is turn-based, there are all kinds of features: action points, skill cooldowns, mana consuming and a fatigue mechanism. And on top of that, each character has a second mana-like resource, called focus, which is consumed not only by most combat actions, but also during resting (!) and real-time adventuring and is only restored by some specific combat actions. Sounds complicated? Indeed, might…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please support "AllFenom" with his stunning game about Zoria exploring the Cursed Land! #indiegame #pixelart #GameMaker #ZoriasGame
unlabelledView post →It's really really good. one of the best designed crpgs I've played. Its all one big map, like it should be, and not 10000 different skyboxes you have to load into each one as new area, no, Story and side quest stories are great, along with good unbroken guidence. music is really good. etc etc I could go on. Con: It is turn-based, but they did it in such a way that it is actually pretty fluid and works decently well. So more of a neutral than a Con.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is many problems with the game like the combat is not great but my main problem is the story/quests the writing sucks and another is the pointless NPC's deaths during the quests they feel similar like a after thought since you don't fell anything after they died because most of the times it happens at the end of the quest the NPC is automatically dead since you can't control the outcome maybe if the writing wasn't bad i wouldn't have that problem, the excuse from the Developer for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting great VA, plot or immersion but i was expecting decent combat system - didn't get one. There is zero challange to combat. You can pull mobs one by one turning group combat into beat down of single enemy. You get some equipment didn't notice any difference with "upgraded" stuff. AI is braindead with no ability to endanger your back line. They also tend to focus on the closest character and first round of combat. Also using health potions is free and unlimited. So to beat the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the definition of "Hidden Gem". The more you play, the more the game opens up, the funner and more engaging it gets. For three devs to have made this, it's nothing short of amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 Developers?!?!? It is unbelievable what they accomplished. Seriously. Great world building. Great story telling. Engaging interaction with history as it happens. @devlopers I hope you 3 are still talking to each other after all the time and effort you must have put into this. If you are still talking, I hope you grow your team just slightly. Not because you need to put more into the game, but because I don't want you to burn out. I'd be over joyed to put in on a kickstarter for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4 hours in and I'm impressed. Zoria: Age of Shattering is a turn-based rpg made by 3 people. Sure you can see it, but I've played AAA who put zero effort into their games (Dragons Dogma 2, Diablo 3, etc...). You guys deserve respect and credit for creating an enjoyable game. In Zodiac you have different classes to choose from, fast paced combat, rewarding exploration and some fortress management. I really enjoy the gameplay and can recommend it, if you enjoy these type of games. The only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright I have been reading all the negative comments on this game and i am just saying everybody is wrong... I have played 20+ hours on this game and the game have everything... loot, quets, story, orcs, dragons.... a big map to explore... and more (if you are a old Diablo fan, this game will be up your ally 100%) I love this game and I will send a big thanks to the developer to make a super amazing game - keep up the great work :)..... if your are a RPG fan, then this game just the way to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game and really impressive if you consider there's only 3 people creating this. Didn't encounter any bugs. There's some voiceovers in dialogue and those are good. Graphics are quite niice. Being able to always reset your skill-tree for free is a nice touch, since you don't really know if some skills are as useful as you think. All in all: had fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zoria currently stands at about 70% positive, and that feels about right to me. It is pretty good, but not great. It's a really impressive achievement from such a small indie team. The tactical combat is reasonably good, the lore is interesting. Buffing and healing abilities are actually worth using sometimes, and the fact that everyone can benefit from flanking attacks is a really good design choice. The selection of classes includes some new concepts like "Kingsman" and "Nightwarden" that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really hate to leave a negative review for a small/indie studio, but this just doesn't click. Skill trees are tiny. Everything feels standard, uninspired, nothing memorable or new. There are a few nice gameplay mechanics, but it all feels like it's borrowed from something else, just way more limited. Couldn't get too far into this. Bummer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game previously some time ago - late last year I believe. I played it for like 30mins and requested a refund. It was way too clunky and seemed unfinished to me. I bought it again yesterday, partly because of the sale, and man I must say it has vastly improved! I am really enjoying the game so far - and can't wait to play some more tomorrow. Great job TTG!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a thumb sideways. This was a good-ish game, with a few very detrimental aspects that kept it from being much better. Graphics and combat were good, story line was good (until the end), plenty of world to explore. The voice acting was not great, but it was a small team, probably on a tight budget. The crafting was too complicated. The terrain was incredibly annoying, because you could never tell where you could walk or not. Some grass was apparently impossible to walk…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old school tactical RPG with a fascinating story. It reminds me of Larian's Divinity Original Sin 2, but lower quality, hence it is cheaper. Still, I find that it worth every penny for me. I like the beginning of the story and can't wait to see how will it develop. Upd: after playing 10 more hours, I am certain this is a great indy game. There are drawbacks, such as some quest show on the map, but you have to finish other quest to enter the location where they are. Still, the world is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice story. At least the start looks good. But the combat is...meh. Combat starts in only in very short range. Every enemy has faster reaction than every player so they are always in hand to hand combat just after the first round. Quite stupid if you chose a mage or a ranger as your class. At the end it also means that every class will play the same as you are always in slashing distance. Close combat isn't a thing in the game. So your archer or mage will still use their abilities instead of a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is what it says on the tin: turn based, party based, all the modernly "expected" bells and whistles - side-quests, crafting, cooking, complex itemisation, huge numbers of components & ingredients, hirelings, a base with improvements, secrets. Everything seems to work, balance may be a little wonky, and it feels like a tiny team with huge ambitions who ran out of steam - but somewhere well beyond a "minimum viable product", If you like the base proposition there's 15+ hours of pleasant…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was initially just going to refund this one and leave it alone. But I just cant. This game sucks ass. It is a broken, buggy, pile of steaming ♥♥♥♥. It is SO BROKEN then when I started over because I didn't like the class I picked initially, the new character, as a new class, in a new game had the same stats, gear, and skill tree of the previous character. It even had the previous characters NAME still, I named it something different! The music is terrible. Like, just turn off all sound. It…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A gem with a rough second half — but still a remarkable achievement The first half of Zoria: Age of Shattering genuinely surprised me. The worldbuilding is rich, the story has real depth and some genuinely compelling beats, and the tactical gameplay keeps you engaged without overstaying its welcome. I was hooked. Then the second half happened. It's not bad, but it feels noticeably rushed, like the team ran out of time, budget, or both. Some plot threads don't get the resolution they deserve,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying this game and recommend it, but with reservations that might apply to you. First, the game doesn't seem well-balanced. I'm no hardcore player, I like my thrills gentle, but I'm breezing through fights even on the "Hard" setting. There's been no challenge, even in the supposed boss fights. Maybe I somehow blind-pigged my way into a Game-Breaking Uber Party but I think that's unlikely. I've jacked it up to the "Unfair" setting and that's helped the challenge some. Second,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the game on launch for about 6.5 hours. I felt like it needed a little more time to cook so I set it down. I came back a year later with fresh eyes and feel the game is in a much better state. Kudos on that, Tiny Trinket. TL;DR You can definitely tell a lot of thought and care went into Zoria. It has a lot of heart and a lot to love but some immediate clunkiness that may turn you off from it initially. You really have to WANT to play it. The review may sound harsh but I overall…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool indie rpg. A lot of abilities for combat. Outpost management. Change party members, sent them to missions, upgrade your outpost. Plenty of things to do. Combat is fun. Let's Try series here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uULsKJN0U4
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love RPGs and am not disappointed with this game. It has its quirks but it is fun and the story is good. Lots of quests, lots of loot. Was a great price and amazing that such a small team created it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic! If you prefer not too much intricate character detail but enough to keep you tweaking and improving then this is for you. Quests, characters, graphics are all engaging and beautiful. Fights are challenging enough for a relaxed approach without getting too geeky. Do the free Prologue (demo) first and then play the main game. I'm really enjoying it after 10 hours and am looking forward to many more.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun squad tactics based CRPG. Not overly complex but fun to play. Story is interesting, Really appreciate the developers' care and effort!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a hack and slash and you look at everything mainly from above. Enjoyed the story and only at the end understood how to forge armour and other bits. Would recommend buying as i completed it after 30 hours but there is probably another 10 hours more to play that i didnt.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was a Kickstarter supporter of Zoria and I am glad I did. This small group of developers has batted well above the average for a small team. It is not perfect but its shortcomings are small and easily put aside. First off anybody who reviews this game with less than 10 hours has done the game a disservice. I don't want to spoil anything but at around the 10 hour mark something happens that makes this game blossom into something special and above the mark and begins to reveal what the…
