I played for about 59 hours, so this isn’t a knee-jerk negative review. The game has real strengths: the combat feels good, the world is interesting, and at first it genuinely feels promising. Unfortunately, the longer you play, the more the progression systems completely undermine that experience. The gacha is extremely predatory. Materials are painfully scarce, and your world level increases faster than your character power, so instead of feeling rewarded for playing, you feel punished for…

Frankly, I love this game. I've got 36 hours of playtime in it. It's fun, the story is engrossing, the characters are well written. Sure, it's a Gacha game, but the gameplay and exploration are great and the writing is fascinating with awesome concepts. I DESPERATELY want to be able to recommend it. But I CAN'T do so, and it's specifically due to the sheer bloated file size. As of 3.1 at the time of writing, this game takes 124GB or space on a PC- and it's likely about to go up to around 140Gb…

My Steam hours don’t even show the whole story here since I was playing this day one from Epic... it's prolly 700+ hours deep at this point. As a day one player and a spender on the game, I really want to address the good and the bad after 2 years of playing. The Good First the good... combat. As someone who is also a day one PGR player from the same developer Kuro Games, I already knew these devs can cook action games. The combat is elite. I like the cool flashy moments, the parry mechanics,…

I started Wuthering Waves about a month after its Steam launch, and honestly, I haven't missed a single day since. I’m writing this after hitting 100% completion on absolutely everything: the map, every quest, all holograms, and even the end-game modes. And after all that, this game is a solid 10/10 for me. I’ve spent countless hours on Destiny 2 and Dota over the years, and Wuthering Waves has still managed to be the game I've spent most time playing this year.

As someone who has never been into the anime universe, this game is exceptional. Here are the things that impressed me after spending 100+ hours of playtime: Smooth combat & gameplay. Responsive controls, both on keyboard/mouse & gamepad (I use the keyboard more because it gives me better control and flexibility in fast-paced combat, but I switch to the gamepad when I want to sit back and chill). Stunning visual & animation. Unique character design. An immersive…

So I downloaded this just to play the Cyberpunk Edgerunners event, being that I'm obviously a Cyberpunk 2077 nut and holy sh-t. It was GOOD. Of course that'd be the case, considering the writer and producer of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Bartosz Sztybor, along with CD Projekt Red writer and editor Milena Zając, were involved in making this collab work and they did a really great job of explaining the crossover with Kuro's own universe. I wasn't expecting they'd actually cut that deep. No spoilers…

I've played Wuthering Waves for a long time, and my experience with the gacha system has been unbelievably frustrating. Okay, I wasn't going to do this but Kuro Games is literally forcing my hand. First of all, I'm so tired of how this game started as a Genshin competitor with a diverse cast of characters, but now it's another waifu collecting game with a low quality fanservice. During Lahai-Roi I started to hope that we're past this and the story doesn't need to rely on waifus to sell, but it's been 9 releases between 2 male characters. We have 41 limited characters SIX OF WHICH ARE MEN. This is insane. WuWa…

I wanted to like this game, but couldn't. Story: After the first 5 times of them showing characters sad past memories in a pocket dimension, it started getting repetitive. Little did I know 5 more time spaces showing characters sad pasts were waiting ahead. After getting through Sigrika's sad past dimension, I was done with it, gave it one last chance, and whoa another (Lucilla) sad pocket dimension. This is my first gacha game and I have to say I'm very impressed. I gave it a try because it was voted players choice GOTY and I can see why. The combat has a very high skill ceiling and is very satisfying overall, especially when you land combos and counters. I will say the new player experience leaves something to be desired, you get bombarded by UI menus and a million popups and notifications you don't understand, but if you can push through that intial overstimulation this game has a ton of…

Definitely Worth Playing Gacha Game Wuthering Waves is easily one of the best action-focused gacha games out right now. The combat is insanely smooth, responsive, and genuinely skill-based — dodges, parries, and combo swaps feel so satisfying that even normal enemies are fun to fight. Wuthering Waves actually managed to make me quit Genshin completely. Everything else feels so much better than Genshin, even though I have to admit the story at the beginning (Huanglong region) is bad that I think you should just skip it. Black Shore is where the story starts to become good and interesting for me, and my favorite romance part of this game is when Rover tries to save Shorekeeper. I feel like Rinascita region is where this game truly shines and the story really begins for me.…

Been a day 1 player who has bought monthly pass and battle pass since then, bought many skins (almost all), and yet had to quit because of the 50/50 system. Constant 50/50 losses, almost 6 times in a row twice. This made me walk away from the game slowly and today’s Qingxiao update was the last thread that got cut, because I lost 50/50 again. How Is This Game Free? I genuinely don't understand how this game is free. I've played plenty of free-to-play games over the years, but Wuthering Waves is one of the very few that actually feels like a premium AAA experience. The game is free and pretty and many more good things that I can say about it But for now, I'm giving it a negative review because it's becoming more and more unsatisfying to play just because of the poor optimization. During cutscenes or even freeplay, the audio doesn't load fast enough and you are literally playing with bugged asf audio. You'll only hear certain attacks (not even all of them, no background music, cutscenes' audio doesn't match the visuals, etc.). So yeah, I'm playing with…

It’s good, the quality is noticeable, with updates every few weeks and new characters and content. Combat feels great, not too hard, not too easy. But at the end of the day, it’s still a gacha. The monetization can be predatory, and if you’re someone who struggles with spending too much on these types of games, you should probably stay away. For low spenders or F2P though, it’s surprisingly chill, you can enjoy pretty much everything without feeling forced to swipe. Great game overall, just…

Honestly this was a big surprise. I decided to play it just to have some downtime from fps games. A game I wanted to play just because of the 'flight' utility; see the world from above and enjoy the scenery. I did the "viral" global filter from tiktok too, to make it look more story book like (high contrast and color while lowering brightness). And to my surprise it was one of the few game that that I would find soothing and relaxing: more often than not I would pass out mid convo with NPCs.…

Wuthering Waves honestly cared more about me on my birthday than some of my close friends. Honestly, it moved something inside of me. That a game cares more about the most important day of your life than some of your IRL friends. This is the take of someone who's never played gacha games before, so take it as such. The graphics are great. The world is vast, the game is fluid. Combat is fun. But! The game mechanic's revolve around 'gambling'. So you're rapidly slowed down in your progress, and psychologically trapped into 'needing more and more'. I understand that this is a free game and that's how they make money, but I'd rather pay for a game that doesn't psychology tricks me into micro-transactions.

In this game, I finally achieved one of my gaming dreams: playing as Rebecca. Her gameplay is so chaotic and energetic. I can feel her strength and wild nature with every blast from her shotgun, Guts. All the references to the anime, along with the story quest where she gets much more screen time than in the anime, are everything I could ask for as a Cyberpunk fan and, especially, as a Rebecca fan. Thank you, KuroGames. You really nailed it.

People's Choice for 2025 for a VERY GOOD REASON. Live service makes it tricky to navigate the balance between game dev direction and community feedback. Most devs will put up the facade of listening: social media interaction, quality localisation, surveys and questionnaires where you ask for QoL that devs may or may not put into their other games instead. But KURO GAMES listens. At launch the game was admittedly a mess, with bugs, awkward localisation, and story that was all over the place.…

The end game it's actually decent, not to easy not to hard, Con: Not so much, Probabilly the lack of CO-OP stuff , this game really could be more social, There are a few issues with asetts loadin but it runs fine. Score: 9.5/10 Tip: If you wanna try it , please do not use your Lusturus tides ( green one ) on…

Wish they didn't do the unspoken 3-banner rule. Characters only get three banner appearances total---their debut and two reruns---aside from the occasional special event. But those events usually just throw in extra characters as filler. If you want an older character, it's basically impossible to get them unless they randomly show up in a special event.

Wuthering Waves, while a fun game to play, continue on their path of anti-consuner practices. In the latest Cyberpunk update, they made it so that players have to buy an entirely new type of currency in order to get the limited time characters and weapons. This disheartens people who have been saving pulls for what looked like a good event, and takes advantage of players fomo in the hopes of squeezing some extra cash out of them. Not worth it.

I think my playtime speaks for how much I enjoy this game. (switched to PC launcher version recently) Gacha aspect can be rough if you're not used to it but it's still more forgiving than most gacha games. Peak story, peak character designs, peak voice acting (in all languages imo) and peak music. Game visually looks more and more phenomenal with each subsequent update with significant amounts of story content and new areas/regions (every 42 days usually). Performance can be a tiny bit…

After 250 Hours i can confidently say: Absolute Cinema. The Story is peak overall, the beginning of it is a bit bumpy and rough because you get just thrown into it and it drags on every now and then. Once you get into Rinascita This game goes all out and throws peak story after peak story at you with pretty seamless transition. The cutscenes feel like you're in the middle of a movie and you get every aspect imaginable, cute dorkiness, dark sides of underground organizations, action filled…
