unlabelledView post →Tell me how I walked out of Wicked today only to figure out at the end of the movie that it was about the wicked witch of the west from the Wizard of Oz. 😭
unlabelledView post →the powers that be are trying to get you to watch the Wicked Movie with "trailers" and "advertisements" but don't fall for it, these are all marketing tricks, they think we are fools. you do not need to watch the Wicked Movie. it is not required.

unlabelledView post →The main difference between Wicked the stage musical and Wicked the movie is that in the stage musical it’s obvious that Glinda is a lesbian and Elphaba is a bisexual woman. In the movie it’s the other way around
unlabelledView post →“Wicked” and “Gladiator 2” are both now streaming. 4 weeks after release. $40-$60 for three people to see a film vs $20 at home. Almost no incentive to go to the theater anymore. Got to go back to 6-9 months between the big screen and small.

unlabelledView post →my fundamental issue with Wicked is that the brilliance and power of the Wizard of Oz movie (1939) is that *Oz is not a real place* it is the dream of a young girl whose life is already a tragedy (parents dead) and is going nowhere fast (stuck in Kansas, town controlled by Gulch/Wicked Witch)
unlabelledView post →Wicked: For Good FUCKED ME UP in the very last 2minutes of the movie!! I avoided crying until then but FUCK. That ending shot oh my god. 😭❤️
unlabelledView post →People are mad that Wicked didn’t get any noms and I’m over here going, “Did you actually watch that movie?” Anyway, they should have done it as a single film with an intermission. Would have been more of a spectacle. Probably would have forced the award issue a little more.
unlabelledView post →The worst part about the Wicked movie being good is that it means there are absolutely theater kids out there who enjoyed the movie that will then go on to read the book
unlabelledView post →was a bit worried I wouldn’t understand what was happening in Wicked but luckily a couple sitting next to me narrated the entire film. a relief all round
unlabelledView post →My 28 year old brother literally didn’t even know there was a Wicked movie until today. I wish I knew peace like that.
unlabelledView post →One of the things I really loved about Wicked is...it's a film musical where everyone can REALLY sing. They're not just actors who can hold a tune and have been thrown in to a musical, they're people who GET the form and it makes such a difference.
unlabelledView post →Who the hell scheduled the Rapture before the new Wicked movie comes out? This is some bullshit.

unlabelledView post →These "film I've watched more than 6 times" memes are so funny because if you grew up before streaming, then whatever films you had on VHS or DVD, you watched way more than 6 times. But also I've watched Wicked at least 18 times by this point so...
unlabelledView post →Just watched the wicked movie recently #art #ffxiv #wicked #fiyero #grahatia

unlabelledView post →Please can the success of Wicked hail in a new glorious era of movie musicals and let the superhero era die
unlabelledView post →Before you watch the film Wicked, first watch The Wizard of Oz, and remind yourself of how far we've fallen. I went to see the musical, and every single song could be beaten by that one about the Lollipop Guild.
unlabelledView post →Wicked was astounding as a film. But realizing the actors were singing live, and that the end product was done in those takes on set and not in a recording studio is beyond comprehension. Amazing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yBq...
unlabelledView post →all this talk about the Wicked movie is a lot for me to handle as someone who hung out with theater kids in high school when Wicked was big on Broadway
unlabelledView post →Finally saw "Wicked" and it's basically the same exact movie as "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."

unlabelledView post →Wicked Part 2 was good, in that it had an impossible uphill battle of making act 2 of Wicked into an entertaining movie that made sense and basically managed to achieve that goal also women are gay

unlabelledView post →I have next to zero interest in Wicked the movie, but I’ve been rereading Wicked the book and I’m again struck by how brutal and intelligent and unflinchingly politically radical it is.

unlabelledView post →For me, sometimes the pure bleakness of fictitious horror is what gives me strength and hope. A great example is the film THE DARK AND THE WICKED, which is an ultra bleak, HEREDITARY-style film. It centers on caring for a dying parent, something I've experienced. BUT THEIRS IS SO MUCH WORSE.
unlabelledView post →across all the variations: the Baum novel, the original film, the Wiz, Wicked (the book), Wicked (the musical), the Great and Terrible, Wicked (the film), Tin Man, the common theme that unites them all is “Americans are especially susceptible to propaganda from conmen and shysters”
unlabelledView post →“Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo, who is up for an Academy Award for her performance in that film, will host this year’s Tony Awards.
unlabelledView post →The movie of Wicked is better than the stage production of Wicked which is better than the book of Wicked. Therefore I can only assume that the video game of Wicked would be even better than the movie.
unlabelledView post →I finally watched the Wicked film last night & in addition to it being an incredible adaptation of the musical, it is exactly the kind of art & storytelling we need right now. It's not an accident that a hyper relevant film about rising fascism is coming from an AAPI director with a Black lead.
unlabelledView post →‘WICKED: FOR GOOD’ had the biggest first-day pre-sales number for any movie in 2025.
