Rather than there being a true in-story explanation, the implication is that they turn out to be bad, because in previous Bioshock titles, the "resistance" faction turned out to be bad. 7/?

unlabelledView post →Idk... People say that BioShock Infinite does Both-Sides-ism but I played that game A LOT and I never felt like the Vox Populi became The Villains of the story. They turn on you because you time travel to a dimension where your character is supposed to be dead not because they're actually evil.

It sends an awful “two sides” message and goes so strongly against what the game’s first half was saying. It’s doubly disappointing because other aspects of the game do feel well-thought out.

The game outright says that the violent resistance group is just as bad as the violent white supremacists/capitalists Fink and Comstock.

unlabelledView post →I never thought the game took the stance that the Vox Populi are bad in any way; simply that "shit happens in a revolution" "people like Booker and Liz exist, they should shut the fuck up about racial issues but they never will" and "how are you gonna' explain a trans-dimensional misunderstanding".
unlabelledView post →Civ 6 with DLCs is the best out-of-box experience. I really love the art style, for example the parchment fog-of-war. Very beautiful. Civ 5 is great too but you should use the Vox Populi mod for the best experience. Adds more depth to the game and makes it way better. Can't go wrong with either
unlabelledView post →The honest truth is that they’re all pretty different from one another. The community gold standard is Civ 4 and it’s usually on sale. Civ 5 is also a pretty good game now with all expansions plus some DLL mods such as Vox Populi Keep an eye on Civ 7 reviews though, it’ll be closer to Rev I think
