Until Dawn
One year after her sister Melanie mysteriously disappeared, Clover and her friends head into the remote valley where she vanished in search of answers. Exploring an abandoned visitor center, they find themselves stalked by a masked killer and horrifically murdered one by one...only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening. 60 of 225 · most liked firstvariety.com/2026/film/ne... Damn. Hayden Panettiere was only 36. Goddamn Hollywood, hounding her and abusing her. Sigh. Rest in power, Hayden. I never watched Nashville, but I did love the first season of Heroes and the video game Until Dawn, she was great in those.
unlabelledView post →I saw a trailer for the "Until Dawn" movie and it looked interesting and made me want to try out the video game until I realized that I have partially played the video game and it had nothing to do with that trailer
unlabelledView post →In more frivolous news, I just saw the trailer for the Until Dawn movie and why. Why did you even bother. It's not an adaptation of the game. It's someone's original horror film with "Until Dawn" slapped on it. So anyone who's actually a fan of Until Dawn is going to hate this. Why. You idiots.

unlabelledView post →All I gotta know about the game awards is that they nominated the Until Dawn movie for something and as someone who has seen that movie I honestly can't even imagine the MTV Movie Awards nominating it so that's how bottom of the barrel we're talking.
unlabelledView post →Sony is launching a competition where moviegoers must watch the new ‘UNTIL DAWN’ movie on repeat & stay awake for an all-night marathon or they lose. Moviegoers must have no dozing off, no bathroom breaks and no phones.

unlabelledView post →🍃The SO & I are watching the Until Dawn movie as we recently played through thr game together. The movie only shares the name with the game. Otherwise it's completely different & so far bad. We are half way through & oof. Its more Dead By Daylight than Until Dawn with the repeated deaths idea.
unlabelledView post →Sonic 3 was NOT nominated for best video game adaptation, but the following are: A Minecraft Movie Devil May Cry Splinter Cell Deathwatch The Last of Us Season Two Until Dawn It is likely that the jury forgot about Sonic 3 since it released so early in the eligibility period.
unlabelledView post →To be clear, the biggest problem with the Until Dawn movie is when it tries to be Until Dawn. The premise and the first 30 minutes or so are fine. When the movie starts rearranging its own limbs to resemble the videogame? That’s when it starts to stink real bad.
unlabelledView post →On top of her TV and movie work, Hayden Panettiere in Until Dawn is genuinely one of the best video game acting performances of all time, especially for someone who already had mainstream success. So many big names have given iffy performances in video games, but she absolutely did not.

unlabelledView post →Watched that Until Dawn movie tonight. Oof. It felt like two writers had half a script each for totally different movies and they had to shuffle them together like a deck of cards, then Sony ran in and said "Hey can you shove in there something from the game and call it Until Dawn?"

The scares are huge because you’re almost put in the director’s chair... we really wanted to recreate that experience for the movie.”
unlabelledView post →Nothing says "I have no faith in this film" like taking an original production and putting it under the header of a completely unrelated franchise. The people behind the Until Dawn movie just saw this as the only way it would make even a little bit of money. It's probably terrible regardless.

unlabelledView post →another horror piece, this time, Until Dawn, based on the game. I really loved the game. I know the upcoming film (by the horror lord @ponysmasher.social) looks completely different, but I have high hopes it'll weave together the game with something fresh. 😊 #untildawn #videogame #horror
unlabelledView post →thinking about how a lot of marketing for Until Dawn was "oh, you think you'd do better in a horror movie? Prove it" but in the end they really wanted to tell their specifically crafted narrative so there's lots of fake choices or characters who can't die most of the time

unlabelledView post →Just watched Until Dawn and honestly it was a fun popcorn film! I wasn't expecting much but enjoyed it so much more than I thought. Plus some good kills and monsters, and I honestly had no clue what was gonna happen. I love the games and there was perfect quick action homages scattered throughout!
unlabelledView post →After watching the trailer, did they really need to call the Until Dawn movie "Until Dawn"?
unlabelledView post →The Until Dawn movie has wrapped filming.
unlabelledView post →I’ll say it… the UNTIL DAWN film is harmlessly modest, dumb fun. Yes, it’s “not the game” but the essence still exists in its “respawn” gimmick. Many missed opportunities and too conservative on scares, but it works best when it embraces being a schlocky self-aware B-movie.

unlabelledView post →Seeing as how The Thing Remaster came out recently, I've been daydreaming about a potential cinematic Thing game, in the style of Until Dawn, where the story branches and there are dozens of unique plotlines where a different person is infected every time. Would be in the spirit of the film.
unlabelledView post →May Movie #2 - Until Dawn As a huge fan of the game, I think the movie is inspired by it but definitely not “based” on the story of it. I did enjoy the special effects, but the direction they chose to go with the plot specifically didn’t feel Until Dawn-esque to me.
