unlabelledView post →Believe it or not, as much as I was a scholar of the #80s growing up, I never watched the movie “Uncle Buck”. I’m correcting that now
unlabelledView post →It's time to watch the best late 80s/early 90s Macaulay Culkin movie: Uncle Buck.

unlabelledView post →Mom watched Uncle Buck for like the 100th time, and still laughed when Buck was feeding the dog five times a day. Mom loves that movie. So why doesn’t she take his advice?????
unlabelledView post →So, I love the hell outta John Candy. One of three celebrity passings that gutted me (w/ Jim Henson & Charles Schulz). For me, he WAS the 80s. I loved growing up in that decade w/ his movies. My fave Candy movie? Uncle Buck, w/o question. Practically reduced the tape to ash from repeat viewings. 📽️

unlabelledView post →Happy Friday, fellow movie lovers! The new Mario movie was fun, but unfortunately the surround speakers weren’t working. Might bump the rating up when I hear how it’s actually meant to sound. On the plus side, Uncle Buck holds up! 🤙 #LetterBoxdFriday #LastFourWatched #MovieSky #FilmSky #CinemaSky

A wholesome story about a kooky screwup learning to handle the responsibilities of parenting and 80s teen angst. An 80s classic #review #movie #moviereview
unlabelledView post →Watching a 80s classic. Uncle Buck is a fun film with legendary John Candy. Always good for a laugh #80s #filmsky #unclebuck #genx

(Even though just about all the jokes flew over my young head.) Still my fave film from 1989, and that it beat out Road House and Uncle Buck for those honors? YOWZA!
unlabelledView post →So the criteria is something running the Linux kernel with no concern for what the user space is and ChromeOS is fine? Kind of reminds me of the movie Uncle Buck when he said he quit smoking and switched to cigars.
unlabelledView post →Man, they don't make classic family comedies like Uncle Buck anymore. John Candy was so awesome in that movie.
unlabelledView post →A few more ads on the station & forecourt. The excellent film, Uncle Buck and some cancer sticks (as was the thing in the day). The fag ones are reversible & advertise things on the other side which arent quite so addictive and harmful. Like Snickers/ marathons and ford fiestas. #modelrailways
unlabelledView post →Watched Red One and Uncle Buck today. I think Red One is a pretty decent xmas movie, not perfect but it works. Uncle Buck good too, not a xmas movie but decent. Has the kid from Home Alone in it. I think it predates that movie.
unlabelledView post →After Planes Trains & Automobiles, it just automatically started playing Uncle Buck, a movie I haven’t seen since it was new. Maybe all Thanksgivings should be John Candy film festivals. Actually.
unlabelledView post →My favourite John Candy movie is Uncle Buck and my second favourite John Candy movie is Only the Lonely. I don’t rewatch Planes, Trains and Automobiles bc it hurts my feelings too much when he is sad
unlabelledView post →I believe Apollo 13, Uncle Buck, and Tombstone are the most "I will stop down any time I see it is on TV, no matter where in the movie it is."
unlabelledView post →#MarchMovieChallenge #Moviesky 3/4 favorite John Candy movie I love them all, but when I was 13 I had my first date. I took her to see Uncle Buck
unlabelledView post →It's Thanksgiving tomorrow. I am watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles. One of the funniest and finest road movies made. And John Candy left us far too soon. He was only 43 when he died in 1994. This film came out in 1987. Uncle Buck was a classic and Who's Harry Crumb too. Top drawer.
unlabelledView post →This particular line hits hard: "Candy’s 'Uncle Buck' costar Macaulay Culkin appears as a talking head in this film and reminds the viewer he is now older than Candy was when Candy passed."
unlabelledView post →Tonight's second movie is surprisingly a first watch for me, Uncle Buck (1989) 🍿
unlabelledView post →There are 2 John Hughes movies I really like. Uncle Buck & the OG Home Alone. The 2nd Home Alone has some fucking hilarious shit, but it's not a good movie. SKELETON MARV is all that really matters in the 2nd one. That shit's hilarious. Uncle Buck and Home Alone are good. RIP John Candy.

unlabelledView post →When I watched Uncle Buck as a kid, the scene where John Candy makes Macaulay Culkin giant pancakes for his birthday breakfast was the whole movie. Nothing on either side of that scene mattered. It was the giant pancake movie.

unlabelledView post →Uncle Buck. Still a superb film, John Candy’s portrayal of an uncle was my go-to reference point for my nephews & nieces.
unlabelledView post →Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Easy. I almost never rewatch movies. Especially nowadays. Anywho, Uncle Buck #blutoid
unlabelledView post →I rewatched Uncle Buck last Christmas and while it’s neither Hughes’ nor Candy’s best work on paper it was enormously satisfying and has stayed with me since. a solid movie that 100% understands its remit as a vehicle for a charming rogue of a leading man. I rate the film a lot higher now, for both.

So, aunt Jackie from Rosanne just showed up a second time and holy crap she's super hot wtf is going on. This ain't right, why am I feeling this way? Anyway, great movie. Has heart #FilmSky
