This game made me realize I will not buy games from Rogue Duck Interactive anymore. TL;DR: If you liked games like Cats & Cups, Witchy Business, and other titles from this publisher, you'll like this game too. If you hated their previous games for being grindy, tedious, and poorly optimized in terms of mechanics in the late stages, you'll hate this game as well. Again, it's a good game if you enjoy their style. I know this publisher has an established fanbase that enjoys their cozy vibes and…

Running a sushi shop all by myself is hectic! My current goal is trying to get a dishwasher at least so I don't have to wash anymore dishes 🍣 Game: Ugoku Sushi Bar Platform: PC (Windows, Mac, SteamOS+Linux)

Slightly addicted to this cosy game. However, it really annoys me that I've maxed out ingredient storage and many customers are asking for dragon dishes, with only max 9 roe, there is no way to fulfil them all, sitting and waiting for the customer's order bar to go red and for them to leave it not great at all. This should be given some attention, increase the max storage for these items.

It was really fun making a different sushi recipe every day. Once I unlocked the dishwashing station upgrades, it became even more enjoyable. Overall, I really liked the calm atmosphere and cozy vibe of the game. The artwork is adorable, and the characters are really cool. Great job!

Great addicting gamer overall if you enjoy management type games involving food. There is plenty to do but does get a bit repetitive, but there are constant things unblocking, or seasons bringing new recipes so it does stay fresh for the most part. Pros: - Cozy, cute and visuals are adorable. - Addicting gameplay - Casino and chopstick mini game gives extra side content - Many many recipes and levels to unlock Cons: - My hand hurts, I wish I could play using keyboard over just mouse. -…

Really enjoy this game but am finding it really difficult to streamline and improve my gameplay efficiency because a lot of the items are quite hard to click on? For example: there have been multiple instances my flow has ground to a standstill because of how tedious it is to put unagi on the grill and the button has a pretty small range in which it can be turned on. A lot of the time when placing the unagi on the sushi mat too, it won't actually get picked up and takes several clumsy attempts…

I feel the same way about this game that I feel about most of the rogue duck catalog. Most of the game it has a satisfying gameplay loop and it really feels like I'm working towards something. But once I've bought everything, all I'm doing is grinding out the days for the rest of the achievements. This game in particular is kind of annoying because you only get certain recipes on certain days, forcing you to play longer.

this game reminded me of the cooking games i played as a kid, especially Sue's Ramen Shop and those old hot dog stand games. it has that nostalgic flash game vibe (but much more detailed and polished), and I absolutely love it :33 the art is gorgeous, and the food looks so good it made me hungry

This was SUCH a cute and cozy game BUT I have a few gripes about the game that I want to share in case any of these things may bother other gamers, too. (1) I found it moved too slow at times... I get that the point is low stakes and cozy, but I would have appreciated a few more guests to serve as that would have made some of the upgrades mean more (i.e. the 3x sushi button...) (2) THE FISHING PROCESSING. I don't think I need to say anything more for people who've played it but this may…

I feel super mixed about Ugoku Sushi Bar. I really enjoy the actual sushi making, style, upgrades and the dice mini game, but it is severely lacking several quality of life features that would make the game enjoyable to play for longer than 20 minutes. The amount of sushi variants is very high - too many recipes to be able to memorize, so you are constantly checking and rechecking order tabs -which results in a stressful gameplay loop for the player. The overall expectation is to scale your…

If you enjoy the crafting system in Minecraft then you will definitely enjoy this game. The whole scaling fish minigame is a bit tedious, but it's not required to do. Also at one point very early in the game I ran out of the cream cheese or whatever it was and I was unable to buy more until day 8 (I think?) when you unlock the black market so it was charging me 16 currency for each individual use until I unlocked that. These are honestly just small nitpicks, I'm very much becoming addicted this…

Really fun game about making and serving sushi! I'm giving it a thumbs up because I enjoyed it very much and thought it's very pretty and polished, but I do think it got too long at the end. There are so many recipes to learn, so if you're an achievement hunter it will take you some time. The great thing is that there are three modes of difficulty/speed, so you can choose how stressed out or cosy you want to be in the kitchen. TIme to complete: 23 hours (100 percent achievements)

Personally, it's one of my favorite games that has actually made me invested. It's perfect. The only issue I have is not being able to make multiple orders if they include the grilled nigiri, place multiple pieces on the grill, and not having a large enough button to actually start it. Other than a few things here and there, I really love this game! I will continue playing it regardless! :))

I previously marked this game as "not recommended" because I thought I was soft-locked. I re-purchased the game because I really enjoyed the gameplay outside of getting stuck. After playing some more, I realized a couple things 1) you CAN go into debt, the game doesn't prevent you from spending additional money to meet your daily goals 2) a LOT of the things in this game are labeled in a confusing way. It would be very helpful if the items in the shop were named the same thing as they are…

There were some annoyances such as the customer leaving and I'm trying to quickly clean up but that damn cup will NOT be available to pick up until the customer leaves XD (It makes sense but damn them for not rushing fast enough to leave.) but other than that, it's a great game to play.

I really enjoy this game, I've always been a fan of simpler restaurant management game like this one and it really hit the spot for me. The only issue I had is that I found scaling fish every time I caught one to be quite repetitive and boring after a while to the point where I would just skip fishing all-together and just restocked them at the market. If there was a "maybe" option on Steam, that's probably what I would click. If you're thinking about buying and playing this game, it has to be something you're already sure about genre-wise. It adheres to the "choose your own pace" cozy cooking game formula, and the first few hours are addicting and really fly by. If you like the first few hours, the rest are roughly the same. Most of the minigames don't feel really thought out (especially the scaling part of the fishing mechanic, which is…

The game isn't difficult and the gambling mini game is fun. You can also feed and pet a cute cat :) However if you are looking to unlock all the achievements it gets extremely grindy late game. a very cute and cozy sushi cooking game. What's really neat is that there are 3 difficulties to choose from depending on your desired playstyle (more chill or challenging). The visuals are also really pretty and not overhelming, plus the game is easy to follow and new features get introduced the more you play which helps it stay interesting, and you can invest a lot of time into the game for completion if you'd like. I definitely recommend this game :)

Good if you want a mindless grind while you achievement hunt. Not the best from this publisher... I think Cats & Cups better balanced the grind with achievement hunting instead of blindly handing out a new achievement every day in game corresponding with that day's new recipe. But hey, if you're in a bad place mental health wise, this is kind of perfect with that in mind, so I can't complain too much.

I put the game on the hardest difficulty right away because I really enjoy Diner Dash kinda games where there is some time pressure and you have to stay on top of everything. While this isn’t exactly the same type of game, I really enjoy having customer timers and the added pressure of trying to get everyone served quickly. Super cute game that makes me feel like I'm on a minecraft crafting competition. I love it! The pacing feels really smooth, although the controls do not. I'm trying to put out all dishes ASAP but I end up clicking everything 2-3 times, especially the grill for unagi. The progressive recipe unlock system I find very well paced and keeps the game new and interesting hours in. I quite like learning about the customers that come to your sushi bar, though one criticism I have is that you don't really get to interact with them much, you only learn about their lore; I would like it if we could actually talk to the customers and maybe even romance them in a later update.…

Having played through and thoroughly enjoyed many of their titles, I saw the 100+ achievements and knew I'd have fun 100%'ing the game. Ugoku Sushi Bar is a surprisingly good job simulator that kept me entertained much longer than I expected. You run your own sushi restaurant and prepare everything your customers order by following different recipes. But you're also responsible for getting the ingredients yourself. The money you earn can then be invested in upgrades that make running the restaurant and progressing through the game easier. One…

The game can be a bit grindy at times but theres a few upgrades to make things easier, although, it would be nice to have more automatic things. Theres a few bugs which can be frustrating but the Devs have been on top of it and fixing them when they arise.
