Is this game a masterpiece? No, but it is fun, as long as you are a bit masochistic. It is a precision platformer after all. Touch spikes or other dangers, and you die and have to restart the level. Your character is fast, the controls are good. Reach the flag at the end of the level 3 times to win a level. The levels change a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36214917/]Follow our Curator Page, MMM Reviews, for more in-depth reviews and recommendations Triple Take is a 2D platformer in which you play each level thrice, but modified every time. It’s a cool idea that gives the developer a lot of freedom to experiment with level design. Ultimately, I don’t think this is a revolutionary game that will change the genre forever, but it’s still good for some platforming fun, coupled with a surprisingly prevalent…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved the hours that I put into this game. I enjoyed collecting all of the scrolls and the difficulty of the levels (minus a spike from world 4 to 5). However, the third phase of the final boss was so incredibly frustrating and poorly designed that it has tainted my experience with the rest of the game. Spoilers and details ahead. The third phase is reminiscent of the Kraken boss in world 3. In the original fight, you play in a spaceship that has free movement across the screen in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a tough one. I mostly had fun. I mostly have a positive opinion of this game. But there are just too many things that detract from that positive opinion. (Minor spoiler warnings throughout). - Things that are too slow. Restarts after you die. Waiting for the boss to scream before it starts. Waiting for cycles (e.g. fire pillars). Far too much dialogue (maybe someone will appreciate this). - The whole "go into your file system thing"... I get it - it's part of the "story". But every…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first saw the trailer, I was interested and excited to play the game. Now this is where the fun and torture begins you start playing the game the more you play the more you get addicted and yes my deaths is a lot already and I'm only at world 2 T-T . Also something to notice is that the game is one of it's kinda, I've never seen a game literally do ♥♥♥♥ like this one, yeah I was pretty confused at first on what was actually going on, the more you play the more fun it gets but also the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: Based on the glowing reviews I was expecting a lot more than what I got. The "meta" elements of the game are honestly a bit annoying and don't add a whole lot. The story overall is meh. The gameplay is okay if you like platformers, but its pretty simplistic and not that interesting. Difficulty wise, I finished the game with all the scrolls in probably under 30 deaths if I had to guess, so it's relatively low. This isn't really a recommendation, but I didn't hate the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lets start by saying, the game is not for people who rage easily or give up after failing once or twice, pretty much u need dedication to be able to play this game till the end. The game is one of a kind, i have never ever played anything like this game at the beginning i was like "huh this theme reminds me alot of undertale" but things took a whole another turn when i started playing, sure there are some spooky stuff in between but no actual jumpscares, sometimes stuff will just appear right…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game!! Had to get used to jumps and controls cuz this is my first time playing a game like this but it's really worth it and fun. Disclaimer: you need a lot of patience. Raged a bit and died a lot but really cool!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Little confused at times but pretty fun platformer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with some minor frustrations but overall a fun experience, has a pony island meets super meat boy feel to it. the music is fun, comedy gave me a chuckle and the story is spoopy but fun. over all shows a lot of potential, show them some love, grab a copy and lets see where this is going
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a nice game. I also recommend having a friendly race about who will finish the game first among your friends. ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great mechanics, meta story, and relatable characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome platformer, awesome game. If you like challenging platforming games, you will not be disappointed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice game. It's pretty short (played the first half of the game in only 1 hour for now) have minimalistic graphics, and gameplay, so nothing crazy but it seems worth the price to me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →shockingly bad movement and level design for a platformer, jumping feels awkward and you're constantly hit with obstacles that make you wait or that simply aren't fun to interact with. but the worst offender here is how awful the springboard controls are, getting the proper bounce is extremely finicky for no reason and especially when you're jumping on to one off-screen it's a huge pain. and the writing is also very generic and lazy. baby's first meta narrative that needlessly forces you out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're familiar with this dev, you already know what to expect here. If not, expect a seriously underpriced game with tight gameplay and bursting with content, where you can feel the passion that went into this. If you think you might enjoy an unpredictable and challenging (but fair) platformer with destructible terrain and lots of replayability, this is going to be one heck of a game addition to your library. It's amazing how much stuff is packed into this game, so far I am still in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Triple Take is a precision platformer developed by FlyAway Studios and published by Bonus Stage Publishing that transforms a familiar side-scrolling formula into something far more unusual through clever design and surprising structural ideas. At first glance, it resembles a traditional retro-inspired platformer built around hazards, movement mastery, and increasingly demanding stages. However, the game quickly reveals a stronger identity through mechanics that challenge player expectations and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →holy had a baller game in Apex. We dropped quarantine zone and literally owned the whole lobby lmao. Too bad we only got 20 kills as a squad and 5500ish damage. I was so close to a 4k20 myself if only more squads survived lmao Triple Take is gross. First game with it, insta champions lmao
unlabelledView post →HAD TO DO A TRIPLE TAKE. CAUSE, YEAH, IT'S COOL THAT YOU CAN OFFICIALLY PLAY IT NOW AND ISN'T LOST MEDIA ON OLD PHONES. BUT ALSO, I'D LIKE THE ORIGINAL GAME TO ESCAPE THE PS2.
unlabelledView post →I like it. It is a really nice game. Perhaps not for everybody, but I find it really nice and unique.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzle being hard does not Equal to the Puzzle being evil. Please consider that most people can concentrate on one thing at a time, as Solving Movement puzzle while dodging da Fletching bullets And Jumping over Regular leveled platform stage while the plot is advancing with critical points AND CONTROLLING MIRROR SELF ALL IN ONE GOD-FORBIDDEN SAME TIME is not doable for everyone. It's like You gatekeeped old, rusty bones at the very end of the story and Pommeled them with mirror. Especially…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good, very nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent little platformer with a nifty little semi-meta narrative. Jump in and start taking on each level, completing each in triplicate with elements changing every time - and hints given on what to expect next. Meet a small cast of zany characters and team up with them to take on an unexpected foe. And most importantly: spend no more than 7-8 hours time on this gem of a precision platformer, then walk away wholly satisfied with your experience for the price point! This is a little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun platformer and love it's 4th wall breaking, but I received this product for free in exchange for me making coverage which I primarily do on Twitch. Unfortunately, given the 4th wall breaking bits and my lack of a desire to dox myself on stream, I can't make coverage of it in the way that I wanted to. Phenomenal game so far and I really do love the story it's telling, so don't let this influence your purchase. If you intend on playing this alone, go for it! If you're a content creator,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Triple Take is tricky and you'll be dying a lot! But it isn't impossible. Playing the same level 3 times is an interesting way to do it but the third time is usually the easiest after you've memorized the level. Even though the level changes each time, I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference. I had some issues with the controls, I used a controller though. Doing a wall jump was always stickier than expected, I could never quite get it consistent. The psychological horror aspects were…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The interactions with the files and out-of-game experience is quite enjoyable, although surprising at first. Loving it so far and cant wait to get to the higher levels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The true sequel of super meat boy. i downloaded the cracked game but after the first world i decided to buy it for support the beautiful product. MUST HAVE
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BRUH love this game! having to move around the files in my folders is such a cool touch when it comes to there kinds of horror games. makes me feel like i'm physically taking hold of the controls and helping the characters out in game. the platforming becomes an INSANELY good challenge for those of you that love difficult platformers to get to the next chunk of story, this might be the game for you honestly!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Triple Take concept is much more than just "playing the same level three times slightly harder each time." Sure some tiles will drop away to make jumps harder but others will reveal spikes or arrow/flame traps or even open whole new pathways. It's hella fun. Triple Take's an excellent modern precision platformer with very clean retro graphics, an interesting story, and surprisingly friendly gameplay. Super smooth controls, 50 levels, great variety. Want to know more? Check out my review…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it for dirt cheap on a keysharing site, and I enjoyed it. It's not revolutionary, or super deep, but it's a solid, tight, and fast little platformer that I can recommend if you want basically anything and everything platformers. Get it on a sale though, it's short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't typically review games pre-completion but Triple Take is a rare exception. Initially I was sold on the unique gimmick and style (especially given it's obvious inspirations in terms of tone and aesthetics from the likes of Undertale). But there is just so much about the game at its core -- primarily on a gameplay front, that holds my overall experience and enjoyment back. Beginning with, first and foremost, hit detection. Compared to the other objects in an arena, your player's hitbox…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Positives first, because at the core this is a good game no doubt, but there is just too much that keeps me from recommending it. I really enjoyed the characters and the dialogue. They are all very distinct and I personally found them funny and was looking forward to new interactions after each level. I also enjoyed the music. While each track is rather repetitive/loops quickly, each world and boss has its own music so the tracks never overstay their welcome. The Boss-fights are also pretty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm fairly mixed on this game but I think ultimately I lean towards a negative review. I think when the game is doing something right it's fairly neat, but the flaws just really hold it back. Biggest flaw is for sure the hitboxes. The player's hitbox is huge and this is a huge issue in a precision platformer. There's a lot of one gap jumps and man you'll just hit something when you think you are going straight on. The final boss was particularly annoying due to many moves exploding slightly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game, AWESOME soundtrack my one complaint is that the hit boxes for what can kill you feel WAY TOO BIG but overall it is a very fun game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually one of my favorite games ever! Love the characters so much! Love them all. Really could not recommend more. Loved the characters more than anything, genuinely 10/10 game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable and sometimes challenging little platformer (especially the final boss)! I like that some levels are "move as you please" and in others you're pushed from the left side so moving quickly adds to the challenge on those levels. It also incorporates a game mechanic I've never seen before: file manipulation (by the player) in the file browser on your computer. The challenge of each level varies, from relatively easy to moderately difficult, but none of them are impossible. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this isn't a bad game but it definitely has things which could've been improved i wasn't a fan of playing through repetitive sections, like in world 3 where it feels like every level has yet another underwater corridor with alternating fires that does nothing but force you to sit and wait or the needlessly dragged out boss where you have to dodge easy attacks for a few minutes, then slightly harder attacks for a few minutes with the 3rd phase having a sudden difficulty spike
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, unique game mechanics, interesting story, nice platforming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. I could have gone without the file manipulation mechanic. I’m playing on the steam deck so that was pretty annoying to do but it’s only needed a handful of times. If you’re on a steam deck, you’ll want to play in desktop mode to make that a whole lot easier.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really, really don't know who on earth can possibly like this combination of hecticness and precision that is in the boss fights. I hate it. Rest of the game was really nice and intriguing and all, but the boss fights (well, I quit at the first one but going by video they will only get worse and longer) are horrendous and just no fun at all, but YMMV.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is pretty fun, and the controls are precise for the most part. Would have been helpful for a "move slowly" button. There were times I meant to move ahead a tiny bit but ran to my death. Especially for a precision platformer, and the bullet hell sections. The meta element I did enjoy, might be the first game I've played where you had to move around computer files to progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is overall good, but there are a few frustrating points and not in a good way. The game breaks the 3rd wall several times and you need to move files around your steam folder in order to continue. A couple of levels you are controlling 2 characters at the same time and need to avoid obstacles and there are a couple invisible levels too. Overall the game controls well and is easier than a game like Meat Boy or The End is Neigh. The game is fun for the most part.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →made by the best programmer that ever lived
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →neat premise with some challenging and engaging gameplay, there are some gimmicky parts at times though so be warned that you'll have to do more than platform. honestly, at the end of the day it's seven dollars so it's really not a big investment, definitely worth it in my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →quick little platformer anyone could probably 100% it in under 5 hours. highly enjoyable, fast pace gameplay. recommend for precise platforming fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so much fun! Also Flux is the best character ever. Love how goofy he is!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pleasantly interesting story and standard platforming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing concept, good soundtracks, interesting characters, challenging levels buy the game it's worth it!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for my game stream tonight, I'm going to be playing some Ultimate Chicken Horse before doing some platforming with Triple Take
unlabelledView post →Love Venet, hes my boy. I also enjoy the difficulty of the game and the music a lot, but the hit boxes are kinda broken.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredible game! Controls feel great! Music is catchy! Wild storyline! Lots of outside the box surprises! Not too difficult, though occasional few sections spike in difficulty (last boss =X) ! Was fun seeing how the level changes each time! Not a negative thing to say about it! Nice bite-sized precision platformer! GET IT!!!! You won't regret it! :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Triple Take is a really good game. However, there are MANY flaws that take away from the game experience. Pros: -Challenging but fun (some levels aren't too fun) -Soundtrack is amazing. I love listening to it. -The game manages to make playing a level three times fun. -The aesthetic is appealing -I always love fourth wall breaks and window shake. Cons: -Story felt really rushed with little anticipation to the final boss, anticlimactic -Some levels spike the difficulty up by a lot, making them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game, very inventive. Enjoyed it a lot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good precision platformer, retro style, good music, fun mechanics, challenging, collectibles, unique boss fights, 4th wall breaking, and a bit disturbing. I enjoyed it thoroughly
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Triple Take is a 2D pixelated precision platformer with bullet hell elements and meta-game interactions. These interactions involve actually going through your documents to progress the game. It does have psychological horror in it and tends to break the fourth wall just like the aforementioned document gameplay. Triple Take is surprisingly fun and addictive to play. I would say that it's criminally underrated because it's well crafted in its gameplay and story. Skip to the verdict if you want…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Triple Take is a new school precision platformer with an old school vibe; fans of the 8-bit era will feel right at home with the blocky sprites, simple colour schemes and fun (but limited) soundtrack. There’s enough variety in the levels to keep you interested, though it does undermine the premise a little, and the physics aren’t as tight as I would personally ask for, but boy, does it deliver on storytelling. The plot of Triple Take carries so much more water than I expected from a platformer,…
