What people are saying
Mixed: praised for realism, but criticised for DLC pricing and voice recognition issues.
Many players praise the game for its realistic ATC simulation and immersive experience, with one FAA controller calling it 'better than what they use at the academy' (R5). Others find it enjoyable once properly configured, noting it 'works very well even after the latest update' (R1). [5][1]
However, many players criticise the game's voice recognition as inconsistent and frustrating, with one stating 'the poor voice recognition kills the game experience' (R23). The high DLC prices are also a major complaint, with players saying 'they charge an arm and a leg for other airports' (R3) and calling it 'greedy dlc pricing' (R29). [23][3][29]

60 of 206 · most liked first**Updated review after further testing** After initially leaving a negative review, I want to update it. After spending more time with the settings, I realized that **Tower Simulator 3 actually works very well even after the latest update**, but **it requires proper configuration**. The default settings are not optimal and can easily give the impression that the game is broken or unstable. Most of the issues I experienced (especially with communication and controls) were caused by incorrect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend the game, but i cant give it a good review due to the prices of its content. 20 dollars per airport is greedy, when they probably cost around 10 at best. notwithstanding.. They do update it, and sometimes come out with good stuff. Its difficult to master and make sure you have a decent microphone before playing. the busier airports will make you pull your hair out, and you can, (spoiler) pay more money to get actual liveries and callsigns for the planes, like jet blue and delta…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In short, the poor voice recognition kills the game experience. You know how a chain is only as strong as the weakest link? This game really drives that point home. With beautiful visuals, surprisingly accurate portrayals, and a very immersive feel, this seems like a winner right off of the gate. However, for myself (and many others) the voice recognition simply underperforms. The aircraft understand my commands like I just came from the dentist and forgot to take out the cotton balls. Falling…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**EDITED FOR POST "VOICES" UPDATE** Thought I'd structure this better after the most recent major update. Disclaimer: I like this series, I used to play T!3D Pro all the time years ago. It definitely had past issues, some fixed, some stayed the same unfortunately. I'd love to recommend it as well, and probably would if it were priced better. But alas, here we are. Big issue 1: Pricing The base game itself is way too much, however I do know the team is small. I don't know what financial…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh boy. I haven't played this game since 2023 - it was quite promising back then, just still young in development and too many issues to be fully enjoyable. So after 3 years I thought I may give it another try. But what did I come back to? Complete greed, the devs going the EA way with locking everything behind DLCs which now rack up to $1500. And that isn't even the worst part: Certain airports used to be part of the core game in 2023 (like KLAS) but now have been removed and put ibehind a $20…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Negative Review (for the time being): I'm an Aviation Communication student and the voice recognition was just, really iffy. Refunded the game for the time being although I would probably come back to it soon after some hotfixes. I liked the idea but its unfortunate that this game is held back by a Windows 11 update that removed the old speech recognition.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT RECOMMEND If you are buying Tower! Simulator 3 with any intention of playing multiplayer with friends, save your money. What could have been an incredible air traffic control simulator has been left to rot under neglectful engineering, fragile netcode, and a development and moderation team that actively dismisses core game-breaking flaws. The Multiplayer "Experience" is an Unplayable Slog Attempting to run a multiplayer session in this game is not simulation—it is an exhausting,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. It's just as the title says, an airport tower simulator that has a great concept, fidelity to realism, and incredible gameplay loop. Here are the things the game does well: This game makes you feel like an airport controller. When playing by yourself, you control ground and tower, so at busy airports, you feel like an absolute boss when you've got your flow down and guide giant planes around without incident. Unlike other reviewers, I don't feel like I'm fighting the voice…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All of the greedy dlc pricing of a paradox game without any of the quality.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve sunk about thirty hours into Tower! — and as someone who grew up around one of the world’s best airports, WSSS, my love for aviation runs ridiculously deep. After six years of working there, it’s become a complicated sort of affection, so a game that lets you run a control tower sounded like the ultimate dream. And to be fair, at first, it really is. The visuals are stunning, the sound of clearance calls and the thrill of guiding aircraft from gate to take-off — it’s pure bliss for any…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tower Simulator 3 is great… with conditions. If this is your niche, it’s legitimately good — especially with Real Traffic and mods like TS3 Assistant and T3Scheduler. It’s not perfect, and I wouldn’t recommend it blindly, but as a civilian wanting something that feels authentic within simulator limits, this is about as close as it gets. The sim looks good. It flows well. The overall sound design is solid. When everything clicks, it really clicks. A lot of reviews complain about communication…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is fine, but voice recognition and dlc prices are abysmal, voice recognition is way too inconsistent, it makes the experience very stressful most of the time. World traffic and liveries bundle costs 3x more than the game itself at where i live, and the airports costs more than half the game's price on steam, simply abysmal.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend it, BUT, at a major discount. The reason is they charge an arm and a leg for other airports and if you want real aircraft names and liveries, you have to pay an extra $50. They know the base game is boring and immersion killing with fake airliners. You will spend some time getting to know the product before you can play it. You don’t with most, but especially with this. Watch videos and spend a few days learning what to say and how to say it. It’s not like actual ATC so you’ll…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tower Simulator? Nope, A DLC simulator, Requires a Lots of DLC to play realistic
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game came out in 2022 and I find it hard to believe that the voice recognition is this terrible in 2026. More frustrating than fun to play. Refunded. Not worth the price for the state it is in.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is worth $15-20 at most in its current state. Graphics are horrendous for $60, communication is also excruciatingly painful to try and do as it picks up things you don't even say, and lastly but certainly the most important, the sheer amount of DLC's and their price alone are like buying another game entirely and add bare minimum content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, not worth the price. I was sceptical when I saw how bad the reviews were, and some parts I agree with and others I don't. Firstly, DO NOT buy the game at full price. I bought it at Christmas time for over half price, and in my opinion the 40-50 dollars they are charging is daylight robbery. The main selling point of the game for me was that you could actually talk to the AI pilots and not have to continuously typing - which is where the majority of the people begin to hate the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently won't recognize voice commands. A problem with Windows, I guess. Now have $250 worth of game I can't use.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The whole basis of this game is to use your voice to command pilots as you would in a legitimate ATC setting. The voice recognition just isn't up to par for this price point. The game looks great and definitely had potential. The voice recognition is so bad when my microphone is perfect crisp and clear on playback. I tried saying a simple and short landing clearance for Rainer 502 and it picks up "RAA502 C & D Via A Cleared to left downwind Cleared to land runway 28". Idk if its because of my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fix the comms system in this game. refuses to understand what im saying and will put its own commands when you tell it to do something. like i would say clear to land and the system would put face wind left like thats not even close. until this is fixed im giving a downvote.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best overall ATC sim out there. Granted it has some inaccuracies but as an FAA controller, its better than what they use at the academy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are looking for a broken game, you have found it. Speech recognition is a hit or miss. Then you try to use the good old keyboard commands. The game is designed in a way that you HAVE to use the context command menus and they fail a lot. You want to send a command to an aircraft on ground, only flight commands show up, you want to command an airplane in flight, only ground commands show up. Then, in a desperate move, you try to type the command yourself, using the same words as the game,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game if you're controlling without voice, all the commands are wrong, most are missing. I was unable to land aircraft, or have any take off. I refunded after 75 minutes of trying to figure it out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really excited for this game, but sadly it falls short in every aspect. The voice recognition is doing a terrible job. There's no keybind for verification so if it screws up you wind up messing up. In multiplayer nobody's voice was recognizd. The AI tts is just terrible microsoft sam level. In this day and age they could at least have used polly or pregenned better audio. Concept is amazing don't get me wrong, but the state of the game is just too rough to suggest it. As someone with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Frustrating Step Backward for ATC Sims (It only took 13 min of playtime to see this) Not Recommended As someone who spends a lot of time in modern simulators like MSFS 2024, jumping into Tower! Simulator 3 feels like a massive regression. It’s marketed as a modern ATC experience, but in reality, it’s a clunky, dated mess that feels like it belongs in 2012. The Breaking Points: The UI is a Disaster: The interface is incredibly unintuitive. I spent more time wrestling with window layouts…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Voice recognition is a joke. Playing it by just text sucks so i refunded the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Idea. The game has everything down except for the most important part. The speech. It seems half the time the aircraft can't understand me while I am speaking perfectly fine. The most important part of the game is the worst part of this game. It is terrible and they need to get it fixed ASAP. I have had this game and It seems like the problem is never ending.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved this game, but the new voice recognition, specifically the pilot readbacks, have absolutely ruined it. It takes pilots FOREVER to read back instructions, and they may or may not do what you are asking them to. Super frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have bought this game in the Steam Summer Sale for half off, which came to 25 euros. Like many of the reviews posted before me, I feel like this should be the base price for this game. The AI is fine, but the listening part is terrible. If you have the fake names, make sure the system can listen to these names. I have come into really bad situations because they didn't listen. This is basically the base functionality for this game, and it doesn't work properly. The extra DLCs are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**Title: Terrible voice recognition ruins the entire game** Tower Simulator 3 sounded like a game I would really enjoy, but the voice recognition is so bad that it completely ruins the experience. A game like this depends on commands being understood clearly and consistently, and this one fails at that basic job. I spent more time fighting with the voice system than actually playing the game. Commands that should be simple either do not register, get misunderstood, or require repeating…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It only took me a few mins to realise the others were right, the voice recognition system of this game sucks. I’m absolutely sure it’s not my headset’s mic problem. And paying 29 dollars for real airlines is a scam, the devs should make all real life airports in game right now into DLC and ask for 50 dollars for each. Don’t buy this game unless it is having a 80% discount or you have strong dedication on playing this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I desperately want to like this game, but it's just not good. It can't even deliver what it sets out to do. The voice recognition just does not work. Forget what the devs or other people are saying, it simply does not work. There is no fix for this because the software isn't recognizing what you say, it's just trying to see if you're saying what it want to hear. That's because you need to read off all the commands exactly how they listed it in the pdf. For example, if I am asking a pilot to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Intentions are cool but the voice recognition is horrible in this game. I have to yell or if i say forinstance Alpha it detect Golf like dude come on so anoying....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not bad, but not a 50$ + 1000$ on DLC game. In a good offer you can buy it and maybe your local airport, but all too expensive. The voice recognition works, but sometimes it doesnt work well and it doen't let you rectify so you have to wait for it to clear.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Voice Recognition makes the game unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game with lots of potential, however poor voice recognition takes away from the immersion. Absolutely not worth 40 bucks. Developer seems to be using their time to publish new £20 DLCs rather than fixing the biggest issues. If this game was £15 this review would have been positive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay itself is nice, if the voice recognition is working as it should. Managed to finish my first 2 hour session after some restarts and ragequits because of failing voice commands. Especially frustrating when I want to clear an aircraft for take off, I see voice recognition writing "cleared", than after saying take off corrects it to "via e". Not to mention one of the aircrafts didn't want to take off, probably because I first used a wrong command. Game just felt more like voice…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would be good if: 1. The speech recognition actually worked. 2. You didn't have to spend half the game's price in DLC to pick up *one* extra airport. Really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inexcusable that there's this many DLC for a game not even worth its full price. These extra airports should be, collectively, maybe $10. The game itself is only worth like $20.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yep the voice recogniser isn't working for me now either. i've tried headset mic, professional level video mic and still not good enough. Every other application related to voice recognition, including Discord is fine. i get 5 x 5 on everthing except this. game. Until such time they fix the voice recog, I currently cannot recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game CAN be good but they need to fix the blurry ghrapics and more speach options because you have no freedom.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful game. Voice commands dont work at all.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll give it a thumbs up but its not a BIG one. It has some improvements over Tower!3D though but also a nice amount of new bugs appeared and on base game airports as well. I cannot disagree that to these devs pumping out DLC is looking to be more important than fixing bugs. Some arriving smaller airplanes like to race onto taxiways like handbraking a rally car at 90mph instead of stopping in front of the line which seperates the runway with the taxiway. That can have FATAL concequences. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The voice recognition is absolutely terrible. I have followed every guide and instruction on this topic, spending several hours on troubleshooting, testing different microphones and so on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NGL the game it self is pretty nice but the voice recognize is so bad that sometimes i have to use the command panel to input the actual thing(and the command panel is basicly sh!t)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is broken. After I downloaded the English language on my computer, the game keeps recognizing something completely different from what I’m actually saying. I think that at this point it should work a bit better, especially for the price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could be a cool game, the voice recognition is so bad that it ruins the experience completely.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The voice recognition is one of the most essential features in this game and yet it does not work in the slightest.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am no expert on ATC stuff but I loved Pushing Tin movie and I really loved looking at airports livestream and planes taxing, landing and take off. I have been playing 'I am Air Traffic Controller 4' game for the longest time that I can remembered, (first thing in the morning with my coffee) and I have been following this TS3 out for quite sometime. Since it is on Black Friday deals, I pulled the trigger. I can say it is a learning curve changing from more arcadee ATC sim to TS3 but not a…

Simulator 3, developed and published by FeelThere, represents the latest evolution in the studio’s long-running line of air traffic control simulations. Designed for those who want to experience the demanding, methodical world of aviation management from the perspective of a tower controller, the game attempts to replicate the pressure and precision of coordinating takeoffs, landings, and taxi operations at real-world airports. From the moment it starts, the game establishes a highly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game in it's current state is only good because it cornered a niche market for multiplayer Tower Simulation. The Offline Features have been broken for a little more than a year now. The multiplayer should you modify your airplane files for liveries well now you've got "Database Missmatch" (yes that's actually what's written in the lobby to replace "Ready"). The Dev's refuse to acknowledge that this is an issue and insist it was what we, the community, requested. If the Airport DLC's price…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't had any of the issues other people have had. The voice recognition works good, the ai pilots respond well and listen to commands. Some of it is on a "you must learn strictly how to say it" basis, as in some things need to be said specifically or they just flat out won't work. For instance, when an aircraft requests to pushback, you must say "pushback approved" for planes with a pushback truck, or "approved" for planes that don't. Using either in the opposite situation will result in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was cautious about pulling the trigger on this sim after reading through the reviews, but very glad I did. Easy to get in to if you have an aviation background, but complete beginners can ease in with a quieter airport with traffic density turned down. The pay mods do add a lot if you want the real airline liveries and call signs, but the base game works well enough.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY want to to enjoy this game. On the odd occasion I can get it to work correctly, it's wonderful! Super immersive, accurate, and fun. However, I find most of my play time has been trying to fix bugs, get the speech recognizer to work, restarting after the game crashes, etc. As you can see, I've played it a lot and have enjoyed the stints I could get it to work. Probably half that time was just fighting with it. You need to have a solid understanding of your system and how to…
