STATE OF DECAY 2, a bit. I'd take a TOTAL WAR with base management but a smaller -- oh shit it's CULT OF THE LAMB.

unlabelledView post →I am leaving this review here so future me doesn't forget what this game is like. If future me is reading this, you're here again because, total war looks really fun to play, I get that. What you're forgetting is how little base game provides. Everything is locked under dlc. I know you don't like dlcs, it's like receiving a chair without the legs and you have to pay extras. Don't buy the chair with no legs.

You will also get Total War Warhammer 3 big campaign map FREE with this purchase. This game is not worth more than 20 dollars. Only DLC that is rated Very Positive and above is worth getting at a max of 7 dollars. If you're like me, and I know I am, you like learning stuff about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms but find its scale and massive cast of characters kinda daunting. unlabelledView post →the best of the three games. would recommend people neither buy 1 or 3 and instead be happy with 2. edit: i bought warhammer 3, was thoughly pissed off with CA with their approach to DLC and the art style and cramped world of 3. i bought this game for unlocking factions in warhammer 3. my review of warhammer 3 is massively negative. since then i have put 100 hours into warhammer 2. i can say this is the BEST of the 3 games and a genuine fun dive into the world of warhammer fantasy. i have…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7.5/10 Best total war warhammer game out of three, turns get really long towards the end game and its a bit too much wait time, but other than that it is fun, its hard to get in to for new players. overall enjoyable total war.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little late with reviewing this game since its 3 years into the launch... of the 3rd game in this series but better late then never. Great game that really pushed the bounds of the first one. First they made the mortal empires map which is a huge achievement and really only surpassed by the later immortal empires (although that one seems to have pushed game 3 to its limits and is not stable at all) in scale, scope and looks. Secondly the faction variety is excellent, although a lot of that is…

unlabelledView post →As of this date, I haven't yet switched to Warhammer III. "Why?" You may ask, given its better siege mechanics, diplomacy, and so on and so forth... One, my laptop would likely burst into flames after prolonged gameplay, but two - and more importantly - I can't simply leave this one behind, not yet. I have played it for 500+ hours and have not yet managed to play all of the factions I wanted to explore. Their individual “quests”, to be exact - the Vortex campaigns. Discounting the basic ones…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not only you have to buy 50%(or more) of the game as dlc`s, but blood in total war game is also a dlc. Not only some gameplay features are logically ass backwards and infuriating. Not only you can play multiplayer campains only with one of your friends, despite there being like 15 other staring options. But now it turns out CA stores your safe files and checks your dlc(which you bought and downloaded) on cloud and not any cloud, but god awfull Epic Games servers, which gives more reason to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I own all 3 games in the TW:Warhammer series and all of the DLC's. I've been playing since the first one launched back in 2016, so buying DLC over the last almost 10 years wasn't as daunting as someone new looking at getting into these games. I have recently gone back to this game because I truly believe it is the strongest entry of the series and I only say that because it built upon everything great that the first game already had. TWW 3 at this point just feels like 2 steps back in…

unlabelledView post →If you like Warhammer Fantasy and fantasy overall, then you should play this game. In my opinion Warhammer 2 is the best in the serie. Even better than the 3rd instalment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to enjoy this game because I've been a long-time fan of the historical Total War titles. The battles are visually impressive, and there's clearly a lot of content, but Warhammer just wasn't for me. My biggest issue is how much the game revolves around magic, abilities, monsters, and faction-specific mechanics. Compared to games like Napoleon or Empire, where good tactics and positioning could carry you through most battles, Warhammer feels much more dependent on bringing the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have 150 hours on TW: Warhammer I, and 500 on TW: Warhammer II. It seems like Creative Assembly isn't the same company which made TW: Rome, Medieval, and this one. Recent offerings are meh at best, and they seem to have evolved into a cash-grab developer. But I find the two Warhammer games to be the best in the series (III was less than meh). Whether you combine I and II and play Immortal Empires, or just play II, the gameplay in II completely sucks me in. It can be frustrating, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fix whatever you broke on the backend. The fact the game refuses to keep local saves or let you play the already verified and installed DLCs when your servers go down is INSANE. Single player functions should not be affected by online usage. I've seen some people with 65 Hour+ campaigns completely wiped and unable to access. Do better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sid Meier's Civilization mixed with the most satisfying RTS I've ever played. Unbelievably addicting. One second you are negotiating trade relations and building your cities, the next you are commanding an army of 1000 soldiers. Incredible animations during the massive clashes. Highlight of my gameplay so far was after a long fight, all of my melee troops were exhausted and battered. I had everyone retreat to my archers, and from there, one final push to hold the enemy at bay as overwhelming…
