unlabelledView post →Thor: Ragnarok not just the best Thor movie but arguably best mcu movie
unlabelledView post →They should also have a special Oscar each year for a movie that never was considered for Oscars but everyone has always liked. Get the entire cast of Adventures in Babysitting up there. Get D'Onofrio to wear the Thor helmet again.
unlabelledView post →Fun fact: It took until Thor: Love and Thunder for the MCU to have more comic book film adaptations than the newspaper comic Blondie
unlabelledView post →Got the kids to watch "The Martian". "Wow mum, that was a space film that was actually good!" Huh? "You know - real. Not just full of aliens... or Thor."
unlabelledView post →He-man movie is good. Very fun. Felt a lot like good early marvel movies but also Thor Ragnarok. It was EXTREMELY POLISHED but not over-produced and I have barely any criticism. Which is a strong compliment for a movie that could easily be done extremely poorly.
unlabelledView post →Yeah this is also a huge element. Captain America: The First Avenger is a very earnest film so the character is very earnest. Thor was a melodrama so the character is melodramatic. Iron Man was a bombastic action comedy so Stark is loud and sarcastic. There’s contrast kept in between everyone
unlabelledView post →Status report, ":MCU Watchthrough" dep't: So, having finally got around to THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, I have to ask: ...was everybody involved with this film stoned the whole time? I mean, in pre-production *and* shooting *and* post-prod? Asking, just to, you know... ask. 😅

unlabelledView post →Thor: Love and Thunder had a $144,165,107 opening weekend. A movie about a space god with lightning powers, screaming goats, and Natalie Portman’s biceps. Producers and directors have already figured out which god audiences prefer.
unlabelledView post →Marvel giving us a film called Avengers: Doomsday after we’ve already had Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame has the same energy as me calling a manuscript file Novel_final_revised_REVISED_finalfinalTHISVERSION.doc.
unlabelledView post →Related: I am now in Year 16 of never quite remembering which Hemsworth that is. This movie has the Thor one.
unlabelledView post →"MCU movies don't automatically make a billion now" will always vex me. That was never a thing! 2018-2019 and Black Panther and Captain Marvel making so much has forever skewed perspective. No Ant-Man, GotG or Thor movie ever made a billion and the only Cap movie to do it was also an Avengers movie.
unlabelledView post →That Thor trailer yesterday has a lot of people bitching about Taika again, so friendly reminder that the Thor from Infinity War, Endgame, and Doomsday only exists because Taika made him relevant and made a top 5 MCU movie in the process with Ragnarok
unlabelledView post →If you tell me that Thor: Love and Thunder is the worst superhero movie you’ve ever seen then I’m assuming you haven’t seen very many.

unlabelledView post →Chris Hemsworth as Thor is proving to be the best casting in a comic book movie in film history. Absolutely insane return on investment. Especially considering the first two Thor movies kind of sucked.
unlabelledView post →Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk & Jack Colvin as Thor, from 1988’s TV movie “The Incredible Hulk Returns”. (I’d be far more interested in the upcoming Avengers movie if these two were returning.)
unlabelledView post →Art Post: My 2010 licensing art for the original Thor movie. This was the final piece that I did for this film, and it's the one I like the most. By this point I had Hemsworth's likeness pretty well, and I knew what the final costume would look like.

unlabelledView post →Thor: The Dark World remains an excruciatingly boring movie to actually watch, but it's got some key bits of the Loki/Thor relationship built up over like 5 films. Those bits play that much better w/ the full context. Is it enough to make the film good? No. But it does impact your reaction *to* it!
unlabelledView post →Confession: other than the original Iron Man (which I got free tix for), I had not seen a single MCU film until the last few weeks when the family started watching them in order. Just got through Thor.
unlabelledView post →The best and most iconic MCU casting was Vincent D’Onofrio… as Thor… in Adventures in Babysitting in 1987

unlabelledView post →I guess the one positive is the film doesn’t seem to want to make a joke out another celebrated Hulk story. *looks at Thor Ragnarok*
unlabelledView post →Thor: Love and Thunder is a straight up comfort film for me. Idgaf what the haters say or that this movie is partially the reason everyone became anti-comedy in blockbusters: I. Love. It.

unlabelledView post →I haven't seen a Marvel film since Thor: Ragnarok (2017!) but a friend of mine was a graphic designer on Doomsday and said he has put my name in the film so I have to go and see it to check if my name is visible (all depends on the camera angles) It had better not be over 3 hours long
unlabelledView post →I mean, yeah that’s dumb, but it still doesnt beat the time she had a rage driven fit because she didn’t understand the plot of famously complicated film Thor: Love and Thunder
unlabelledView post →Thunderbolts was really good! The fun was back in the MCU (not in the dorky way like GOTG/Thor: Rag). Sensitive subjects were handled effectively and I almost welled up. My cinema need to do more about people that talk through most of the film...
