unlabelledView post →Oh shit, I didn't even know he passed. That's a bummer. Yeah, he certainly elevated every movie. Even his small role in This Boy's Life (1993), as the college recruiter who interviews DiCaprio for the prep school. When I saw him appear I said "holy smokes, that's the guy from TerrorVision!", lol

unlabelledView post →probably filmed in Vancouver? I know the film This Boy's Life (w/ Leonardo DiCaprio) was filmed in Concrete, but I've never seen the movie!
unlabelledView post →Isn't that a reference to De Niro in the film This Boy's Life?
unlabelledView post →I really enjoyed *This Boy's Life* (1993), a Dicaprio movie that I think deserves more attention. Great soundtrack (by Carter Burwell), too. Also, one of Robert Deniro's best roles as a *very* unsympathetic stepfather.

unlabelledView post →Not too great today (I flubbed one of the answers). Clooney, Knightley, & Maguire. I got to use This Boy's Life which is cool, apparently Maguire was supposed to actually star, but was afraid of De Niro. #FilmSky Movie Grid - 04/14/2026: 8/9 Correct Score: 2336 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩 www.moviegrid.io

I've only seen the guy in likeable roles, 'Meet the Parents' is as close as a portrayal has come to being unlikeable. Dwight, in this, is despicable! All the aforementioned is simply a plus point for the film, though. It's obviously not overly difficult to make a person garner hatred, but I do appreciate that we see how Dwight becomes the way he is - e.g. the shooting scene. It…
