Reiniger's is the first surviving animated feature film and Fairbanks's is an extraordinary feat of art direction and special effects.

Her role in the popular silent film The Thief of Bagdad (1924) with Douglas Fairbanks further boosted her profile, making her a recognized face globally. /3

Was only just singing her praises as the film’s surviving cast member (Glynis Johns died at 100 last year) in a soon-to-be-released audio commentary for the film. #vale

It's actually part of the National Film Registry too. A warning though, its dated with orientalist imagery. 🇮🇶
