The Story of Us
Directed by Rob Reiner
After 15 years of marriage, Katie and her husband, Ben, have grown apart. While they keep up the facade of having a contented marriage, mostly to not worry their children, they aren't happy together and argue frequently. While the kids are away at camp, Katie and Ben decide to separate and try to reassess their relationship to see if they should stay together or split up for good. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Underappreciated Rob Reiner film that I thoroughly enjoyed – The Story of Us, with Bruce Willis & Michele Pfeiffer. Reiner and Rita Wilson also gave really good, funny performances in their supporting roles. #RIPRobReiner #FilmSky youtu.be/Dih4PuxFJu4

During the previews, the projector kept breaking. Trailer for The Story of Us comes on. I had never seen it before...

unlabelledView post →The Story of Us is underrated. Hollywood does not like to examine the ever after. All of Reiner's films had heart and character, and have greatly inspired me and sustained my interest in film as an art form.

unlabelledView post →The Story of Us I don't think any other movie I've seen in theaters comes close to this. Even bad movies I can remember the experience. This one was blocked out so much that the only memory I think I even have of the film is Rob Reiner arguing that your butt is really just the top of your legs.

unlabelledView post →19. The Story of Us (1999) I don’t think I ever need to see another movie about people who hate each other going through a divorce. Even Paul Reiser and Rob Reiner can’t get laughs in this depressing mess.
