positive · AI labelView post →I’ll start. This summer I gave a talk on ecofeminism in the TV series The Silent Sea. That has inspired me to start working on a new book about South Korean science fiction film and television. It’s a whole new research thread for me, and I’m really excited for it!
neutral · AI labelView post →#DramaJobChallenge I didn't watch the series, but one of my absolute favorites, Bae Doona, plays an astrobiologist in The Silent Sea. #Kdrama

positive · AI labelView post →The family finally finished THE SILENT SEA, a 2021 South Korean streaming television series starring Bae Doona, Gong Yoo and Lee Joon. We've been watching it on Sundays along with a family dinner. Overall, we liked it a lot. The cast is excellent and the production value is quite good for a series, especially the sets. IMO the story has a few of gaps & leaves open a lot of questions, but perhaps they'll make a second season. Overall, I would recommend it. #TheSilentSea #Netflix #ScienceFiction
positive · AI labelView post →I do love me some space horror. If you’re ever looking for a Korean version of it, Netflix’s “The Silent Sea” series is really good. (And Gong Yoo is in it) #fullmoonfrights
positive · AI labelView post →I have to confess I don't have the patience for a lot of American made movies because they seem so...homogenized.. Formulaic. You can guess everything that's going to happen. Most of the #scifi I've enjoyed lately has come from South Korea. One series that was amazing was THE SILENT SEA. Brilliant!
positive · AI labelView post →I have started watching #TheSilentSea (Korean sci-fi drama on netflix) and am enjoying it so far. It seems to be the #DoctorWho story "The Waters of Mars," except set on the Moon, and with a background of massive water shortages back on Earth. I'm not complaining about this. The Waters of Mars was one of the better Doctor Who stories, I think, and worthy inspo. (Of course it's possible that The Silent Sea's writer has no knowledge of The Waters of Mars, and the similarities are just a…

positive · AI labelView post →Haven't watched much movies if any this year. In recent years i remember watching on Christmas Eve and/or night a Korean sci-fi series on Netflix called 'The Silent Sea' and a George Clooney Sci-fi called 'Midnight Sky'. The former a mission to the moon due to lack of water on Earth. #aew
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh, I have some recommendations: The Glory- revenge series with some villains that you love to hate The Silent Sea- interesting space horror that does some clever things Crash Landing on You- Romantic story with some incredible actors on the docket Mask Girl- a series of very poor decisions

neutral · AI labelView post →Rewatched the South Korean series The Silent Sea yesterday. Was good the first time and got even more subtle creepiness the second time viewing.
positive · AI labelView post →I'm pretty particular about my scifi, so here are my top three series picks for anyone wanting to indulge. 1. The Expanse 2. Dark 3. The Silent Sea
positive · AI labelView post →I also did free flow immersion (Thai audio, no subtitles). I watched the drama series about the Menendez brothers on Netflix in Thai, and watched a Korean space horror series called The Silent Sea that actually kind of slaps. I still need more vocabulary and better listening skills tho.
positive · AI labelView post →I love the scifi series, The Silent Sea and the horror series, Sweet Home... Plus there's a lot of thriller/suspense/mystery stuff that is just amazing... I always go in and look for something new and always find something great! Train To Busan was killer!
positive · AI labelView post →Did you guys watch "The Silent Sea"? Korean show on Netflix? It's got a majorly melancholy space vibe to it. Maybe worth a look if you haven't seen it. More sci-fi than For All Mankind, for sure. But we dug that one too.
positive · AI labelView post →If you’re at #ISAVirtual2023 this week, come see me talk about ecofeminism in the KSF series The Silent Sea. Wednesday at 4PM ET!
neutral · AI labelView post →This doesn't quite fit the question because I think the show is still good. But, The Silent Sea really falls apart in the last episode. It feels like instead of a solid ending they try to sequel bait it instead, and there is not enough there to make more. It's only 10 episode so worth watching still
neutral · AI labelView post →Space Sweepers, The Silent Sea. I mean I watched a couple of Swedish detective series and now I'm Nordic.

neutral · AI labelView post →The Silent Sea is a nice sci-fi series that mixes thriller elements with mystery. The search for a mysterious sample in an isolated base on the Moon leads to a slow, deliberate progression of the story, with secrets gradually unveiled until an ending full of action and emotion.
positive · AI labelView post →From a writing/ideas standpoint, the lunar seas having real water is a nice, almost poetic underpinning to the series. If you like sci-fi, I'd give The Silent Sea a watch. There are certainly worse programmes out there.

positive · AI labelView post →I enjoyed 고요의 바다 (The Silent Sea), the Korean mostly-scifi series. Creative idea combining the coming desertification of Earth &desperate science (fiction). It's been done yrs now, so I'd guess no more's coming. I'm ok with that, but there are at least 2 things I'd want to know more from the ending.
positive · AI labelView post →But 'The Silent Sea' works much better for a title of a spooky show! So I wonder if they decided on purpose to not do localization for that very reason. They could have chosen a different title altogether, but it's a good title! I'm so curious about it. 2/2
neutral · AI labelView post →Spouse and I finished watching the first season of Picard. We both love TNG. And many of the characters in this Picard show are endearing. Not the best story or script, tho. Afterwards, Spouse said, "are there any sci-fi #kdrama shows? They have better writers." LOL. So now I'm making him watch #TheSilentSea with me. As we also start watching season 2 of Picard. 😉 Any other sci-fi kdrama or #cdrama or #TaiwaneseDrama you'd recommend? #SpaceSweepers was also good.
positive · AI labelView post →@AnnaAnthro I saw a few episodes of #Kingdom but couldn't really get into it. I did add #Stranger when I realized it was on Netflix. Also, #TheSilentSea which I really liked. Yes, she was fabulous in #Sense8 and it's the reason why I started following her and a few of the other actors with their future roles.

neutral · AI labelView post →I'd like to add the Korean show The Silent Sea that is pretty cool, Starfield for its niche nasapunk visuals and Halo 2/3 because orbital elevator are cool af and not enough considered in the genre (also, it's more logical to build a spaceship in the space than on the ground)
positive · AI labelView post →3/3) Some of my favourite K-Dramas either don't involve these themes, or they do but seek to subvert them in certain ways. Would recommend Crash Landing on You and Doctor Slump. Some South Korean SciFi stuff also 10/10. The Silent Sea is great, as is a new series called When The Stars Gossip.
positive · AI labelView post →Thank you! I downloaded another Korean series called The Silent Sea I'm excited to check out.
positive · AI labelView post →The Silent Sea NEtflix show It was ok, First half was really interesting and the second half was really mediocre to bad. Lots of bad tropes near the end and things that made little to no sense. Mid at best so don't expect a lot out of it but it did look nice and the dub was decent.
negative · AI labelView post →What about “The Silent Sea” - that Korean mini-series about weird water on the moon (starring Bae Doo-Na and Gong Yoo) It’s pretty good, if you handwave the ending.
positive · AI labelView post →Yeah, I watched a Korean SF show (The Silent Sea) and the hotshot coded as such turned out to be a jerk, and the solution involved everyone working together. I had to juggle my expectations.
positive · AI labelView post →Watched the first two episodes of "#TheSilentSea" on #netflix . I like it, but the story is completely unrealistic: The post-climate-change earth is a dry wasteland. Water is rationed, food is scarce, humanity struggles to survive. A spaceship survives a crash-landing on the moon after propulsion fails in orbit, then slides across the moon surface just to stop on the brink of a steep cliff. Still, the astronauts are only 8 km from their intended destination and decide to walk there. The moon…
positive · AI labelView post →@hanktank61 @EllenInEdmonton @whoosh is it #TheSilentSea #kdrama ? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Silent_Sea_(TV_series) I haven't watched it but it certainly looks interesting! Backstreet Rookie is not a good #kdrama imho. The FL character is annoying, the plot is confused (at least as far as I've watched it) and it fails to grasp the viewer's interest in pursuing episodes
