positive · AI labelView post →The Secret Garden (1993). This movie is a huge part of me, a deep source of magic and aesthetic pleasure from my childhood. Cinematography by Roger Deakins (look him up). What a joy to share this film with my partner.
positive · AI labelView post →I haven't properly cried for a while. I just finished watching my favourite childhood film The Secret Garden. It brought to the surface how many plans I'd had for us that I'm grieving. Not just milestones. But our first film. Girly days. Showing you (badly) how to do your hair. #grief #childloss

positive · AI labelView post →"Be a shame if anything happened to her face!" Tonight's movie is Switchblade Sisters (1975), a trashy, lurid, violent girl-gang movie that makes Meiko Kaji's girl-girl movies feel like The Secret Garden.
neutral · AI labelView post →I rewatched The Secret Garden after TTPD release and there’s so much there! I swear “Robin” is inspired by this movie because it’s a Robin that helps the girl find the secret garden. The girls cousin is mostly bedridden at the beginning and he’s horrible to his staff and

An ideal adaptation of the classic children’s novel, with a score by the great Zbigniew Preisner - who considering his work with Kieślowski was a prolific film composer at the time!
neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight we’re watching the 90’s film version of the Secret Garden and having Smoked chicken, mushroom herb penne, and a squash blossom garden salad—crafted from scratch. A lot of the veggies we grew here on the homestead.
neutral · AI labelView post →I should have known I was trans because I was incredibly fixated on the Secret Garden movie growing up.

LOUIS, OUR VIVES HAVE TENDER GRAPES, LITTLE WOMEN, THE SECRET GARDEN, PERRY MASON, and more.
neutral · AI labelView post →Nothing sad about it. Some of the best English literature is books for younger people . Stuart Little is the best novel ever written. The Secret Garden is a much better book than any movie could ever be. Also true for a wrinkle in time throw out the movie just read the book.
neutral · AI labelView post →Funny enough, The Secret Garden is one I’d like to read. The 1993 film is one of my favorites. I’d like to read The Enchanted April, Middlemarch. Had it in my head to read Titus Andronicus soon. I change like the wind though… 🌷🐰 #BookishQOTD 📖🦋 #Booksky 💙📚
positive · AI labelView post →Share one of your “Secret Favorite” films. Not a film Everyone knows you love but one that you rarely ever show love for. The Secret Garden (1993). I can't explain it, it's totally out of my wheelhouse and not the typical movie I'd watch, but I still love it for whatever reason. 🤷🏼
positive · AI labelView post →You’re so right about the BTS!! I feel like she’s wanting us to connect the years from the BTS with the TN post, Opalite has more that we haven’t clocked yet about what is to come. The Secret Garden movie was released in 1993!
neutral · AI labelView post →if you’ve ever wondered how long Sad™️ has been a major component of my personality, i would like to share that when i was 5 my favorite movie was The Secret Garden (1993) & if that’s not melancholy af idk what is so the answer is, since forever
positive · AI labelView post →We had a dvd of the film ‘The Secret Garden’ which we lent to my in-laws when the children were staying with them. They played it when they were on their own and then banned our kids from watching it - something to do with a scene where they danced round a bonfire! 🤷♀️ Very strange people….
neutral · AI labelView post →Budget-label DVD releases are weird, man. Nearing the end of my shelf and got to Where On Earth is Carmen Sandiego, and for reasons beyond me (ownership rights, I guess), the set also includes the animated film The Secret Garden and a single episode of the PBS Kids show, Liberty's Kids.
neutral · AI labelView post →Big Announcement! I'm releasing an illustrated novel, which will be announced a bit later. To celebrate, I've created a "mash up" trailer to make a "what if" my book had been a 90's film. If you loved "The Secret Garden", "The NeverEnding Story," or "Hook", you'll want to check this out.
neutral · AI labelView post →Has anyone ever noticed The Eras Tour stage looks like the key from The Secret Garden film?
neutral · AI labelView post →The Secret Garden #fanart from earlier in the year! One of my fav nostalgic films tbh I absolutely adore the whole vibe of this film, plus heavily related to the very stubborn and moody character of Mary as a kid lol (as well as her sickly and pathetic cousin Colin lol)! #thesecretgarden #filmart

neutral · AI labelView post →Yesterday's film was The Secret Garden (1993). The most unlikable children slowly become nice people, but it's understandable why both are such arseholes at the start. A good adaptation and a lovely film.
positive · AI labelView post →Which film reminds you of your childhood the most? Only slightly beating out The Secret Garden because I distinctly remember seeing the trailer for this at a sit down Pizza Hut, and also I vaguely remember there was a tech difficulty at the theatre when I went to go see it.

neutral · AI labelView post →@theharvestmaid.bsky.social Have you seen the 1949 version of The Secret Garden? I just rewatched it and it plays like reverse Folk Horror. It opens with a shockingly bleak situation and the main character ends up in a rural setting where she is saved by the local traditions. A refreshing twist.
positive · AI labelView post →As you can tell from this movie pitch essay I wrote many years ago for 'The Secret Garden 2: Attack of the Wasps', I never did get over my issue with wasps, or my disappointment with The Secret Garden headstuff.org/entertainmen...
negative · AI labelView post →the cool thing about homeschooling is i can do what i want. so we’re testing out a new thing: “read a book during the week, & watch the movie over the weekend, discuss the similarities & differences” we’re starting with The Secret Garden.

It reminds me of The Secret Garden but dark with an added mystery twist. I loved that movie when I was young so I’m really enjoying this. 🌿 🩸📚 🌈🖤 💙 📚
neutral · AI labelView post →I am watching my favorite Maggie Smith movie The Secret Garden. It’s such a visual feast.
positive · AI labelView post →Reference is this still from The Secret Garden (1993)! I had totally forgotten about this movie... watched it a bunch as a kid but didn't understand anything except that there was a really cool looking key in it 😭
neutral · AI labelView post →Jules Vernes could be a consideration but I think for a 3rd film the main focal character should be female. The Secret Garden and Little Princess don’t fit the vibe. Wizard of Oz is something they already copy. Peter Pan is a little too problematic
neutral · AI labelView post →I have Marta McDowell’s Unearthing the Secret Garden to pick up at the library on Tuesday, so this evening I’m watching my recording of the 1949 movie. Have never seen it, though have seen other, more recent versions. 📚

positive · AI labelView post →Also, I did manage to fully upgrade all of the Taranis’s facilities, and all of its weapons, armour and reactor are fully upgraded. My NG+ run is just me going to get the last illustrations, and (God help me) the Secret Garden as well as unlocking the last few gears for the Secret Movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Excellent plan! Followed by hot cocoa and the movie. Rinse and repeat with “The Secret Garden.”
neutral · AI labelView post →Does anybody have a read of the Secret Garden where it's not intensely anti feminist? Every time I read it or watch a film adaptation, my overwhelming thought is that it paints worlds run by women as disordered and counter to human flourishing....
negative · AI labelView post →Today at the library an older woman wanted DVDs for a "smart 8-year-old girl." So I gave her The Secret Garden, the Lego Movie, and the most recent Muppets movie
