unlabelledView post →Time for movie #2! The next randomly selected movie is... The Ring Two, 2005

unlabelledView post →Today I watched The Ring Two. It’s a sequel of the remake, and also a remake of the sequel of the original and it’s by the original director of the non remake first one. Got all that? The director of the original, Hideo Nakata, did a sequel to his own movie AND a sequel to the American remake.
unlabelledView post →Probably The Pianist - a well-made movie, but pretty bleak (and in a grungy February in Michigan), which made for difficult conversations (including everything with Polanski). Actual worst movies were The Ring Two or Puddle Chaser, but those were better dates. #HATM, what about you all?

unlabelledView post →There's so many famous well-directed films that are well-loved, but instead of checking those out I'm prepping for my movie by watching The Ring Two and Amityville 3D
unlabelledView post →If Dreamworks still has all the footage shot for The Ring Two I could re-edit it into a better movie. Not a massive overhaul, just the pacing of individual scenes. Steven Spielberg. Give me a call. I’m available.
unlabelledView post →New After Midnight! @jesstures.bsky.social and I discuss our love for Samara Morgan in Gore Verbinski's US remake of Ringu. We also talk about whether the sequels are any good: the short film Rings, The Ring Two, and the feature-length Rings. www.afterlunchpodcast.net/2024/07/297-...
unlabelledView post →Heh, nice! :D You know you're in for an experience when that stuff happens organically. Had a similar experience with The Ring Two (the American movie). Yeah, it was a packed house, and we unanimously came to the decision to absolutely and totally and thoroughly savage that movie.

unlabelledView post →Gore Verbinski did The Ring (2002), a remake of Hideo Nakata's Ringu (1998) that was, by any objective measure, far superior to the original. Hideo Nakata was brought in to remake his own film, Ringu 2 (1999), as The Ring Two (2005). Travesty. Roger Ebert gave The Ring ★★ and The Ring Two ★★ ½ ???
unlabelledView post →On vacation so film time is limited, but thankfully hit this week's challenge with a late-night viewing of Fellowship of the Ring! Two families at least with Sean Astin (son of John Astin and brother of Mackenzie Astin) and Hugo Weaving (father of Harry Greenwood and uncle of Samara Weaving).
unlabelledView post →Wait, who’s being nostalgic for 2002? The best thing that year did was the theatrical edition of The Lord of the Ring: Two Towers, and even that’s the weakest film in the trilogy.

unlabelledView post →oh shit, right, I saw The Animal in theaters and that would be the worst movie I've ever seen if not for the single climactic joke that made me laugh putting it above The Ring Two and White Noise and Identity and other films I fully hated. Also Superman IV, even as a child I realized it sucked!
unlabelledView post →This pod had me going absolutely insane having read/watched things Ehren Kruger says about motherhood and children while promoting The Ring Two. Y’all don’t even KNOW how cursed this mf is lol. Also going insane because no one says “Gore Verbinski” once but I also think the movie is just ok so 🤷🏼♂️
unlabelledView post →The Binding of Isaac story gets used in American media to glorify child abuse. Aside from just generally being a bad movie, this is the main problem with The Ring Two. 🤷🏻♀️
unlabelledView post →Fun fact, THE RING TWO is actually the second film out of the nine we’ve covered so far that has a protagonist physically threatened by a deer
unlabelledView post →the short film RINGS included on The Ring DVD in anticipation of The Ring Two is fairly silly and altogether a different vibe from either The Ring or The Ring Two but it has a very very nice style. And some inspired effects work for something so slight.
unlabelledView post →#watching #horror The Ring Two (2005) dir. Hideo Nakata Despite being helmed by the director of the original Ring film this sequel didn't fare much better than the Ring 2 sequel. I didn't care for the possession angle. A short film Rings (2005) exists that expands on the opening sequence.
unlabelledView post →The trailers are for April 2005, since March is when THE RING TWO came out, and out of 8 this is maybe the worst one being advertised tonight. I wouldn’t know, I remember seeing this trailer in a theater myself but like many I did not see the movie
unlabelledView post →Absolutely, they're the best two by a mile. The US sequels are all pretty terrible, but there is also a prologue short to The Ring Two that I actually really like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGYI...
unlabelledView post →I'm going to watch The Ring Two. I've seen The Ring many times, but I've never seen the sequel. Even though I am confident that I've seen scarier films since, my brain is very convinced that The Ring is the scariest movie ever.
unlabelledView post →One of them I've already watched is The Ring Two (unrated cut) and this film isn't talked about or appreciated enough. A very weird psychological horror, may resonate more if you've had worries about your mental health and motherhood. Directed by Ringu's director and feels like a j-horror. #filmsky
unlabelledView post →The Ring Two I was a pretty big fan of the first and *wow* did they fuck up Two. Terrible movie all around, one of the worst I've ever seen

unlabelledView post →The synthetic uncanniness has aged this sequence in The Ring Two into basically the best, most unnerving scene in the movie.

unlabelledView post →If you have any other questions about RING (the novel), SPIRAL (the novel), RING (the movie), SPIRAL (the movie), RING 2 (the movie) or THE RING (the movie), I'm here for you LOL. I have also seen RING 0 but it's been too long. I will be watching THE RING TWO sometime soon.
unlabelledView post →I'm uncertain if I ever saw The Ring Two. I adore the first film, and called Rings the "Exorcist II of Ring films" but I've got no rating on Letterboxd for 2. And I thought Naomi Watts wasn't even in the sequel.
