(Don't worry, we've already played.) Good good mystery video game content to absorb 👌👌👌👌
unlabelledView post →So what's everyone getting in the Steam sale? I will likely buy: Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment Roottrees are Dead The Painscreek Killings & possibly the new Alex Hill game (not on sale though) and have them rot, unplayed, for months in my library 🎮🖥️🖱️
unlabelledView post →Okay I'm done haha For those who didn't know, the characters I posted today are all from the game The Painscreek Killings. A super tense and interesting investigation game I finished recently and fell completely in love with its story and complex characters. I highly recommend it!
unlabelledView post →35) The Painscreek Killings A detective game that REALLY doesn't hold your hand. Vote 4 Holt has a really interesting youtube series that analyzes how effective its mystery design is.
unlabelledView post →Me frantically writing notes and making connections as I play through "The Painscreek Killings" (this is the most fun I've ever had in a detective game)
unlabelledView post →The Painscreek Killings is my ideal video game. A big ol mystery to solve, very spooky and atmospheric, and Nothing Chases Me (so far) this last part is very important, i guess i have some kind of phobia about being hunted (tried to play laser tag once and had a panic attack 30 seconds in)
unlabelledView post →I think we're going to finish the main storyline of The Painscreek Killings tonight and this was a really well done game. It's a murder mystery with paranormal elements and light horror...so far. The premise is clever. An entire small town is abandoned because of economic and deadly misfortune.
unlabelledView post →(Commenting on my lrp) Return of the Obra Dinn is an amazing game if you enjoy very interactive mystery games please play it!!! I recommend that and The Painscreek Killings, I've been chasing the high of both and never found one like them No puzzles really btw, they're just lots of detective work
unlabelledView post →mkg friends i highly recommend playing The Painscreek Killings, it’s a super fun mystery game where you’re given a question and plopped down in an abandoned ghost town to solve it. you aren’t given any hints you have to just investigate and find ways to unlock doors and dig up info.
unlabelledView post →There usually isn't much point in playing a mystery game more than once but I've played The Painscreek Killings three times now and it hits every time. It's not scary or shocking, just relentlessly sad. Feels like being drip-fed raw melancholia for a few hours. My heart hurts.
unlabelledView post →Thinking back to a documentary on the wonderful mystery game The Painscreek Killings (play it) and how if you look up a hint even once then.... You might go back again. The fruit is so sweet.
unlabelledView post →And if you're in the mood for a more traditional mystery along with a level breakdown of video game structure and storytelling, Vote4Holt's series on The Painscreek Killings is fantastic. youtube.com/playlist?lis...
unlabelledView post →I love deduction games, ever since notpr0n lol. I'll check this one out. I recommend The Painscreek Killings, which was the game that inspired me to learn gamedev. The Gladdening chamber was pretty good too, especially if you ever visited the /x/ board.
unlabelledView post →One of the best recent horror experiences I've had was in The Painscreek Killings, which isn't even a horror game. It's a mystery where you explore an abandoned town for clues. That is... until you realize that you're not actually alone. Someone or something else is still here... 🎮 #gaming #Horror
unlabelledView post →next game on the docket is: The Painscreek Killings, a walking simulator murder mystery that takes place in an abandoned town. this one will take longer cuz I can only play first person games in small bursts but I'm VERY into the premise and I've enjoyed what I played so far. #indiegames

unlabelledView post →Game 3 - The Painscreek Killings. A mostly enjoyable detective/investigation game where you need to solve the mystery of a murdered woman in an abandoned town. Liked the gameplay loop for the most part, but definitely had some reservations about certain aspects. Worth a go ⭐⭐⭐
unlabelledView post →@byasura.bsky.social gifted me this game with the note "This is a Malle_Yeno game" and yeah agreed (also Azzie is so cool ack!) The Painscreek Killings!🦝 www.twitch.tv/malle_yeno
unlabelledView post →If any human readers are genuinely interested, it's a fan fiction based on the indie murder mystery game "The Painscreek Killings". If you've played it or seen the playthroughs (like I have) my OCs are a group of teens helping Janet Kelly (player) solve the case. #videogames #mystery #fanfiction
unlabelledView post →I've got two(ish) recommendations, depending on what you're looking for: -The Darkside Detective: funny, point-and-click adventure game series. The cases are short, so minimal frustration -The Painscreek Killings: fairly realistic sandbox mystery. Does not hold your hand, so take plenty of notes

unlabelledView post →Took an anime break to work on another game I ended up really enjoying -- The Painscreek Killings! I'm a huge baby when it comes to horror or mystery games, but this one ended up being a very fun experience with a lot of really thought out lore from a first time dev team. Solid 8/10
unlabelledView post →If you like a good, solvable before the reveal, straightforward mystery game you should play The Painscreek Killings if you haven’t. It’s usually pretty cheap on steam and it’s a mystery game with the basis that it has no form of note keeping besides photos you take so you have to map out all the

unlabelledView post →It's a great credit to the genre that the name was meant to be derisive but so many people actually enjoyed the concept that it was sincerely adopted. Also I never see it talked about but The Painscreek Killings beautifully merged walking sim and mystery/detective game.
unlabelledView post →The Painscreek Killings is meant to be a difficult game with no hints and no handholding; it's meant to be nothing but the brick wall. So V4H did something brilliant: he played it, and he got three other streamers to play it, to see how it felt to actually do this
unlabelledView post →Bit of a late start but we're LIVE! Checking out another game that has been in my library for a while, The Painscreek Killings! Looks like a fun investigation game so come help me play detective today on twitch.tv/stuntmama! #PlatinumSquad #EBGG #HorrorCommunity #TwitchStreamer

I loved playing this with my GF, attempting to uncover the mystery for ourselves and writing info down in a notebook, and theory crafting just what happened in. The amount of detail in the environment made the town feel lived in and eerie. Especially with no soul in sight.
unlabelledView post →No no, these are characters from a game called "The Painscreek Killings". It's an investigation game that stole my heart completely recently! It's soooo good. The characters really got to me so I decided to make some of them in The Sims 4!
unlabelledView post →February: The Painscreek Killings I'd played this game through before, but it's full of puzzles and secrets that I didn't solve the first time around. Fun to revisit, fairly easy to pick up all the missing achievements!
unlabelledView post →Not quite the same format of an Obra Dinn or Roottrees but you might enjoy The Painscreek Killings as a mystery game, walking through a ghost town to get clues to solve a murder.
unlabelledView post →Are any of you fans of The Painscreek Killings? I never had the chance to finish the game, but I think my design philosophy is really similar to EQ Studios.
unlabelledView post →there is a type of game where you are fumbling in the dark and scribbling everything you can on a journal and taking pictures of everything and you pop off at a new key or a new diary and you are filled with dread every step of the way If this appeals to you, you should play The Painscreek Killings

unlabelledView post →The Painscreek Killings is one of the best detective games I've ever played. I need more games like it. Like a Nancy Drew game except it leaves you to put the pieces together. I love games that make you fill notebooks!!!!
unlabelledView post →Yeah I need to start taking notes! Last time I did that was for a game called The Painscreek Killings
unlabelledView post →Just played The Painscreek Killings and it was a really good murder mystery! It has some quirks (they need more music variety, the same tracks loop a lot) but this is a game that rewards actually using your brain and doesn't hold your hand. And it's spooky too! 🎮 #gaming #Mystery #Painscreek
unlabelledView post →I played but did not complete The Painscreek Killings. Fun game but bad timing, it demands a lot of focus. Might come back to it someday.
unlabelledView post →The Painscreek Killings has one of the funniest final sequences of any game I've ever played.
unlabelledView post →I'm 40 years old and I just wrote my first fanfic ever. Really! It's for a video game I've never played (The Painscreek Killings). I thought to see if I could improve the story a bit after seeing some walkthroughs and an interesting video essay about it. Otherwise it's a good detective sim game.

unlabelledView post →Just finished The Painscreek Killings and omg, what a game! Got me hooked from the beginning. The story was amazing and the characters felt so real even when I couldn't see them. Highly recommend to those who love investigation and puzzles!! The ending was sooo tense omg! #ThePainscreekKillings
unlabelledView post →If you like puzzles and murder mysteries, if you haven't played The Painscreek Killings, you need to go on steam and play that shit right now. No other game like it, I tell you what.
unlabelledView post →I enjoyed the studio's other game, The Painscreek Killings, because it was also the kind of thing you need your own notebook to piece together since there's no hand-holding, so I backed this one on Kickstarter months ago. Just downloading it now. There's a demo if it sounds like your kind of thing!
