I dunno how I missed that film, because it is perfect and feels like it was made in a lab for just me. I'm just now finally seeing Lars And The Real Girl. Excellent performance. This guy has so much range!
unlabelledView post →More THE NICE GUYS doodles. It came out 10 years ago this week. It was the first movie I saw in theatres after moving to Chicago, which means I moved to Chicago 10 years ago, and I feel very normal about that. Anyway if we can't get a sequel can I have money to draw their further adventures.
unlabelledView post →also if Hollywood had real balls they'd greenlight a movie about Himmler and Goering's turf wars in the early 1930s starring Crowe and Ryan Gosling (as Himmler). basically The Nice Guys become The Nazi Guys

unlabelledView post →That's right- it's movie thread time! Let's hear what ol' Lobster's shoved down his eyeballs in 2025: Kick things off with The Nice Guys. Really fun movie, Ryan Gosling's character is just rolling Nat 1s and 20s the entire time and it's great. Uses its sleazy '70s setting well.

unlabelledView post →They really need more movies that are just “a good time”. Is The Nice Guys a great movie? It was never trying to be. It was trying to be “a good time”. Movies starts and you watch it and you say, hey, pretty good time
unlabelledView post →Underrated gem of a movie, "The Nice Guys" is on Netflix now. It's an absurd 70's-set detective story with Ryan Gosling as the comedic lead detective and Russel Crowe as the straight-man muscle. It's charming, ridiculous, and fun and you really should give it a shot

unlabelledView post →Mine is The Nice Guys. Criminally underrated movie
unlabelledView post →It’s a crime that The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling wasn’t a huge hit that turned into a 3 movie franchise. It’s such a perfect movie. Expertly written, directed, acted. The fact it’s considered a flop and Fast and Furious makes the same as the GDP of a small country is upsetting.

unlabelledView post →Project Hail Mary was good as hell. Gotta be my number two Ryan Gosling film, right behind The Nice Guys.
unlabelledView post →I think it suffers from a lot of the stupid gross-out humor that was huge in film at that time. But yeah, they had amazing chemistry. The Nice Guys is still my favorite Shane Black movie though.
unlabelledView post →Russell Crowe in The Nice Guys is best Russell Crowe. I wish that movie had been more successful because I need more Crowe/Gosling buddy cop awesomeness.
unlabelledView post →When film makers do discover two male leads with chemistry they should knock out a dozen pictures. We should have a The Nice Guys universe.

unlabelledView post →Just realizing now that I accidentally called the 2022 animated film "The Bad Guys" "The Nice Guys" in a convo last week. "The Nice Guys" is the 2016 Shane Black film with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. Those are very different films. They're both very good. But only one is good for kids.
unlabelledView post →The Nice Guys release from @secondsightfilms.bsky.social is gorgeous. The film has never looked better and the special features are both fun and informative, especially the commentary with Shane Black, Anthony Bagarozzi and MVP @priscillapage.bsky.social.
