unlabelledView post →I noticed that too with how the last fantastic four movie ripped off the powers from The Incredibles. It’s pretty funny when you notice these things

unlabelledView post →Didn’t know he had a new film! Maker of the two greatest animated films ever, “The Iron Giant” and “The Incredibles.” Both of which reduce me to tears, every time, at specific moments. Can you guess?
unlabelledView post →The best FANTASTIC FOUR movie is THE INCREDIBLES. It's not even close.
unlabelledView post →I think that scene in The Incredibles where the guy sues Mr. Incredible for stopping his suicide is the most a superhero movie has ever hated normal people.
unlabelledView post →It's not possible for a Fantastic Four movie to exceed The Incredibles

unlabelledView post →The Incredibles has been officially inducted into the National Film Registry becoming Pixar's third film in the Library of Congress alongside Toy Story and WALL-E. It's so well deserved as it's such a fun superhero flick with great commentary and a fun tribute to James Bond.

unlabelledView post →The best fantastic four movie is still The Incredibles
unlabelledView post →I agree, this WAS a satisfying moment in the hit Pixar movie The Incredibles.

unlabelledView post →Watching The Incredibles in the age of AI completely recontextualizes the film in the best way. I don't think this movie was ever intended as an objectivist screed, but as a call to arms for creative people!
unlabelledView post →Huh. TIL some people critiqued the movie The Incredibles as overly libertarian. I guess because the villain's motivation was to give everyone powers. I always thought that this was just... bad writing that one accepts in kids' films. Struck me as more nonsensical than political.

unlabelledView post →My married surname is Blank-Settle. When our son was on the way, I suggested the name Dash, inspired by the boy character in the film “The Incredibles”. It was vetoed once my wife flagged up that his full name (when said over the phone) would be Dash Blank Hyphen Settle, which would sound ludicrous

unlabelledView post →The villain of the second movie is ALSO wealthy with an entirely personal vendetta against superheroes. In both films, the Incredibles are lured in by promises of wealth and luxury but then learn something sinister is behind that wealth. The capitalists in The Incredibles are the BAD GUYS!

unlabelledView post →Fair warning anyone tries that "the best version of the Fantastic Four is The Incredibles" with me is getting unfollowed, it's a perfectly cromulent film with a distasteful Randian undertone and only the most facile understanding of what superheroes are.

unlabelledView post →Cor. I would love to see more microbudget superhero films, and ones done without existing IP. It’s not remotely microbudget, but the Incredibles remains the greatest superhero film ever made, and Pixar invented the brand. You don’t *need* fanbait characters to tell these stories.

unlabelledView post →Most people who work for evil companies aren't doing evil things. A lot of the workers also actively try to do their best to make things better for their colleagues or customers. But they don't make the decisions. There's also lots of "passive sabotage/subterfuge" -- think of the scene in the original The Incredibles film where Mr. Incredible tells the claimant what she ACTUALLY has to do to get her insurance claim covered.
