As far as I know he's still a Burt Wonderstone Stan and also none the wiser.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (great cast) 5. 2012 (barely qualifies now at 40) @cornpuzzle.bsky.social @talkhoops.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →The Incredible Burt Wonderstone isn’t a perfect movie, but it’s watchable and has a coherent story, unlike the million plot holes in Now You See Me. Not sure how I wound up watching two magician films from 2013 within two months of each other in 2026 but there you go.
unlabelledView post →This movie would not have been possible without the two Steves in the main roles. They play off each other wonderfully, and Steve Carell does his usual thing superbly. The plot is ludicrous on its face and that's perfectly fine. The characters are over the top and quite wonderful. I didn't particularly like Jim's character in this, but I guess it's a throwback to an era where stage magicians were more of shock jockeys than they were artists. Overall, I found it very amusing and I'm happy I saw…

unlabelledView post →The Incredible Burt Wonderstone - 6/10 I will give props to this movie for not being a miserable experience despite most of the main cast being absolutely terrible people. It still has a good bit every so often. Ultimately though, it's just kind of fine. Jim Carrey crushed a puppy.

This film follows a pair of Vegas magicians as they come together again after they break their act to bring back their relevance as a new street magician hits the scene. The magician in question in turn tries to keep them out of fashion.

unlabelledView post →Amusing flick about magicians with Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Olivia Wilde Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) achieves his dream of being a successful magician, performing before sold-out crowds in Las Vegas with his partner (Steve Buscemi). But fame & fortune has blinded him and he’s lost the love of the art, even his love for best friends. When a new edgy magician enters the scene (Jim Carrey), it gives Burt a wake-up call and forces him to reexamine his life & career and rediscover his love…
