It is definitely a fun game, but really it's nothing more, the story is there I guess, the gameplay is fun but nothing to write home about and after completing the game it gets a bit too stale. Also, the extra challenges are a bit too much of a difficulty spike in my opinion. Nothing spectacular, but good enough for a nostalgia trip
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is really one of those gams I wish there was a mixed or just `informative` review for. This game isn't really bad, but it is completely flat. There is very little mechanical complexity and I haven't felt challenged at any point. I haven't finished it and maybe it gets "harder" once you get to the point where there is nothing left to level in the skill tree and you want to make it to the 100th floor but even if that is true the mechanics would be the same and there just isn't much meat on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →such a fun mechanics. its crazy how an old games have even better relaxing-progressing-action-complexity balanced out so well. compared to this days hundred gigabytes games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Enchanted Cave 2 is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is an unabashed, weak, diluted ripoff of Rogue/Hack as you tap your iPhone through a procedurally generated, incredibly samey dungeon crawl, with lightweight RPG elements. There's also crafting which is nice but does nothing to make up for the weak premise borrowed from far better, real PC developers, crap phoned-in (see what I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this because I remember playing the original and it reminded me of the wonderful years I spent playing Flash games on Kongregate before it went to sh*t.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings me back to a time when I'd have to hide the tab from the teacher.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Enchanted Cave 2 is the closest I have seen to the Ancient Cave from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. It takes that same addictive dungeon crawling formula but with permanent upgrades and a great music track. One shotting enemies is very smooth and extremely satisfying. It's a shame elemental attack and defence cannot be permanently upgraded which makes the final few achievements an unfortunate grind fest.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very calming to play due to its simplicity. Fun to play after a long day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has huge nostalgia factor for me, it reminds me of Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals Ancient Cave, that game was fantastic SNES game and The Enchanted Cave 2 is a great choice it scratch that same itch. (this game has a mobile version as well.) If your looking for a dungeon crawler, treasure hunting, RPG, this is the game for you it has so much to offer in such a tiny package. ::To the Developer of this game:: Your very talented at making games like this and it would be amazing if you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Creator is a transphobe. Don't buy anything from him.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and simple puzzle roguelike.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know if this will hit as hard for someone who doesn't have nostalgia from playing Flash games for hours as a kid, but I love that this game is available again. I used to spend far too much time on Kongregate, and Enchanted Cave was responsible for a big chunk of that. This is a fairly simple game but has a lot of pieces that require active management, making for an enjoyably relaxing experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adored this game as a kid so it was fun to revisit it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've played the flash version in the mid 2010's, this is an even fuller version of the game. If you also recall the insane achievement on ArmorGames, this will be a lot harder. It scratches the itch for sure. I come back to this game every couple years...absolutely love its simplicity. So much strategy, and there are so many ways to be more efficient as you learn the mechanics better. I am just a happy hamster spinning on this wheel :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played this game in a browser in secret in high school... i'm so fond of dungeon crawlers and it satisfies my want for the stardew valley mines to go on forever ... feels almost nostalgic playing and it's easy to get caught up in for a long time :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun dungeon crawling game with a simple story, very reminiscent of the old pc adventure games. If you have a soft spot for the old times, this game is a treat!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game enchants my cave 2
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been so impressed by the staying power of this little dungeon crawler! I first played it free on Kongregrate ages ago, and found myself missing it when I started getting into newer roguelites. It was an instant purchase when I found it was on steam, and haven't regretted it for a second! Elegant roguelite mechanics -- each run, you only keep certain marked artifacts, while others only benefit your current run. You can enchant gear with items found during the run for bonuses. Long-term,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I grew up with this game and it continues to be amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely planning on playing some of my older games this weekend. I mean, I started a fresh Yoshi's Island save on my 3DS last weekend soooo, but also hmmm. I have other games too. Maybe I'll also give The Enchanted Cave 2 another run or two, its such a fun game! Or maybe Neverwinter Nights?
unlabelledView post →I love this game. The premise was already interesting and exciting in the first game, but this second one improved on just about everything it could. I can't count the times I've played it and it is still charming, and even after ten years or so it still keeps giving. The optional quest modes are tough as nails, so they kept me occupied for ages, and there is just something so cinematic about going toe to jaw with a demon so enormous it literally cannot fit on your screen. I am currently…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good ol' fashioned fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A grindy fun little game that you won't think of often.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i used to play this game on the school computers back in the day i kinda forgot about it but when i saw it on the steamstore i instantly remembered how much fun i used to have with this game and Im proud to say its just as good as i remember

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely love this game. I played the Flash version on Kongregate and then just recently bought it on Steam after Flash went down. Took me about 40 hours to get all of the achievements, with the museum Completionist being the last one to achieve. I love how many different skill options and combat styles there are, such as going the pure attack/critical/defense route, or using elemental spells based on enemy weaknesses. I've beaten the game/challenge modes with both styles, and with a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10 hours to beat the game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was actually a free game included with one of my last Fanatical bundle purchases. Turned out to be surprisingly fun, the key is stacking health and mana regen so that you're always ahead of the damage inflicted by the cave's monsters. Took me about ten hours to finish my first play through, apparently you can replay the game several times as the enemies get stronger and more dangerous. Wish they had done an Enchanted Cave 3!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ quick and easy to pick up + beginning part when you discover how to play and what kind of items/enchantments exist is engaging +/- you are supposed to redo the same levels multiple times, otherwise you won't be strong enough to progress +/- there are common items, which disappear when you leave the cave and uniques, which you keep. However since you leave the dungeon all the time these permanent items are the only one that matter, especially after you enchant them. Interesting idea, but it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great and soulful game from 2015
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good, but the end game slows WAY down towards the end. I had a save that got to floor 98 from when I was a kid, and replaying it now I remember why I never actually beat it. Progress is so slow at the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is epic I wish caves were real
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice casual game. A substantial improvement over the original version. Can finally step over those cloth sacks!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games ever made. Seriously.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just says "NOT RESPONDING" when try to run
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game back on Kongregate years ago and enjoyed it. I enjoy it now still.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recently got back into this game to get 100%. This game is amazing, I was hooked after endless hours grinding the original Enchanted Cave on Kongregate, way back in the day. If you enjoy a bit of dungeon crawling and learning fun little enchantment/crafting systems with a roguelite aspect, this is a must-have game in your library. Want to set yourself a challenge and try something that makes the crawling experience even more intricate and makes you focus on every step of the journey? Go for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ok, i enjoyed the game. it is a relatively simple dungeon crawler. when you make it to the bottom, you can choose a harder mode, that starts you back at the top (essentially just continuing your journey deeper) i think it was worth the price. probably borderline, so, maybe buy it on sale... i come back to it now and again to start over, and its just as fun each time, so, i guess replay ability is ok. i think torchlight 1 and 2 are better, but they had a much bigger budget. a run to the bottom…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →please update the game or make a 3rd
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic game from the 2000 era. Recommended/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun and simple dungeon crawl game with really nice, atmospheric music. I've replayed it a lot over the years. If some day there would be an updated mac version, I would be really happy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3. Personally, I think The Enchanted Cave 2 is pretty underrated. It was a good flash RPG game I played when I was young, and it does have a Premium version at Steam, which I am currently “borrowing” until I get the legit version. ;3
unlabelledView post →I've played with the first episode around 15 years ago in flash. I didn't really remember it until deja vu hit me hard. I won't remember the second episode either. It might have started a subgenre, but at this moment it is just a very generic and extremely easy (therefore boring) rougelite dungeon crawler. If you know what you do there is no challenge. If you don't you'll fail and lose half an hour of progress. Years passed and you can play literally hundreds of better iterations of the same…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty fun game to play through while relaxing and listening to some youtube videos. My overall experience with it was great, though after several playthroughs as well as several new game+, it became clear that the Late Game wasn't thought out too well with levels being much harder to grind, gold being less valuable compared to stat points, and the stat points themselves being too sparce to make them worth going for later on. If stat points would instead allow you to increase your stats…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A childhood classic of mine. This used to be one of my favorite browser games to boot up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got it for free on Fanatical, otherwise I'd refund it in a heartbeat. Imagine Diablo 1 except: - you click on enemies and watch your character hack at them - you lose the majority of the items you pick up when you leave the dungeon (cave in this case), unless they have a golden rim on their icons - you can only leave with a special item as you can't go up any stairs - you have no teleport options that I saw, so you'd have to start from the first floor every single time - you no visual…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cheap time killer, more to the game than first appears.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Put many many many hours into this game when my junior high gave us laptops to take home, finally able to buy the full version and love the content i couldn't play on the free flash version. great dungeon crawler and the extra gamemodes are very fun aswell. if you like a game that makes you think about health before a fight or even magic points. you will like this (:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FR/EN The Enchanted Cave 2 ---FR--- The Enchanted Cave 2 est un jeu intéressant. ---EN--- The Enchanted Cave 2 is an interesting game. You meet at the village tavern to explore…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Curiously enough, this was one of the games that most picked my interest on one of fanatical's bundles. It's a great spin on a roguelike, with light stakes, ideal to play while having a stream or something alongside. Pickaxe sucks a bit, most often than not you will need 2 atleast, and if you need to avoid fights you probably won't stay enough to make a difference, after all this game is incredibly forgiving (wings are easy to get, you can take your time etc...). The power fantasy of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best dungion crawler game i have ever played!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very great game both for actively playing as well for if you need something to kill a bit of time with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i liked everything about this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's short and simple dungeon crawler that forces you to make careful decisions about movements and knowing your enemies. It was enjoyable. Try to get it on sale if possible though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gameplay is incredibly simple. Seriously this is more like an auto battler idler or casual game than a looter. but its fun and strangely addicting. Wish there was more variety in loot, puzzles and random stuff, enemies, and dungeons. But somehow I still enjoyed myself. Great value if on sale, and good for anyone needed a very simple game that borders on idling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. Just be careful to not die before you can get back out of the game. Leveling up with better equipment and being able to upgrade and save the new equipment is part of the fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is like the perfect game. Don't have to think too much, can walk away whenever needed.
