unlabelledView post →One weird thing that people deny is that the term "bucket list" came from the movie The Bucket List

unlabelledView post →The Bucket List. He and Morgan Freeman were great in that film.
unlabelledView post →My most Mandela Effect thing is that the phrase "bucket list" was coined by the 2007 movie The Bucket List, and has not existed my whole life. This fact makes me so mad that every few months I go look it up trying to prove otherwise.
unlabelledView post →I think the Punisher logo they designed for the 2004 Punisher movie that's barely remembered becoming THE Punisher logo in the hearts and minds of racists everywhere is another version of the Bucket List paradox (when a movie part has a social impact way beyond the impact of the movie as a whole)
unlabelledView post →Indeed, very good movies like Misery, When Harry Met Sally, The Magic of Belle Isle, The Bucket List. But for me the most special one is Flipped. This is pure magic captured in movie. I plan to see also the Stand by Me and This Is Spinal Tap.

unlabelledView post →Rob Reiner made the Phungo Card Checklist. Don't recall why he was in Philadelphia at the time, the only film he had out in 2007 was "the Bucket List" which did not release until December. I have no recollection of this movie and it starred Jack Nicholson AND Morgan Freeman.
unlabelledView post →Anyway my favorite Rob Reiner movie is The Bucket List.
unlabelledView post →The Shining would have claimed this spot (and is definitely a better movie overall)... but I dunno, something about The Bucket List just got me.
unlabelledView post →2025 is going to be the Year of the Bucket List for me. I'm going to make it a point to watch a lot of movies I haven't gotten around to and games I've been meaning to play. I'm going to need to finish Persona 5 at some point, but wondering if I should start there or on another game or movie.
unlabelledView post →The late Rob Reiner shared these three priceless bits of wisdom for when getting older: “Number one, never pass up a bathroom. Number two, don’t waste a hard-on. Three, never trust a fart. Fun fact: Jack Nicholson shared those rules in Rob’s movie 'The Bucket List'.
unlabelledView post →Rob Reiner about his movie The Bucket List: “...in the end, what matters isn’t skydiving or pyramids. It’s who’s holding your hand when you’re afraid.”
unlabelledView post →AI makes it worse, but people always did this. I've had multiple people tell me I'm an idiot when I bring up the bit of trivia that the 2007 movie The Bucket List is what popularized the phrase. It feels counterintuitive so people reject it, but the phrase doesn't really exist before then.
unlabelledView post →The one and only thing that I think could make me believe the Mandela Effect is a real thing is apparently the movie The Bucket List inspired the phrase "bucket list", and not the other way around
unlabelledView post →Things got heated on Reddit when someone pointed out that the concept of a bucket list originated with the movie The Bucket List.

unlabelledView post →Sort of like how the movie The Bucket List invented the term for when Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman do a bucket list.
unlabelledView post →With the plausible exception of the Bucket List, rarely has a film so completely reformed our usage of a phrase.
unlabelledView post →Kinda brought a tear to a glass eye that they preceded my wrestling with a Rob Reiner movie, even if it was just The Bucket List
unlabelledView post →I always regret The Bucket List wasn’t just a little better. It’s just trying to be a sentimental dad movie sundowner for Nicholson and Freeman and indeed was Jack’s last leading role. But just too many cornball and cheesy scenes and lines.
unlabelledView post →In the wake of the passing of Rob Reiner, I remind all that The Bucket List (a film he directed) is still the verified origin of that term
unlabelledView post →With the tragic loss of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle on my mind, I was given a mournful opportunity to watch The Bucket List on my flight today, which I hadn’t seen yet. Movie made me cry a lot and then I cried even more after finishing the film thinking about all the tragedy this past weekend
unlabelledView post →Did not know until now that the concept of the bucket list started with the movie The Bucket List. Just always assumed it existed before then
unlabelledView post →That movie “The Bucket List” made walnut ice cream sound like a luxury item, AND a dessert only Robert De Neiro would try

unlabelledView post →I haven't seen The Long Walk yet, and the new Running Man isn't out (?) but this is the best Stephen King film since the criminally underrated Doctor Sleep. It's not that scary, more of an inspiring existential analysis like The Bucket List. Great acting. Watch it for the dance scene alone.
unlabelledView post →The phrase "Bucket List" was invented for the movie THE BUCKET LIST (2007).
unlabelledView post →Speaking of your bucket list, have you seen the movie The Bucket List? Good movie. Sometimes funny, but also thought-provoking. I know you meant 2024, but I hope your words are prophetic regarding The Orville, that 2025 was very productive for you!

unlabelledView post →I see your point but I think it's debatable. The Purge was a successful franchise but it was never as huge as Jurassic Park, or The Truman Show, or The Bucket List. Also the original film that introduced the premise is the one nobody likes much. It definitely outgrew The Purge (2013).
unlabelledView post →Is The Bucket List disqualified a “no, but close” because unlike the Truman Show, people forgot the concept didn’t exist before the movie/people have generally forgotten the movie?
unlabelledView post →Never saw it, so this is how I find out that the bucket list from the movie THE BUCKET LIST isn’t a list of buckets.
unlabelledView post →Moving after a long time is interesting because you go through random boxes and have questions like “why do I own a DVD copy of ‘The Bucket List’, a movie I’ve never actually watched?”

I've never stopped thinking about The Bucket List ever since I saw it in high school. Such a beautiful film. Rob Reiner was transcendent and his movies have touched so many people, myself included. RIP

The Bucket List was out & she'd thought it'd be a cute option-She didn't confirm the title tho, & took 'em to No Country For Old Men instead 😅
unlabelledView post →Did you know that the term Bucket List didn't actually exist before the release of the movie The Bucket List in 2007?
unlabelledView post →No, The Bucket List was not Wild Hogs (the middle-aged guys motorcycle movie) or Old Dogs (the other middle-aged guys motorcycle movie), nor was it any of the subsequent wave of 'old guys do exciting stuff' movies (Space Cowboys, Last Vegas, RED...).
unlabelledView post →I don't know why, but I was fully under the impression Reiner hadn't made a film since The Bucket List until your thread
