unlabelledView post →I think Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker is a puzzlingly bad film. Like, it's bad in ways that I'm surprised that a modern film is bad in. Emblematic of this for me is killing off Hux's character, still structurally needing a Leader of the Bad Guys character, so also inventing a blander replacement him.

unlabelledView post →Shoutout to Lethal Weapon 2 for being an explicitly anti-Apartheid movie by the way (the regime was on its last legs by late 1989, so we can’t credit the movie with the end of Apartheid but the film depicted them as The Bad Guys with no quarter given)

unlabelledView post →After going good in their previous film, the Bad Guys are back in a new adventure where they're duty to do good doesn't go fully as planned. It's a film that's bigger and crazier than before and it's even better. Anyway, here's my review of The Bad Guys 2.
